We stayed at this property in 2009 and 2010 and loved the experience. Over the years we stayed elsewhere in VT when the property changed hands and eventually fell into disrepair. The Inn is now under new ownership and our visit was just superb. We stayed in The Carriage House this time around and the accommodation was excellent. Our room provided all the amenities one would expect at a five star resort albeit at a reduced cost. Breakfast was included in the rate and served in the Tavern. Items included freshly baked muffins, pastries, yogurts, incredibly fresh fruits, smoked salmon/charcuterie platter, eggs, etc. Dinner in the Tavern was so yummy; meals that come to mind include the pasta of the day, the delicious artic char and corn risotto dish. We highly recommend The Hermitage Inn and look forward to our next visit!…
Mary Lou and Tim Ricci have outdone themselves with their renovation on this classic, beloved Inn. We are all so grateful to have this special place up and running, better than it has ever before. The food is spectacular!! Every bite of anything you order is a WOW, and their attention to great wines, specialty cocktails and service is equally as impressive. They continue to add to the property to make things special, such as more firepits, expanded outdoor seating, a massage room and soon the Sugar House will be a gym for Inn guests. Whether you are sitting inside or out, this place is magical. We are so grateful!!!!
I stayed for 5 days at the Hermitage Inn with my boyfriend. I booked a room in the Carriage House and it was wonderful! We came when things were quiet so my boyfriend and I were literally the only ones staying at the inn until our last day! We had the Carriage House (and the property) all to ourselves and it was amazing! Our room was large, beautiful, and newly renovated with a lovely fireplace and a big flat screen TV. We had breakfast delivered to us every morning, which included delicious meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, muffins, scones, crackers and orange juice. Even though we were alone the inn keepers were always available to us and promptly replied to any questions or requests we had. Since we were the only people there the owners graciously invited us to a free lunch at the restaurant (which is delicious, BTW) to test out the menu before opening. The property itself is beautiful and in a lovely little town. I was so pleased with my stay and with service provided. I can't wait to go back! …
Once our favorite restaurant in valley, is now back and better than ever. The new owners have fully renovated the inn and tapped into an exquisite Executive Chef who is constantly changing the menu - we can't get enough of the seasonal changes and find ourselves ordering most of the menu.
Amazing hotel and personnel. Kudos to Corie and team. Breakfast at your room. Amazing spa and convenient location if skiing in Mt Snow The hotel restaurant is a must. Easy drive from boston and NY. We would definitely recommended. Hope you enioy it
I want to start by saying the reviews on this inn should only be considered from 2021 forward. The Inn was sold in early 2021 and is under completely new management — the attention and care that went into renovating the entire property is immense. The new Inn is stunning. Truly. We have visited 5 star properties all over the world and this beautiful little inn in VT holds it own! We had dinner in the dining room in late December 2021 and it was delicious. The truffle grilled cheese is decadent. Spaghetti Amatriciana was flavorful, unique and the homemade pasta superb. The crème brûlée was literally the best I have ever tasted. Can’t wait to visit again. Keep up the great work and service. This inn is a gem and we are so happy to have them close by.
After a recent opening , this place is awesome. We went for dinner in the tavern. The staff are professional, the menu varied and tasty. We were very impressed . The interior is very tastefully done. A wonderful addition to southern Vermont dining !
We have always loved the Hermitage, and it is now better than ever! We have dined twice there and everything from the deviled eggs, salad and entrees were absolutely delicious. I particularly loved the salmon entree. The decor is beautiful and the staff very helpful. The Hermitage is my new favorite restaurant and I can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyed a delicious dinner last night in the newly-renovated, elegant Tavern. Exquisite decor and interesting dining choices with an impressive wine list as well. Especially loved the Delicata squash/Burrata/hazelnut/pomegranate appetizer. The scrumptious fresh pasta with short rib entree was also something I will definitely order again. We met the gracious owner who shared info about the renovated dining room and inn opening very soon! So happy to have the new and improved Hermitage back!!
We always loved the Hermitage Tavern and are so happy to announce it is BACK! We really enjoyed our specialty cocktails and dinner. The steak tartare was excellent and then I had the double cut pork chop with eggplant purée and my wife the lovely trout entree. The portion size was perfect and cooked to perfection. The staff is so attentive, experienced and top notch as our server walked us through the wine list as if she was the Sommelier. This is the return of a dining treasure to the Mount Snow Valley.
