We had a lovely stay at the West Hill House B&B. Peter and Susan are very charming hosts, and our room was very comfortable. This is what you think of when you imagine a Vermont B&B! We'd recommend this as a nice place to stay in a gorgeous region.
My wife and I have stayed at several B&Bs throughout the years and we would have to say that staying at the West Hill House B&B has been our favorite by far!! From the warm greeting by Susan and Peter when we first arrived to our departure, we always felt welcomed and well attended to. Our room was the Logan suite located in the barn across the street from the main building. It was beautiful with a well equipped kitchen, a large bedroom with sitting area and two bathrooms. The kitchen had wonderful views of the pond and meadow below and the bedroom felt like it was nestled in the trees. The breakfasts were amazing using fresh ingredients from the area which subsequently gave us a taste of what Vermont has to offer. We also really appreciated the strides that have been taken in Vermont and by the B&B to be green with recycling, composting and the use of solar panels. Thank you, Peter and Susan, for helping us make our first vacation since the beginning of the pandemic wonderful!!…
From the moment we arrived, my husband and I felt pampered and cared for at the West Hill House B&B. Susan and Peter were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to create the perfect retreat we were hoping for. Our room (the Mountain Room) was clean and full of character. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the large jacuzzi tub invited blissful relaxation. Lots of thoughtful small touches too, including bathroom amenities, heated mugs for coffee/tea/hot chocolate, plenty of outlets for charing, and a cold pitcher of water waiting for us when we came home each night. Our two breakfasts were delicious and thoughtfully prepared ,and the common spaces in the house were perfect for curling up with a book and hot beverage which we did several times. On our last evening, we also enjoyed a scotch tasting with Peter by the fire. Peter and Susan are lovely hosts and very knowledgeable about the area - they had great suggestions for local hikes, shops and restaurants. We definitely hope to come back again soon!…
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this bnb, with Peter and Susan being such warm and welcoming hosts, and this being one of our best get aways ever!! They have an amazing knowledge of the area, and guided us on the best places to go for both downhill and cross country skiing. Their advice turned out to be invaluable! Our breakfasts were delicious, and they graciously accommodated my need to be gluten and dairy free. They were also so helpful in making our dinner reservations at great area restaurants. The Logan Suite was cozy with a gas fire place, jetted bathtub, great views of the valley, and even bathrobes for our use. We had such an amazing, relaxing vacation and will look forward to going back soon!!
Accommodations, included a gas log fireplace that not only gave the heat but a very romanic ambience. It is the inn keepers ,Susan and Peter, that"stole the show," as we were greeted even before we entered the B&B; they put everything aside to familiarize us with the many common areas even before showing us our room. Susan and Peter know how to make their guests feel relaxed and comfortable especially after a very long drive ending in the dark hours of the evening. Their gracious hospitality and engaging personalities along with friendly, informative conversation made the entire stay one of the most enjoyable we have ever had. They made us feel like friends rather than guests visiting their B&B. The breakfast portion of the B&B, a four to five course delicious meal set with a theme, our's was Valentine's Day, made the experience all the more romantic and pleasant. This is the most wonderful bnb I have ever been to. The hosts are authorities on the area and will book restaurants and other experiences for you. The rooms are well equipped ( they have 400 DVDs which you can use in your tv in your room). They have snow shoes,, poles and a sled which guests can use. I fell in love with snow shoeing. The snow shoes they have are top quality. Breakfast is delicious and all guests have been vaccinated and boosted so people can relax. The coffee mugs are on a warmer—what a luxury. Our bathroom had a jacuzzi and a shower. The Inn keepers think about all possible needs of guests. They are both warm and interesting people. We had a totally awesome vacation.
We loved our stay at West HIll B&B. The fresh snowfall, the delicious breakfast, the fire lit cozy rooms, and the attentive, caring hosts made our stay wonderful in every way. This beautiful Inn was more then we could have hoped for. After a day of cross country skiing I took a relaxing jacuzzi while my husband read the paper and enjoyed fresh baked cookies and a glass of single malt by the firelight in the sunroom overlooking the fresh snowfall. We could not have been more content. Thank you Susan and Peter
Susan and Peter are gracious hosts! Breakfasts are delicious and filled with great conversation. Rooms are immaculate and cozy. Common spaces are inviting - great place to relax after a day of skiing or exploring the nearby towns. Wonderful stay and looking forward to returning!
Peter and Susan are wonderful host. Their attention to detail is amazing. We stayed in the mountain room which was warm and cozy. Lots of areas in the house for you to lounge. Susan’s breakfast are delicious! We hear the flower gardens are beautiful in the summer.
We love staying in the Garden Room. It is so cozy and private with a perfect view to watch the snow come down in the winter. The breakfasts are always a special treat and the large table we are served at leads to a sense of family. Converstions are always lively from people from all over the States and Canada. This year we had the added treat of just being a very small distance from the 2022 HGTV house giveaway. Peter and Susan make you feel like you are truly home. They leave little notes to welcome you if you are late. Their motto is ask and we will try our very best to go beyond your expectations.
