Excellent accommodations and hospitality. We were there for the eclipse. Susan and Peter went out of their way to make sure all of their guests could experience this once in a lifetime event comfortably. Make sure to sample some of Peter’s single malt Scotches.

The eclipse experience certainly was amazing. Once in a lifetime for most of us - thanks for being here. And a single malt Scotch, or two, is a great way to celebrate a special occasion!

When we need to be pampered and come away feeling good about the world, this is where we go! Hosts Peter and Susan never fail to give fully of their time and efforts, helping us with their knowledge of community, feeding us beautiful breakfasts, and sharing their talent for meaningful conversation. Be sure to not only enjoy the lovely locale, but their beautiful home and gardens as well. During a summer visit, morning coffee on the front porch will set you straight. We never leave without regret or wondering when we can come again.

We really appreciate your kind words. When guests tell us that they "never leave without regret or wondering when we can come again" we know we must be on the right course! In the summer our gardens provide beautiful and peaceful solace. We are so grateful to our gardener Paté of West Hill Gardens who created the gardens around 25 years ago and who, with her team, continues to lovingly manage them.

Everything from being greeted and taken on a personal tour of the house to introducing us to other house guest was wonderful. The mountain room was very comfortable and spacious. The jet tub was a delight after a day on the slopes. All the extras, ice water in the room, amenities provided, complimentary water bottles! Breakfast each morning was delicious and a pleasant experience with the other quest and our hosts chatting together. We ordered the champagne and cheese tray. 3 cheeses with crackers, fruit sweets and other yummy things. It was enough that we had it twice! We will definitely come again, Peter and Susan are terrific hosts!

Thanks for leaving such a wonderful review of your stay! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed every aspect of your time here, Our relaxing jetted tubs that we offer in many of the guest room ensuite bathrooms are always popular with our guests! We're glad you appreciated the little extras like the ice water and amenities, and that breakfast was a pleasant experience shared with fellow guests. It's great to know that the champagne and cheese tray hit the spot too - Susan loves introducing our guests to a variety of local cheeses. We look forward to your next stay with us.

I was attracted by the proximity to Sugarbush (1 mile). And the breakfast reviews (yes, fabulous). But I hadn’t expected the total charm of the place, whimsical decorations, at least 3 different common rooms (plus dining room and outdoor spaces) where guests can relax and not be on top of each other. And while you can’t bring alcohol, they had a good selection of beer, wine, and (I think) scotch, all priced well below typical bar prices. This is clearly a labor of love for Peter and Susan, who were great hosts— happy to chat, appeared immediately when we needed something, but otherwise rarely seen (except Susan whipping up delicious food and snacks in the kitchen), and interesting life stories (if asked). Our room wasn’t large, but it had enough space to be comfortable. It was both well decorated and had everything you could want, along with well-placed instructional notes. I may have to come back for a longer stay in the summer!

With a foot+ of fresh powder about to strike, I searched for accommodations with EV charging near Sugarbush Vermont, and hit the jackpot ! While I needed the charging, I was not expecting to stumble upon this gem of a spot ! Peter and Susan clearly put their heart and soul into running an absolutely idyllic B&B that couldn’t be much better for skiers looking for a convenient location just down the street from the lifts, with hosts intent on getting you well fed and on the slopes for first tracks (if that’s your mission , as was ours). If you have special requests, they are happy to oblige. In my case, I asked if my 12 year old son could have a simple pancake breakfast with nothing fancy that would please most but might rattle his picky palate. Say no more - the next morning, Peter and Susan crafted a custom pancake plate in the shape of his initials - with fresh maple syrup - to my son’s absolute delight. ( My fancy breakfast was delicious too ! ) It’s these little things that make a visit go from “fine” to “fabulous “ !! Playing pool apres ski made for more memories, all while our wet ski gear hung by the fire to dry (a brilliant set up they have arranged for everyone to prep for more skiing or packing up). Speaking of more skiing, Peter and Susan were so gracious to allow everyone at the inn to ski on checkout day and return to the room after to grab our luggage, to ensure we all got maximum time on the mountain on a very special powder day. I could go on and on…..but you get the idea by now. Book it, you’ll love it !

Peter and Susan are the most thoughtful hosts. This was our 5th time returning to West Hill House and there is a reason we keep coming back each year. The hospitality, service, delicious home cooked breakfasts, and excellent DVD collection are just a few of the many reasons we love this place.

West Hill House B&B was a wonderful experience. Principally because of the thoughtful, welcoming innkeepers. The inn was clean and comfortable. The decorations and furniture added to the relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and served in three courses just the right amount. Peter and Susan knew the area well including Sugarbush, where to dine out, and local attractions.. We will be back. Hopefully as soon as this coming week since 20 inches of snow just fell.
