Me & my wife we visit Pitcher Inn for the first time, we had such a fantastic time here. Check in process was so easy, Mary Lou took the time to explain everything that is happening on property, also she escort us to the room. After a long drive that day, we decided to have dinner at the Inn. Dinner was SPECTACULAR!!! I had the Short Rib serve with grits, poached egg, au jus and pickled onion, my wife had Lobster Pasta - service was great - Betsy was so profesional and super friendly! We also had breakfast the next day - Chef prepared two delicious Omelettes, also our server Heather was outstanding! Every staff member that we met at the Pitcher Inn was so friendly and always with a smile on! Thank you Pitcher Inn for a great stay, we will definitely come back!

Two people in our party tested positive just before our trip to VT to visit family and we did the right thing not to travel and not to check in at the Pitcher Inn. I left several voicemails to explain the situation ASAP and was never contacted by the manager. I explained that I could not get insurance for our trip as the only way we would not go is if one of us got COVID and insurance would not cover for that. I was hoping to get some understanding and even propose to rebook whenever convenient to the Pitcher Inn - I asked to only use one of the 2 rooms we booked... All I got was a short email from guest service telling me that I will be fully charged for the two rooms :(

It's been two years since we've traveled (for the most part)...Covid kept us at home, being VERY careful. With numbers declining, we decided to return to the Pitcher Inn and were not disappointed (except for the increase in rates since our last visit which seemed to have doubled). We stayed in Arthur which faced Main Street and allowed us to enjoy the lights on Main Street and the comings and goings of the Warren General Store. Accommodations were lovely. Despite the weather, we were able to enjoy the nicely appointed porch/balcony. Loved the lighting of the rooms with dimmers and "all on" and "all off" switches. The bathroom was divine with the soaking tub and steam shower. Breakfasts exceeded expectation, even today when (during Lent) we couldn't have meat, the kitchen accommodated us with an omelet loaded with veggies! Heather was great in guiding us through the menu as well as plans for the day. Last night's dinner at tracks was delicious and intimate in the little nook...Betsey couldn't have been more helpful and/or fun! Highly recommend the Pitcher Inn to anyone looking to slow it down, get pampered, and truly appreciate what Vermont is all about.

We stayed in the trout room 2 nights. The room was beautiful. We saw others and they were also nice. The entire staff was so friendly. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we stayed the 2 nights the restaurant was not open. The pub was and the food was good-just pub food. The breakfasts were excellent.

It seems I forgot to mention the gifts in our room. Two Relais & Chateaux water bottles, energy bars, and a leaf-shaped bottle of pure maple syrup. It was such a pleasant surprise. The people were extremely gracious.

I just spend 2 AMAZING days at The Pitcher Inn. It couldn't have been better scripted if I had planned it myself, including snow over the weekend. I stayed in the Calvin Coolidge suite. I loved it so much I barely came out of the room given the decadent bathroom, lots of firewood for the wood burning stove, excellent food, nice take away amenities (local goodies), spacious balcony surrounded by birch trees, more than attentive service (Laura and Darcey at the front desk, servers Heather and Leslie, and bellman Mike). This inn is snuggled next to a little creek and across the street from the historic Warren General Store (good food, shopping and killer pumpkin cheesecake!). I can not say enough about this charming Relais & Chateaux inn. Well done overall!

Front desk staff was condescending and dismissive. This is a wonderfully located property but no where near as special as they think it is. The downtown location provides for nice walking but we are talking Vermont here so there should be more access to nature.

This is a well executed small New England inn. Anyone who appreciates excellent service, superior accommodations, and elegant food, will love this property. Be sure to dine in for dinner at least one night, and enjoy the lovely pub every night.

This property has recently changed owners, which may be the reason for the "bad". The area is lovely and the rooms are very nice. I loved the porch overlooking the Warren store. The front desk did have one very lovely greeter, recently moved from Boston, who I cannot praise highly enough. She was more than willing to go out of her way to make our stay outstanding. The breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant was fantastic. However, I cannot recommend the prix fixe meal offered in conjunction with The Warren Store. It was way overpriced and underheated. It essentially ruined my opinion of the hotel.

Having visited many Relais & Chateaux properties in the United States and parts of Europe over the years, the Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vermont immediately became one of my all-time favorites. From the enthusiastic greeting from the innkeeper when I arrived, to the amazing "Lodge" room (with a sky full of stars), to the fantastic pop-up dinner at Tracks, every part of my visit was wonderful. The Inn is full of interesting little features, art and other decor and very well kept. The room was even better than the pictures online, very clean, large, so well decorated with a great, spacious bathroom/soaking tub/double shower. The Inn staff were gracious and lovely and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I wandered around the village of Warren and the Mad River area and stopped by the great Warren Store for food and gifts. This was such a great experience, and I really can't wait to go back and see The Pitcher Inn during a different season!
