There are 4 dorm rooms, and two bathrooms. i could imagine when it is fully booked the demand for the bathroom is high. the decoration is fun. the bed was super comfortable. Very clean. The bar is open Thurs-Sat. currently in the fall. with a...

I visited in March 2015 with the guys, and brought my wife and 2 small kids back ... total 3 adults and 3 kids ages 2.5, 6, 7. We were there mid-week and were able to stay in a semi-private room which was great for the kids. The bar is spacious and definitely kid-friendly on a Thursday night. The owners...

I have stayed at Hostel Tevere 4 times. 3 times for skiing and once for hiking in the area. The owners have been great every time. The beds and bathroom facilities are clean and tidy. As mentioned in other reviews, the on-tap beer selection has a great sampling of local micro-brews. They also have cans/bottles of more local micro-brews (including...

I had an email booking confirmation from a month earlier, showed up on the due date and the place appeared abandoned, apart from 2 barking dogs in the closed restaurant in the same building. I seriously wondered for a minute if I had stumbled on a crime scene. Anyway, I continued driving 50 miles south to Woodstock, to the exceedingly...

Just returned from a two night stay with four guys on a mission to tackle Mad River Glen and sample some amazing New England micros. The hostel provided all the basics, no frills, and had a great hybrid NE//European flavor. The bar had an amazing selection of local micro (Topper, Lawson's, Hills ... to name a few). 5 minutes to...

Went here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary--we like the snowboading/skiing at the Mad River Valley has some great microbrews. The past year we stayed at Sugarbush Lodge which is about $20 more for a private room. But a hostel is more our style and a little cheaper. Plus they have a bar downstairs where we could sip on the...

Charlie & I stayed at Hostel Tevere last week over New Year's celebrating his 15th, skiing Mad River Glen & Sugarbush....we had the best time bunking at HT. Sarah & Giles are great hosts. The whole place was very clean & comfortable. We both had good nights' sleep in our bunkbeds after skiing and carousing the Warren/Waitsfield, VT area. There...

Go, enjoy, thank me later! Giles and Sarah deliver a fun and funky experience. The Mad River Valley has a lot of cool places and this is one of them. Seek them out when you are in the area. At the base of Sugarbush access road.

The owner, Giles, was a fantastic host at first impression, as I was to arrive late in the night and he called ahead to see when I was coming in, waiting for my arrival before he made his exit for the night. I can't appreciate that enough. Having this hostel as a place to lay my head for a Saturday...
