A friend and I skied Sugarbush and stayed at White Horse Inn one night. Comfortable rooms and beds, full-featured, more expansive breakfast than can possibly be consumed. We spent a couple of hours late aft / early evening in the cozy main living room with a roaring fire, enjoying a wide selection of local craft beers purveyed by the inn, as well as three separate offerings of cookie/ desserts available to all guests. Innkeepers were very hospitable, and provided excellent recommendations for dinner spots. Would definitely stay here again.
I was on a skiing trip to the area, and the White Horse Inn was exactly what you would hope for in a New England inn. Close proximity to several ski slopes, a cozy spot to come home to each day, and within driving distance of a number of restaurants and bars for dinner. My room was immaculate, and was perfect for my fairly simple needs. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Parking and room access were a breeze. I hope to have the opportunity to visit them again!
We stayed at White House Inn, for a fall getaway, and were treated very respectfully by the owners Bob and Allen. Matthew on the staff was especially kind and helpful. The breakfast was delightful and everything was freshly prepared. And Oh those cookies and treats!!! We were very relaxed and at ease during our stay, and will return at our first opportunity!! This Inn is so quaint and cozy. Our room was small, but just what we needed. All ammenities:hair dryer, ironing board and iron. BEAUTIFUL breakfast included. Cookies waiting for us in living room when we returned after our evening out. Info and directions provided to our event. Beautiful area in back to sit by a small pond, hammock for napping. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. We can't wait to return!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend trip in the Mad River Valley. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a view of the mountains and the coziest bed. The breakfast was different and amazing every morning and we got to chat with the owner who gave us great tips about places in the area to visit. The fresh baked goods in the fireplace room were phenomenal and were one of my favorite parts! But most of all we enjoyed the feel of White Horse Inn. It was one of the most relaxing properties we've stayed on while it's location was perfect for exploring the area. They also have a resident dog, Teddy, who is simply adorable. We could not have asked for a better place to help us unwind and relax!
