We spent two nights at the Mad River Inn and Brandon and Susannah were so welcoming and friendly. The inn has a great location with wonderful views from the deck where we had breakfast each day. Susannah’s blueberry pancakes are the best. We were also able to enjoy take out on the deck one night with some friends who were staying nearby and a chilled bottle of rosé wine from the bar. It was such a memorable evening. Our room was very comfortable and Brandon helped or rather to be exact, changed a tyre for us as we had a slow puncture on our rental car. It’s this kind of care and hospitality that make the Mad River Inn a great place to stay and we would thoroughly recommend it.
This was our first time staying at the Mad River Inn. Based on our stay, we would definitely stay again. The new owners, Brandon & Susanna, are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home. They've made many improvements to the inn and have more planned. Brandon was working on the fire pit when we stayed. It should be finished by the end of June 2022. We stayed in the Champlain Room. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom had recently been remodeled and was beautifully done. Loved the subway & penny tile in the shower. The breakfasts were delicious as were the afternoon cookies. Susanna even made gluten free cookies for us! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table downstairs. Brandon & Susanna had lots of excellent recommendations of places to see, hike & dine. We also did a day ride at the Icelandic Horse Farm. Highly recommend the Mad River Inn.…
Brandon and Susanna are the best! My boyfriend and I have stayed at the Inn several times now. It's so convenient, close to Sugarbush resort. We go ski and get to enjoy the hot tub after! They have made the Inn feel so homey, they make delicious breakfasts in the morning for everyone. Even afternoon cookies and pastries. I would highly recommend making the trip any time of year. -Amelia & Michael
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Mad River Inn. We really enjoyed the new owners! They are so kind and made us feel at home. They were able to accommodate my food allergies and served a delicious breakfast each day. The beds were amazingly comfortable.
We loved the new owners, Brandon and Susanna! They are a warm and inviting couple, who desire to make you feel that this is your home away. Delicious and creative breakfasts each morning were well received, especially those of us setting out to have day rides at Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm, only 10 minutes away. A daily baked goodie, ready each afternoon upon our return, added to the charm of this delightful B&B. Our room on the first floor was very comfortable (great bed) and more than adequate for our needs. You won’t be sorry you booked with Mad River Inn!
We loved our stay at Mad River Inn. The property and views were beautiful - we enjoyed two breakfasts and evenings on the back porch looking at the mountains. Brandon and Suzannah were such amazing BnB hosts - they had excellent suggestions for the area! The breakfast both mornings and the afternoon snacks were delicious. Location was great to get to hikes and shops in Waitsfield and Stowe. Would absolutely visit them again.
Just got back from a stay at the Mad River Inn. Loved my room which was upstairs in the back corner. A wonderful view from my "throne" looking out the window at the corn fields. The bed was very comfortable, great linens and plenty of hot water. Thank you Susannah and Brandon for the great breakfast and wonderful snacks in the afternoon.
We stayed at the Mad River Inn for a family wedding in the area and we were so happy with our B&B pick. Susannah & Branden are new to running a B&B but you'd never know it! They were just lovely! Rooms were clean and well maintained, beds are super comfy and we loved our room! Breakfasts were excellent. And so were the afternoon snacks - homemade cookies, banana bread and (my favorite) zucchini bread!! We took advantage of the pool table in the game room as well. We found a little slice of heaven up in VT and we hope to be back at the Mad River Inn soon!
We visited Waitsfield to run the Mad Marathon and truly enjoyed our stay at the Mad River Inn. Breakfast and dinner were very peaceful on the back patio deck overlooking the fields and Green Mountains in the distance, plus the purple haze sunsets were unique. Clean, comfortable, and peaceful rooms delivered as advertised. The downstairs game room provided a range of options for relaxation, the banana bread snacks were wonderful after our run day, and the Ben & Jerry's factory is a short 10 mile drive away.
We stayed there Labor Day weekend for a wedding, and the owner were wonderful. It's a quaint, cozy inn. The breakfasts were tasty and the the owners very accommodating. We would definitely return there next time we were in the area.
