My daughter and I had such a wonderful time staying at the Mad River Inn! The entire home was so charming and our rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast on the back porch was very enjoyable and the food was excellent. I have food allergies and graciously Luc did his best to accommodate. Additionally, our stay included trail rides at the Vermont Icelandic Horse farm. What an amazing experience with wonderful people and beautiful horses! After a day of riding we were able to go back to the Inn and enjoy the outdoor hot tub underneath the stars. Such a fun trip. Thanks so much Karen and Luc!

Nick made us feel at home in his house. His breakfasts were very good. The beds were quite comfortable. The heat was good without being too warm. We enjoyed the pool table in the basement. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great, room very comfortable and the hosts very welcoming and helpful. The house was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had our own bathroom. They had a television room that we never used.

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Mad River Inn. We went in August traveling from Burlington VT down to Cape Cod and wanted to break up the trip with a couple days in the Mad River area. Kinda wished we’d stayed there for the rest of the trip. The innkeeper, Luc is genial and welcoming, just a really nice guy. He made awesome breakfasts and made sure everything in our room was perfect. We stayed in the Hayden Breeze room, which is the best room in the house with windows on two sides and the most amazing cross breeze. We did run the window air conditioner for ½ hour or so when we checked in just to get the temp down a bit (August). But then we opened the windows and the breeze was incredible throughout the night. There is so much to do in the area: Icelandic Horse trail riding, Sugarbush Soaring (glider rides), kayaking and tubing, seeing a movie at the Big Picture....I fell in love with this area of Vermont! Oh, did I mention the Round Up in Waitsfield on Wednesday nights in the summer with a collection of food trucks and beer? You just can’t do better than this area and this Inn to experience all that the Mad River Valley has to offer!!
