My husband received a 🎁 certificate to The Featherbed Inn so even though we had reservations to 🎿 Stowe Mt., we stayed here and boy are we glad that we did! The 40 minute drive is beautiful and relaxing and completely worth the stay and delicious breakfasts made fresh in the A.M. by Karen. She makes an incredible, gourmet 3 course meal that beats the best of the best brunch places in NYC! You get fresh OJ, coffee or tea, sweet or savory scones, a fruit dish, and a hearty main breakfast course. It keeps you full enough for you skip lunch, which means more 🎿 time. For the evening, Mick chops wood for the 🔥 pit on the back porch, which we loved loved loved! For those skiing Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, the resort is only 8 min from The Featherbed Inn. But, regardless where we ⛷ in the future, we are ecstatic about having found THE PLACE TO STAY IN VERMONT!…
If you're seeking hospitality, exceptional food, and adventure in Vermont, look no further than Mick and Karen's Featherbed Inn. Footsteps from mountain biking and hiking, and minutes from skiing, the location can't be beat. They thought of everything, and then went a step further! Dining with them is an experience all by itself that will leave you wondering if you're dreaming or really awake!
Had a great stay for a quick ski weekend! Our room was large with a nice shower and a very comfortable featherbed. Only 10 minutes to Mad River Glen ski area & Sugarbush Resort. Breakfast was fantastic both mornings. Will definitely be back here next time we are up in the area! for a quick ski weekend! Our room was large with a nice shower and a very comfortable featherbed. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at The Featherbed Inn. Karen and Mick are delightful hosts (and excellent cooks!), the property is cozy, beds are very comfortable, and it's a very convenient spot for skiing at Sugarbush. We look forward to staying there again soon! Highly recommended!
My husband and I had not stayed at a Bed and breakfast for many years. This exceptional Inn is owned by friends of friends. What a delightful surprise! The most comfortable featherbeds were a new experience for us. Mick and Karen are so thoughtful--Warm mulled wine was offered to us on our return from skiing and additionally, freshly made brownies and corn bread! The breakfast was gourmet and kept us satisfied all day! We also arranged for the hosts to cook us dinner on Saturday evening. I would highly recommend this option if available to you! So creative and they accommodated our dietary restrictions. We will definitely return in the future!!!
