After staying in several chain hotels on the way there, we were delighted to be able to open the windows. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night and all was very quiet. Linens are sparkling white. Breakfast was VERY generous and cooked to order and included. Heather, our waitress, was a delight. Heather, the owner, equally so,and very accommodating.... More

We stayed in the bunkhouse at Mad River Barn Inn and had great accommodations and loved the restaurant and pub. Everything was really clean and comfortable, and we loved sitting outside on the adirondack chairs and enjoying the gorgeous gardens. Super friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

My wife found the MRB online while planning our trip to VT in June 2016. We were especially excited about the mention on their website about being a family/kid friendly establishment: "Please note we are a family-friendly Inn, and our clientele is often comprised of families traveling with children, especially during holidays. The guests that will enjoy our experience are... More

Owners were so nice & fun...would go back for sure. We stayed in the annex with many bunks. My kids loved it! There's an awesome swimming hole nearby that the owners encouraged us to visit--it is a must see! The game room was a wonderful place to cozy up with your kids after a delicious dinner.

We stayed in the Longhouse L1 and it was perfect. Over all a fun modern Vermont feel that we will go back to experience again for sure! Trendy Vermont decor, extremely clean and loved the bunk beds for the kids. I loved all the barn wood and the details in the fixtures. Very nice decor and spacey room for a... More

I don't know how to exactly describe this place... Whatever you want to call it - it is great. Great food and the bar is excellent. Great service in that rural Vermont kinda way. Will be back when we come to visit our son at a nearby college. We were here in the fall so cannot speak to what it... More

This is a great place to stay in the Mad River Valley - perfectly situated between the Sugarbush and Mid River Glen ski areas. It has been beautifully restored in a 'rustic chic' vibe and the rates are affordable, even during the busy ski season. The first few nights we stayed in a room in the Barn, which is right... More

This was a reunion. So we had a ton of rooms. The rooms were clean, warm, sufficient, etc. I do note that on the second day, we ran out of shampoo. The lounge with fireplace was amazing. The staff was outstanding. The drinks were great. The breakfast was pretty good. The food was average (had both a dinner, and afternoon... More

Best ski place in the Valley, period. Fantastic, newly renovated rooms are set up perfectly for skiers. The delicious breakfast is not to be missed, nor is the great hangout space and the bar with all those Vt beers you'd otherwise have to stand in line for. You will be soooo glad you stayed here.

Only stayed one night but will be back anytime I ski at MRG or Sugarbush. Located in between the two ski areas right on rt. 100 and worth the trip. A recent renovation has given the property a rustic feel but the use of repurposed elements gives it an industrial feel too. There are numerous touches in the pub/restaurant and... More
