We booked this hotel due to its location, style and facilities and booked one of their economy rooms. On arrival the hotel exceeded expectations, I'd emailed ahead for the opportunity for an upgrade for a room in the main hotel and for a nominal charge received a room in the main house. The staff on reception was pleasant and the... More

Stopped in Stowe VT on a bike trip in New England. Picked it because of the location (near the town's center) and that it had a restaurant and bar. It needs updating. The rooms are dated but were pretty clean. Although we initially planned to eat in the restaurant even though it appeared to be overpriced, we changed our minds... More

My wife and I stayed here last year during a New England Road Trip and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the main part of the inn above the office and the room was clean historic looking and really nice. We decided to stay here with our family this year on another New England Road Trip but what a... More

Stayed here on an overnight after motorcycle riding up Vermont Route 100. I booked the room largely because the inn had a restaurant and, after a long day of riding, a welcome place to relax for dinner. Room 211 is excellent, plenty of space, air conditioner worked well, bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is in good shape. Stay away... More

We booked the Stowe Inn because we wanted a last minute getaway for 4th of July & our favorite hotel in the area was booked. I'd stayed here years ago & remembered it was all right. This used to be a very busy & well run place. I have to say that the main building is perhaps the prettiest inn... More

We stayed here years ago when it was under a different name. What a disappointment upon our return. The bathtub was dirty and so was the floor. We saw ants and other bugs. The towels had stains on them and there were not enough. In the morning there was no hot water whatsoever. Breakfast was extra. The owner lives in... More

We have been staying at this hotel for one night with another couple. Although the hotel is nice, it definitely in dire need for proper management. It was evident that housekeeping is not supervised: entry carpet was not vacuum for many days, if not weeks. In the vestibule, there was still bag of salt and shovels for snow...end of June!... The Stowe Inn is a quaint overnighter in an even more quaint town. We grabbed a deal online after a last minute decision to head to Vermont for the weekend. We arrived to friendly, welcoming staff. The Inn did and didn't look like the photos on the webpage - I would have liked it more if it hadn't had a... More

We booked our room thru booking.com after reviewing the photos of the inn and their rooms. Their rooms are nothing like the photos on their site. Beware...they are much worse, especially the double rooms. We booked 6 days in advance. In 4 days, they only cleaned our room ONCE. They said they would let the manager know and it happened... More

When going on vacation, most hotels I book will have a restaurant and bar, so that my wife and I, at the end of a long day of sightseeing etc., can relax in our hotel with our evening meal and a few drinks (no drinking and driving!!). We arrived early on a Sunday evening and asked what time the restaurant... More
