Located just outside Stowe, on your way to the mountain. Quiet, next to a stream, since we stayed in the secondary building. Owners were very friendly and nice to recommend places to eat. Room was spacious and was nice to be able to back up to our door with our vehicle.

My wife and I visited again in mid October after spending the previous year fall foliage trip up here. We have visited Stowe many times over the last twenty plus years in the fall, winter and summer seasons. We have stayed in everything from large expensive VRBO houses, town homes, condos, and even at the upscale Mountain Lodge. We much... More

Great location and quiet clean rooms. Host and hostess very kind and helpful. Beds are very hard need softer mattresses. Once that is accomplished I would rate 9. Now I rate 7. Great walking path and The opportunity to rent a bicycle . No electrical outlets in bathroom. You would do well to take along an Extension cord.

Im conflicted for this review. On one hand the hosts are very genuinely pleasant and helpful, and the rates are as low as you will find in Stowe, but you may find the inn a real let down. This is example where Trip Advisor reviews cannot always be trusted. Based on majority of reviews I was expecting a best kept... More

This is almost more of a hostel than an actual hotel or inn. We checked in late after a long day exploring Greensboro and Waterbury and were tired. It was pretty humid out and drizzling and when we pulled into the place, confusion set in. We eventually parked behind the establishment, near a series of motel-like rooms and walked around... More

This hotel was perfect. We stayed in the main building and the room was a nice size and very clean. You can tell this is a family run business and the man who greeted us, probably the owner, was incredibly nice. You could tell this man enjoyed running his hotel and truly had interest in helping his Guests experience all... More

The VH is terrific and my friend and I have a great time. It's near the ski resort and have spacious room. The hosts are the best. They are friendly and are always there for help. We cooked two big meals there and everybody enjoyed themselves. It's clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Stowe is a fairly expensive place to stay, but it can be affordable and pleasant with the help of Riverside Inn. Our stay during peak fall foliage season was very reasonable, and sitting around the fire and talking with Julian and Kay and some of their friends made the stay even more enjoyable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.... More

I work a lot, and I've been feeling overwhelmed- so we decided to take a somewhat impromptu 3-day trip to Vermont to hike, eat, explore... I have visited Burlington many times, and was looking for a place to stay in that area.. But nothing was available due to it being Labor Day weekend. I'm glad trip advisor lead us to... More

Amazing! My buddy and I went skiing in Stowe for a weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owners are the nicest people I have ever met, they are so caring. We had left some beers by the window in our room and when she cleaned the room she moved them to the fridge... More
