This is almost more of a hostel than an actual hotel or inn. We checked in late after a long day exploring Greensboro and Waterbury and were tired. It was pretty humid out and drizzling and when we pulled into the place, confusion set in. We eventually parked behind the establishment, near a series of motel-like rooms and walked around... More

This hotel was perfect. We stayed in the main building and the room was a nice size and very clean. You can tell this is a family run business and the man who greeted us, probably the owner, was incredibly nice. You could tell this man enjoyed running his hotel and truly had interest in helping his Guests experience all... More

The VH is terrific and my friend and I have a great time. It's near the ski resort and have spacious room. The hosts are the best. They are friendly and are always there for help. We cooked two big meals there and everybody enjoyed themselves. It's clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Stowe is a fairly expensive place to stay, but it can be affordable and pleasant with the help of Riverside Inn. Our stay during peak fall foliage season was very reasonable, and sitting around the fire and talking with Julian and Kay and some of their friends made the stay even more enjoyable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.... More

I work a lot, and I've been feeling overwhelmed- so we decided to take a somewhat impromptu 3-day trip to Vermont to hike, eat, explore... I have visited Burlington many times, and was looking for a place to stay in that area.. But nothing was available due to it being Labor Day weekend. I'm glad trip advisor lead us to... More

Amazing! My buddy and I went skiing in Stowe for a weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owners are the nicest people I have ever met, they are so caring. We had left some beers by the window in our room and when she cleaned the room she moved them to the fridge... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Riverside Inn now for 5 years and have a standing reservation for the British Invasion car show every year. This was originally a happy accident selected by a travel agent for the first time we attended British Invasion. The travel agent said the inn keepers were British and I said book it!... More

I love this place - I come back here every year. The owners truly know the meaning of the word "Host" - they truly do very everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I find the rooms are clean, have recently been updated and comfortable. The atmosphere created by the owners is one of a very friendly... More

This hotel is dog-friendly and excellently located. The rate is amazing for Stowe. The owners are delightful, friendly, helpful. You can borrow bikes to ride along the river. The rooms are spacious, but have not been updated probably in 20 years. The sink did not drain well (but did eventually drain). Everything worked, heat, coffee maker. I think the biggest... More

I stayed in one of the motel rooms. It was adequate and clean. The property backs up to the river and the pathway to Stowe which is nice. Bikes on site for your use. Absolutely nothing wrong with the motel although it is older and dated. Owners are super friendly. It is a nice bike ride to town but otherwise... More
