My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for a “staycation” during Covid and we feel as though we hit the jackpot! We absolutely loved our stay at the brass lantern, the room was cozy and clean, Covid precautions were taken seriously and the living room and inn it’s self were so cozy and homey! We absolutely adored the owners Mary Ann and George, who we throughly enjoyed chatting with. The Amenities were wonderful- a clean relaxing hot tub, cookies and tea in the afternoon, and the most delicious breakfast (get George’s blueberry sauce on your waffle, you will never taste anything better)! We really appreciated the effort of every little detail put into this Inn, including the sleds out back which we had a blast with, the chocolates at the bedside, and the environmentally friendly soap dispensers/choice of towel reuse. Proximity to town of Stowe and the mountain is also such a bonus! George and Mary Ann, we can’t wait to come back soon -Brady & Evelyn P.S. We highly recommend the “Purely Patrick” jars sold by their son, we chose the chocolate cake jar and it turned out so beautifully! Also such a cute gift for someone you care about:)

We can’t say enough great things about MaryAnn, George and the Brass Lantern. Communication was great, and they were very accommodating of our late arrival after our wedding. Rooms were spotless, the fireplace was beautiful and warm, and breakfast was PHENOMENAL. We’re still dreaming about George’s quiche.... We already have plans to spend our anniversary here next year (and the next, and the next). Our flowers and charcuterie basket were extra special surprises upon arrival. We won’t stay anywhere else in Stowe, we look forward to coming back!!

We were looking for an in-state change of scenery and Brass Lantern was just what we needed during these times. We enjoyed the Mt Mansfield room with a comfortable bed and space for relaxing on the couch. Breakfast from George was a delight and it was lovely to chat with Mary Anne. Solid systems in place regarding COVID safety and lots of options for adapting during your stay. The hot tub was a dream - clean, great view, sign-up sheet, etc.

Thank you, our Vermont Neighbor! We very much appreciate your stay and for taking the time to share your experience here with us. As you note, for the comfort and safety of our guests (and yes, us, the onsite Innkeeper family) we recognize the need and the opportunities we have by being safe. As this pandemic will certainly end (and hopefully soon), we have in return felt so safe by our guests who recognize, respect and as you note, appreciate that we are doing our very best to provide a safe, peaceful retreat. We certainly hope we can have the opportunity to host you again. It will be great to be able to great and chat with our guest openly on the other side of this pandemic. We are so very much encouraged by the bright future that we know is out there. Hope going forward, Mary Anne and George

This was my first stay at a “Bed and Breakfast” and it was to me better than staying at a big chain hotel. Maryann was so warm and welcoming, and George’s breakfast was perfect! (Best waffles I’ve ever had) we felt right at home. This is the first trip I’ve taken given the Covid circumstances, but I will say I felt very safe staying here everything was very clean, individually wrapped items, tables were spread out. It was perfect! We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful Bed & Breakfast in Stowe to get away for a weekend or even longer! Mary-Ann and George are fantastic hosts that will make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive and are full of the best tips of what to do around town. The breakfast couldn't be better and every request or question is met with a smile. We felt very safe from a COVID perspective given how seriously they are taking safety precautions. We will definitely be back! As a side note - make sure you ask about and buy a "Purely Patrick" jar while there!
