Rooms have new Kohler Fixtures, lots of nice decorations, a real home feel. Very clean. The dining area has a fantastic view of the mountains. Very hospitable, I wanted to get up early to go skate skiing, the host made me breakfast at 7:00 am, vs. typical time of 8:00 am. I

My husband and I stayed 8 nights at the Brass Lantern Inn and enjoyed every minute of it. Mary Anne and George are wonderful hosts--warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area. (This was our first trip to Vermont.) They truly love what they do, and it shows. The

Goodness, it is us who want to thank you for the absolute delightful opportunity we had to host you for an extended stay here in Stowe. We do love what we do (now almost 9 years going) and we are so very rewarded by your stay, but, also for these very kind words regarding our efforts to provide you with a positively memorable stay. The sleep therapy machines have been well received. True story - we have been sleeping with our own machine for a long time as "one of us...." is a bit of a snorer and this machine gives a restful, continuous night's sleep for both of us! Thanks again and we hope to have you again whenever your travels bring you this way. Kindest Regards, George and Mary Anne

We stayed at the Brass Lantern Inn for a single night between two days of skiing at Stowe. The inn is very comfortable and homey, and innkeepers MaryAnne and George could not have been more welcoming. They prepared a marvelous breakfast this morning - fresh fruit, Belgian waffle

You never know what you will get in a B & B, but this is one of the best ones I've ever stayed at. Mary Anne and George greet you and make you feel at home. Like our house, they have you take off your shoes and give you sandals. This is especially nice in the winter to avoid

Joy, sorry for the delayed reply. We have just found this new way of connecting with our guests outside of our traditional business e-mail address. We are very close to several wonderful restaurants, however, in the winter the snowbanks along the sides of the road, along with the early evening sunset creates some challenges. We have several reliable taxi companies in town that will be available to shuttle you in case you would rather not drive. We just saw your reservation come through for a stay here during our fabulous Christmas Season. Thank you for your interest and most importantly for your confirmed plans to stay with us! George and Mary Anne

Joy, as others have noted we would be happy to coordinate and confirm, cost, date, time, etc. for a winter wonderland sleigh ride you during your stay here in Stowe. We have plenty of time to do this and would be happy to explain the details and the experience with you over the phone if that would be of any help. We have a wonderful relationship with Rachel of Gentle Giants and would include their link here if permitted by TripAdvisor. Please feel free to call us. We very much enjoy the opportunity to chat with our guests! Have you been to Stowe before? In winter? It truly is magical during that time! Best Regards, George and Mary Anne
