Such a fabulous place...everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and we most certainly appreciated the warm hospitality. We can't wait to return again...as we didn't have a long enough stay!

Property's Favorite Review
When we go to a B&B we expect a friendly welcoming place with staff who have expert knowledge of the local area and of course comfortable accommodations and good food. Inn keepers George and Mary Anne exceeded our expectations! They greeted us warmly and took us on a tour of the lovely rambling inn. Their knowledge of the area hiking trails, biking, restaurants, etc. was fantastic. (Google Maps doesn’t tell you, “you need to park along the roadside because the lot is closed”). And can’t say enough about George’s fantastic multi-course breakfasts served by Mary Anne. They were the best breakfasts we had in Vermont! After a day of hiking or biking we really enjoyed sitting on the shaded deck looking at the beautiful views of Mount Mansfield as we enjoyed our drinks and Mary Anne’s fresh baked cookies. It doesn’t get any better than that…a great place to stay!

Wow, thank you so much for these comments! As we have most likely noted before in previous comments, we are just as warmly rewarded by this position in life when guests/friends like you cross our threshold. Truly, it is a wonderful adventure being in this spot to welcome guests to our Inn/home. And when, as you have done here, our new friends are kind enough to take the time to share their experience with others considering a stay here themselves, it is not only critical to our business success, but, and more importantly, it is the ultimate validation that the leap of faith to take on this dream of a lifestyle so many years ago was a good leap! Thank you again for your stay and we hope we have the opportunity to host you again, here in Stowe. Happy Travels, George and Mary Anne

We truly enjoyed our stay at Brass Lantern Inn. We were visiting Stowe for my husband's birthday, and Mary Anne and George made the experience very special for him, with a birthday sign on the door, chocolates in our room, and a candle in his breakfast croissant! They were wonderful hosts, very sweet, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and cozy and the breakfast was delicious. There was a bit of AC unit noise in our room, but my husband slept right through it so it was probably just me. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Definitely recommend staying there if you want a more personal, authentically Vermont experience.

Mary Anne and George were great hosts during our short visit to Stowe. We would go just for George's outstanding breakfast. If you want to the feel of a Vermont B&B, this is the place --- the rooms are small but well appointed with updated bathrooms and even A/C! We started our evening sitting on the back lawn with a view of the mountains and enjoying a nice glass of wine (Mary Anne and George provided the glasses and corkscrew). Stowe has many options for dinner and, afterwards, we slept comfortably in the queen size bed getting up in time for breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights on a visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary. George and Mary Anne were wonderful hosts! Breakfast was delicious, locally sourced, and different every morning. They had a map for everything and great advice for activities, too. Highly recommend.
