Everything about the inn was so thoughtful! It was inviting, clean, and lots of notes everywhere to help answer any question you have. Maryanne was a great host and was also available whenever we needed anything. If we're ever back in Stowe, we'll definitely stay here again! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Thanks for making our trip feel extra special.
I would highly recommend the Brass Lantern Inn for your next trip to Stowe! Set in a perfect location minutes to downtown, with a beautiful clean room, including a fireplace and jacuzzi. From the moment we arrived we were met with warmth and generosity. Mary Anne did an AMAZING job of making us feel at home and offered us tips based on our interests of hiking spots to farmers markets and restaurants. She cared about making our experience in Vermont great while George started our days with a gourmet breakfast with fresh ingredients while we enjoyed views of Mount Mansfield. The outdoor hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a hike. We feel we left as friends and already miss our gracious inn keeper and the delicious food.
Well I’ve been here many WONDERFUL times. I’m never disappointed. We came for 3 nights our first overnight outing since covid. I felt safe and so happy to come here! Mary Anne & George are such wonderful caring hardworking inn keepers. So nice to relax and have a change of scenery. The breakfasts were beyond delicious!!! The tea & cookies in the afternoon yum yum yum! The area is so cozy & quaint. I cannot wait to come back during the summer or fall or both!!!
We had the pleasure of staying at The Brass Lantern Inn, located in Stowe, Vermont for 3 nights. The inn is lovely and provided everything we needed for an enjoyable off season getaway. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, and beautiful surroundings made this a great mini vacation. Innkeepers Mary Ann and George were attentive to our needs and offered many suggestions for exploring the area. We loved how there were so many different places at the inn to just sit and relax-from the large living room to the game room, to the back porch, to the patio, to the huge back yard with Adirondack chairs. Highly recommend The Brass Lantern Inn for a peaceful retreat.
The innkeepers did everything possible to make my stay perfect. Breakfast was great, especially the carmel French toast bake. My room was lovely and I appreciated the small attentions like ice and water delivered to the room every afternoon. Mary Ann is a great resource for activities in the area and one of the friendliest people I have met in my travels.
We stayed for 2 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was very comfortable as was the guest’s lounge. The breakfast was excellent as were the biscuits and cakes that were available in the afternoon. Mary Anne and George are welcoming hosts and offered lots of tips on where to go in Stowe. I would definitely recommend staying at The Brass Lantern.
Our new favorite place in Stowe! Really close to the town center (just a mile, easy to go by foot), charming and clean inn. Mary Anne and George are so sweet, funny and really caring about their guests, baking cookies and sweets everyday they made available throughout the day, along with coffee and tea so you can take a break anywhere around the house and when you feel it, no rush, no stress. George's breakfasts are really good and filling, Mary Anne is the best to arrange the cups of butter in a bowl (haha, I'm joking!). She is lovely with all the small attentions and details which make our stay really cozy and stress less. Rooms are really cute and comfy, the inn is vast and charming. Splendid view on the mountain! Our new go-to spot!.😁😁
If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a homely B'n'B, the Brass Lantern Inn is the place for you. The owners, Mary Anne and George, are kind and welcoming hosts and make sure your every part of your stay is comfortable -- including that you're well fed! They provide individually cooked breakfast each morning, taking into account each guest's preferences/needs and have a rotating menu each day, filled with wonderful home-cooked treats (courtesy of George). There's also tea/coffee available all day, and cookies/baked goods served in the afternoon. The hosts are also incredibly caring and mindful of public health -- they've wrapped plates individually in cling film if guests want to use them to eat their own food. As warm and cosy as the inn feels, it's actually pretty huge. There are several rooms to enjoy the delicious food - from a dining room with tables to other lounge areas with comfy couches and a fireplace and tons of board games. There's also an outdoor hot tub that's amazing. Each guest room is comfortable, clean and tidy and cleaned every day (with chocolates left each day). The amenities of the room were comparable to that of a 5 star hotel -- we're talking chocolates on bedside, bathrobes, mouthwash. My room - Mt. Clark - also had an air purifier in it. They also provide a Brita water pitcher in each guest room that was refilled each day so you're never out of water or wasting plastic water bottles! Incredible - never stayed at a place that was so forward-thinking in this way. Many rooms have lovely views of the large garden and mountains. The location of the inn is also great - just a 5 minute drive to route 108/Mountain Road, which is where the shops and restaurants are. Mary Anne was gracious enough to help plan an itinerary for my day, providing great knowledge of good places to visit only a local could give. I had such a wonderful stay and highly recommend this family-run inn over other impersonal "fancy" resorts. If I return to Vermont, I'll certainly be making another stop in Stowe and be staying at the Brass Lantern Inn.…
A typical "good" hotel or B&B might have the fundamentals down, but beyond that, it's the details that make a place stand out. Mary and George were great hosts, making all the guests feel really welcome at check in and breakfast. The hot tub 1. has a fantastic view of the lawn/mountains and 2. probably a top of the line model. Not only bathrobes, but slippers. Although a historic inn, our room still had easy to access, tabletop outlets for charging, a thoughtful update (and WiFi was great). Hot water + a nice tea selection readily available all day. There were so many nice, thoughtful details. The specific location was really nice too. A very peaceful spot, but Main Street Stowe was only like 3 mins down the road by car.
Our recent stay was terrific, one of the nicest Inns we have stayed at! Mary Anne and George were wonderful. We would certainly recommend this establishment to anyone and hope to return there ourselves.
