There are too many lovely people to thank ...... Everyone was helpful. Stayed 2 days. Next time we'll stay a week. Edison Hill is a magical place. The restaurant was very good. Stowe was beautiful. I can't say enough about the hospitality and kindness.

My husband and I try to book a stay once a season and it never disappoints! We visited in the fall for a gorgeous week in Vermont and just recently returned home after a weekend skiing in Stowe! We were sure to take advantage of the cross country ski trails at Edson Hill too. It was amazing! The staff here is excellent, helpful and very hospitable. The rooms are gorgeous and the soaking tubs are the icing in the cake. Can’t wait to return next season!

Was delighted to get a reservation here, one of the finest dining experiences in Stowe, very last minute. Covid has changed so much, and I always feel grateful that wonderful restaurants have somehow managed. That said, we were seated in the living room in big, over-stuffed chairs, the type that are great by the fire, but have you struggling to sit up to eat from. And add to that the extended tea table we were sat at, whose pedestal legs prevented one from tucking under - most uncomfortable to eat at. The dining experience was otherwise enjoyable, personable service and a comfortable pace. The mushroom toast was disappointing- a little mushy, a little bland. The grilled radicchio salad with figs was a delight, the sweet figs a genius complement. My rib eye (12 oz) was outstanding- the combination of the most perfect char and a medium rare temp produced a buttery, ambrosia mouthful of scrumptious steak. The onions were too al dente for me and the mash potatoes too runny and not garlicky enough - but no matter, the steak was incredible. My daughter had the duck and raved about it. The leg was fall apart tender, moist and tasty. The breast was cooked to perfection. Cocktail list is interesting- the vodka drink was distinctive and satisfying, the gin thyme drink satisfying. Dessert was disappointing- admittedly I’m fussy when it comes to bread pudding. All the components were there-cinnamon bread base, delightful coconut ice cream on the side- but the pudding was no pudding, more like a thick slice of cooked bread. Wouldnt order it again. Did overhear other patrons rave about the pana cotta, though.

I, rarely, write reviews. The Edson Inn is, by far, superior in every way. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous. I can't find one thing they need to improve on. Every detail attended to. As close to perfect as you can get!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Edson Hill. I am high risk in terms of covid and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and did not have to put ourselves at risk. We had a particularly nice time nordic skiing and the trails on the property are absolutely beautiful and secluded. The food and drinks were also delicious. We will definitely be back.
