Lovely inn, super friendly and helpful staff. We stayed at the main inn but cottages looked lovely. Fireplaces, either gas or wood offered in some/all ? rooms. You can dine downstairs at the tavern or upstairs main dining room. Great food and intimate ambiance. Beautiful grounds. Best place to stay in Stowe!

Hotel's Favorite
We went to Edson Hill for a few days during a whirlwind tour of New England. If I could have put this resort in my pocket and taken it with me everywhere we traveled, I would have! The grounds are lovely, private and serene. The room was top notch, with a cozy fireplace, plenty of sitting room and a cozy bed. It was extremely clean, which speaks to my neat freak heart. The breakfast is included with your stay and was incredible, I've been dreaming about it ever since. My very favorite part/feature was the outdoor bar area that overlooks the grounds. We sat rocking there from 5pm on one night, just breathing in the crisp mountain air and enjoying the kindness of our server, Lindsay. We ate a light dinner there as well and it was delicious. We were only there two days and I am definitely ready to go back. Hopefully we'll be able to visit in the fall or winter again soon. It was truly top notch!

This is a beautiful, Instagram-worthy rustic chic resort on a truly gorgeous piece of land. The view from the back deck is breathtaking. The interior design, hiking trails, barn, and overall aesthetic is magazine-worthy and perfectly Vermont-y. The food at their acclaimed restaurant was very good but, not excellent or memorable. (The staff was excellent.) We were very disappointed in our very expensive room (named "Life is Now.") We literally had to walk just past the busy kitchen door, through the rear of the restaurant to get to the back staircase, and up the stairs to a small attic-like space. The office was directly across the hall from our door and we could hear the staff chatting and making reservations all day. Our room was small, stuffy, and very basic. Our king bed was two twins pushed together. The bathroom was TINY as was the plastic pre-fab shower. (They only show a picture of the headboard in this room for a reason.) For the $$$$ price, the room should have been much nicer. We loved the vibe and the staff but, the room was MUCH less than you would expect for this level of resort.

Beautiful and secluded place to stay with an amazing restaurant on site. Absolutely loved our getaway here and will return in the future. Every single person we interacted with was very nice. We especially liked our waiter at the restaurant that we saw every morning. His name was Justin and he was a ray of sunshine. Absolutely one of the nicest people.

My husband and I stayed at Edson Hill during the end of September/early October for a weekend getaway. We had a wonderful time, and the grounds were beautiful. We arrived quite late due to flight delays, and the Edson Hill team left very detailed instructions on how to find our room. The next morning they gave us a tour of the property. We absolutely loved having breakfast each morning by the fire, and the food was great! We would highly recommend staying at Edson Hill, and we will hopefully be coming back in years to come.

We always go to the restaurant twice a year. Last night we tried their new fall menu. Absolutely amazing. The duck and saffron risotto were delicious. The orchietta pasta with sage cream sauce was mouth watering. Ben was an entertaining bartender. Thank you Peter you never disappoint!

Excellent location in Stowe area. The rooms were fabulous, the Tavern perfect and cozy with full service bar, the restaurant lovely outdoor patio with heaters and the dinner was excellent as was the daily breakfast. The surrounding restaurants also fabulous… duck at The Bench and venison, yes the venison (game meat always bit tricky I’ve found in past!) at Van Trapp! We hiked up 4000 footer Mt Mansfield, had great food and glass wine at Cliff restaurant at top and then took the gondola down! Not so much fall foliage color time we visited end of September however pleasant fall weather entire time, lucking out on rain! Very much enjoyed! TM

We started our trip to Stowe with a nightmare at another place but Eric and Morgan turned our visit to heaven on earth with their hospitality and willingness to help us to enjoy our visit. The accommodations were superior and the breakfast each morning was very delicious. This is a special place to visit in Stowe. The dinners are excellent and the view is so peaceful. We will definitely be back every time we visit Stowe.

Where to even begin with Edson Hill! My now husband and I just got married there this last weekend and all I can say is wow. They actually left me speechless!! From their amazing accommodations to their friendly staff I have never felt more taken care of. My wedding day was stress free, and I owe it all to the incredible people at Edson Hill. They will always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy, and so so friendly that I feel like i have known them all for years. They treat you with the upmost care and respect and we couldn't have asked for anything more. We still have guest telling us how unbelievable the food and staff were. I cannot thank the team there enough. We cannot wait to come back to our home away from home. If you are ever thinking about staying at Edson Hill, DO IT! You will never forget it, and you will be treated like family.
