Overall a good visit the queen bed was very uncomfortable and not up to their normal standards did not get much rest. Staff was courteous and continental breakfast could be better. I like a nice piece of toast which I thought goes with it. They continue to add little things like a guest room so that one can have a meal that you get from take out. Overall ok for the most part.

My husband, friend, and I stayed here for the Steampunk Festival. We stayed one night and were very pleased with our visit. We stayed in the "family room" which had two beds and a couch. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. The room did not have a mini fridge or microwave but that was okay for us. There is a guest lounge with a refrigerator if needed. The festival was very fun and well coordinated. I wish the Tavern had more vegetarian options and that the restaurant piece was not closed. We had a lot of fun though and will likely go again next year!

Enjoyed our stay during recent visit while attending Stellaphane convention. Clean room, attentive staff (but not overbearing), simple but tasty breakfast. The main potion Inn itself is beautifully maintained with 2 different addition from 50"s and 70"s.

My wife and I stayed in a room in what they call the carriage house last weekend. The carriage house is behind the main property shown in all the pictures and was built in the 50's (compared the historic main house built in 1904). When booking a room this will not be entirely evident though they do reference carriage house vs. mansion in the bookings. The carriage house is a relatively modern simple hotel with none of the character of a 1904 mansion of course, but this is reflected in the reduced price. When booking a room, be mindful of the difference. The booking will also reference "breakfast" but upon arrival you are presented with a slip of paper requesting what you want on your breakfast sandwich. This is not a bed and breakfast with full breakfast. With that being said, our stay was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Our room had an individual heater, window style AC unit mounted in the wall, flat screen tv, and nice size bathroom. We were expecting basically an Egg McMuffin for breakfast after seeing the slip of paper for this during check-in, but it was larger than expected and very tasty. They also have cereals, yogurt, tea, and coffee. The wifi was very fast as well. The Tavern was closed (they were just reopening for seasonal business) but is quite large with a full bar. I'm sure it would be a nice place for an evening drink. We will definitely stay here again if passing through this area. You are located 3/10's of a mile from the downtown/mainstreet where there are restaurants, a little movie theater, a little ice cream parlor, etc.
