A Vermont gem, this B&B will accomodate the most discerning of guests. The accomodations are beautifully appointed with great attention to detail and lots of country charm. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. Carol and Michael are wonderful hosts and make sure you feel at home without being the least bit intrusive. Breakfast is made to order and everything is made with fresh ingredients. Fresh fruit plate, warm muffins and croissants right out of the oven, eggs any way you like them, and more. Cozy fires at night, games and books to keep you entertained, peace and quiet to relax and renew, or borrow some snowshoes - it's up to you! Our visit was snow covered, but we are just as eager to return in warmer weather to enjoy the decks, grounds, and spectacular views. Treat yourself - stay here!…
We stayed for just one night on our New England road trip and found the location just as lovely as we had hoped. The room was cosy and very pretty and the views from the deck in the morning and from the breakfast room was stunning. The kitchen wasn't open the evening we stayed and we had to drive quite a way for dinner which was a bit of a shame (although The Downtown Grocery in Ludlow was worth the drive) and we felt the room was small for what we paid.
Beautiful inn and cottages with views of the mountains. Great service and staff very helpful. Only drawbacks are no TV service in cottages (helpful for viewing weather reports if nothing else) and internet service is spotty.
Crisanver House gets its praise deservedly. Its a beautiful old VT home which has been lovingly restored and expanded. Carol, and Michael are just wonderful hosts. Ever ready to make the guest experience richer. I would recommend Crisanver House heartily.
We had a wonderful winter stay at Crisanver House and immediately felt comfortable there! The rooms and entire Inn are lovely with beautiful furnishings. The hospitality was warm and gracious. We enjoyed exploring the property on snow shoes. We highly recommend a dinner at the Inn for one of Carol’s gourmet creations. Overall our stay was fantastic and we look forward to returning!
What a lovely property with gracious hosts. We were concerned when we arrived on a dark, rainy night driving up a dirt road but it worked out to be convenient to our Vermont day trips. The views from the breakfast area are unbeatable, the amenities cannot be better...Keurig, pretzels, candies, rec room downstairs, fireplace in the main living room, library and a chess game begging to be played. The multi-course gourmet breakfasts were delightful and Carol cooked dinner for us one evening...yum! They lined the room with candles and I selected an excellent red wine to accompany my meal. I felt spoiled when I left and cannot recommend a stay here enough.
This is the best B & B ever! My friend and I were hiking with Inn to Inn and this was our last Inn. This was just beautiful. We could have stayed forever. The food, the accommodations, the grounds-everything was perfect.
We spent a few days at Crisanver house. Carol and Michael were wonderful hosts and certainly made us feel at home in their beautifully restored historic inn. Carol is a great chef and Gail was a friendly, efficient and helpful server. The breakfasts were to die for and the dinner was superb. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale getaway.
We stayed here for 4 nights in the Pinnacle Room. It was an amazing retreat. Very cozy and clean. The breakfast that was included with our stay was excellent. Carol, the innkeeper, made sure everything was done to our liking. The views from our room were flawless. The inn itself is nestled on a large private property with breathtaking views, which makes it the perfect getaway from the city. It is also relatively close to several ski resorts and restaurants. Will definitely visit again in the near future.
We went here for our Honeymoon in mid December and it was the most perfect time! We stayed in the Shrewsbury Cottage, which was so incredibly cute, for 2 nights. Our favorite features of the room were it's fireplace, big cosy bed with a mountain view behind it, and of course the whirlpool tub! Carol was such a great host, greeting us with a bottle of wine on arrival, making our dinner reservations at recommended restaurants, everything was taken care of! Not to mention the beautiful breakfast that was served each morning! We truly enjoyed this mountain getaway and cannot wait to go back!
