We stayed here one night as we were on a bike trip in early October. The Inn is filled with family history and is just beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in the Brown room. It is a very large and the furniture is just beautiful. Comfy beds and had an excellent view of Lake Champlain. The grounds are beautiful to...

We have had the pleasure of staying here on 3 separate occasions and have been impressed by the attention to detail, fantastic service and reasonable prices to stay at such a jewel. A room steeped in history, and period furnishings, can be had for as little at $175 a night. That price also includes a lovely continental breakfast and use...

We were fortunate to be able to stay the last weekend in mid-October before they close for the winter and it was magical. Sure, it was a bit chilly at night since the rooms are not heated but the comforters are ample and cozy and the Inn is beautiful. We loved the grounds, the views of Lake Champlain, the tour...

I love old historic hotels so I was in heaven here. This was built by a Vanderbilt daughter and contains 75% original furnishings. Very friendly staff who take pride in what they are preserving. The grounds are beautiful. Peaceful. Romantic. Well worth it.

The food sadly is not as not a grand as the setting. To be clear, Shelburne Farms is a Very special, very unique place. And maybe it doesn't matter that the food is more suited to a midwestern Hilton. The food is pleasant enough, but ordinary. The servers as well seem pleasant but more for a paycheck than commitment. The...

This old restored mansion on a 1500 acre sustainable farm was a highlight of our trip. The Inn is right on Lake Champlain and the rooms have windows looking out to the lake, The building has been restored beautifully and though it is not modern in any sense, it is very comfortable. There are walking trails throughout the property and...

The Shelburne Inn was occupied by the Vanderbilt family until the mid 1970's making this Gilded-Age mansion a experience in the lifestyles during this period. Most of the furnishing and personal belongings (books, family portraits and furniture) are still in the home. The view of Lake Champlain is worth the stay along with the afternoon tea, amazing restaurant, charming service,...

Last weekend, The Inn at Shelburne Farms was the backdrop to our daughter’s wedding. The entire Inn was filled with our family and friends, and for 2 magical days – we were Vanderbilts. The staff, most specifically Morgan LaCroix and Julia Swee, worked with us to ensure an absolutely flawless event. Every one of our guests raved about the location...

Just returned last week from a quick trip over to the Inn at Shelburne Falls. Packed as much as we could of this incredible property in the short amount of time we had at the Inn. Unbelievable customer service all around. Our room (Dutch) was overlooking the Lake and was very in tune with the feel of the grand house...

The Inn is beautifully situated with exquisite views of Lake Champlain and the rolling mountains beyond. Our room ["Lilac"] was spacious and full of light but we found the furnishings a bit tired overall. The bed was OK, we asked for additional pillows as the two provided were kinda skimpy. Open windows and a large fan as well as a...
