We only had time for one night but well worth the stay. We arrived late on train, but owners were very nice about it. We got a tour of the inn in the morning to see all the rooms. Breakfast was amazing. The patio was perfect for coffee and cool weather. Walking distance to Main Street and ample parking at the Inn. I think it had only 5 to 7 rooms, so is booked solid through summer and fall season. I would recommend to stay here again for the same reason... Fall leaf peeping!!
We stayed at the Back Inn Time Bed & Breakfast for 4 days for our 25th wedding anniversary. Since we never stayed in Vermont before, we picked B.I.T. just from seeing it's website. We couldn't have picked a nicer B & B! The house and gardens are beautiful. We stayed in two of the rooms. They were both very clean and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. The hosts, Ron and KarenMarie, were amazing! They recommended places to visit and restaurants to try. We had wonderful conversations with them (and the other guests). The breakfasts each morning were incredible! The B & B is within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants and a short drive gets you to Lake Champlain. We highly recommend this B & B.
This is a lovely and comfortable BnB. My room was attractive and comfortable, service and breakfast was great, and the whole vibe is of a beautiful gracious old home. It’s in easy walking distance to town and rail station without being downtown.
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed staying at this lovely B&B. This beautiful old home has been restored and lovingly appointed with no detail left out. Karen Marie and her husband are gracious hosts and made me feel at home from the start while I was staying a week with them visiting my son and grandchildren. I think I may have gained 5 lbs from the delicious and amazing breakfasts i was served every morning! Anyone looking for a lovely, quiet, restful place to stay in St. Albans, this is the place! I would highly recommend and look forward to staying at Back Inn Time again!
I booked a stay at Back Inn Time to both attend the VT Maple Festival this year as well as celebrate my spouse and my wedding anniversary. From the beginning, Karen Marie was the most gracious of hosts, and was able to help us plan a simply outstanding getaway trip. The Inn itself is in a great location, a short walk from the downtown shops and activities in St. Albans, but removed enough that you aren't bothered at all by any of the noise of the town. The building is artfully maintained and decorated, and manages to convey a sense of elegance and style without being gaudy or overwhelming with decorations. We stayed in the Renaissance room, one of the front rooms, and found the space more than enough for us to spend some time in the cozy room and just enjoy the space. Karen Marie also outdid herself with the breakfasts; we loved the emphasis on natural, organic, and local fare, but not compromising on quality or presentation. We were fortunate enough to attend over a weekend that the Inn was hosting a dinner and music evening, and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to dine on more of Karen Marie's cooking, and a wonderful relaxing evening in the Carriage House space, which was outfitted with an air of rustic elegance. The space, the setting, and our hosts all came together to make a truly memorable and fantastic experience for this special time for both of us. Truly amazing and worth every penny!…
