Back Inn Time is an Historic, Award Winning Bed & Breakfast Inn in the heart of Historic Saint Albans. Creature comforts abound among modern amenities and architectural splendour unparalleled in this century. The First Class Bar and Luxury Appointments along with Amazing Cuisine make any stay exceptional. Your Breakfast consists of local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Plush robes make your lazy time extra indulgent. Dinner available by reservation. Please note many activities available are off site, but within 1 to 3 miles.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Just stopped here for one night to break up a long drive. The location was very convenient to both the highway and downtown St. Albans. We found the owner very accommodating and went out of her way to get us settled in after a long drive. The facility is charming with many gardens and places to relax. Our room was large and well decorated with period furniture and had a en-suite bath which was very clean and with plenty of hot water. The room was very quiet and had air conditioning which wasn’t needed. Breakfast was first class and all homemade with fresh fruit and juice.

Back Inn Time Bed and Breakfast is a definite must stay in St. Albans. This lovely B&B is a charming home way from home for us. Owner, KarenMarie, made us feel taken care of the moment we arrived to the time we said our goodbyes. The gourmet breakfast (local artisan fare) is hearty and delicious. The lush gardens offer many inviting outdoor spaces to unwind and relax. KarenMarie’s knowledge of the area and its offerings helped us to fully enjoy our experience. And the beds are fantastic! Back Inn Time is a jewel!!

Back Inn Time is in near town square in St. Albans. Very convenient for restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing. Accommodations were very nice. Room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to sit and relax. Cable TV in one of the living rooms. Owner is an excellent chef and served sumptuous breakfasts with lots of coffee! We went to St. Albans to go bicycling and this proved to be a great place to serve as home base for us for a few days.

It was a very delightful place: Loved the old Victorian building, stained glass windows, KarenMarie and her breakfasts and the location; just across the board "fives". I was there for the April 2024 eclipse which was quite an experience. The weather cooperated very nicely. Some high thin clouds but the view was, in my opinion, not really impaired at all. KarenMarie's place is close to a public park called Taylor Park on Main Street in downtown St Albans, only about 1/2 a mile away. The crowd roar that went up when totality hit was quite spectacular. I was not down at Taylor Park. I was in a parking lot adjacent to Back Inn Time B&B with my camera gear. Anyway, it worked out very well for me, but I want to emphasize that you won't require an eclipse to want to stay there.

All of my guests for this event were wonderful people and they all seemed to really enjoy the space and our view of totality. I am so happy that you enjoyed everything and that you know it doesn't take a special ocassion to stay here and be treted well! We have weekly events in Taylor Park and the city is bursting with opportunities for unique shopping, food, drink, arts, and more...all while close to the lake, hiking, you name it! Although we spent most of our time with family we enjoyed our stay at the Inn. It is beautiful and Karen is so welcoming and open to meeting any needs we might have. I would suggest the larger suite for more room as the shower in ours was fine for me but too small for my husband. Loved being in the Inn at Christmas time and would 100% stay here again!

I flew up from SC for my class reunion. I rode my bike often by that house when I was growing up when it was still a private residence. What a treat to finally see inside! While I wasn't there much due to the busy weekend, it was a comforting cocoon to return to.
Innkeeper KarenMarie is not a novice to the B&B world. She whips up unbelievable healthy breakfasts. She is friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. She gets you started on your path to wherever you are headed for the day. All of the staff were wonderful.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Back Inn Time is a stunning house with lots of comfortable public rooms and lovely garden. The location is two blocks from the center of downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. Karen Marie has decorated the historic home beautifully. Apparently, it is the only B&B in Saint Albans, I'd say staying at Back Inn Time is the only proper way to enjoy this charming area of Vermont.

The Back Inn Time is a beautiful B&B in St Albans, and the owner, KarenMarie, is a wonderful hostess. The Inn is cozy, clean, and very welcoming. The rooms are lovely with great attention to detail for the guests. The breakfast was homemade by KarenMarie and, as my husband told her, was a work of art rather than a meal. We enjoyed walking around the town and driving down to the bay. All in all, it was an amazing experience.

One of the finest places we have ever stayed! A beautiful Victorian home with fabulous furnishing. Very clean and KarenMarie and a friendly host. The gardens are magnificent. Breakfast was amazing! Walking distance to the cute town of St. Albans.
