We stayed at the Parker House Inn so that we could enjoy a special dinner at Simon Pearce without having to drive afterwards. It was a good choice. We had a good room overlooking the river and the bed was most comfortable. The Inn is a large old building that could use sprucing up and a good window cleaning operation....

Quechee is an excellent base for exploring Vermont. It is not far from Woodstock, the Billings Farm and the Marsh Billings Rockefeller house. There are sports facilities nearby including golf and polo and the hotel website suggests that guests can use the Quechee Country Club though we didn't do so. Quechee is a good base for walks too. Almost next...

My friend and I love this restaurant. The food is superb and the atmosphere is just as good. The outdoor seating is my favorite. Great for sunsets behind the mountains. Appetizer we had the lamb meatballs, yum. Main was the lobster and shrimp risotto , I was impressed by the amount of lobster. My friend had the duck and raved...

In general, this Inn needs some sprucing up. As far as the outside is concerned, the window frames and woodwork sure could use a coat of paint, gardens need to be weeded, porches swept, lawn mowed. The outside just looks tired and worn down. But I have a big issue with a specific room - a king room on the...

Thank you for sharing you thoughts about our Inn. I just noticed it today after spending the day in our garden with my staff sprucing up just the things you mentioned in your review. Our summers up here can end on a more wild and woolly note than other climates and admittedly we fell behind! We agree that Adam is...

We often go to the Parker House when friends are visiting us in Woodstock. It doesn't get much notice because of its more famous restaurant and glass shop next door. But the food is always wonderful, tasty, good value, and memorable. We always enjoy cocktails in the garden, and then make our way up to the terrace to see the...

I stayed at the Parker House Inn around 5 years ago and remember a charming B&B with great service and amenities. Unfortunately I think the inn is quite tired these days and perhaps never really recovered after the flood a few years ago. The innkeeper was nothing but charming, attentive, and friendly. You won't be disappointed by service. The room...

Excellent and friendly waitstaff. Food was above average but didn't WOW us. The caesar salad was great! The lettuce was crisp and the dressing was light. We ordered one slice of Coconut cake to share but it was extremely thin- not worth $8.

We stayed three nights in the Owls Nest Room....it was a bit small but very clean and comfortable. The Inn is lovely, old fashioned and welcoming. The atmosphere is casual. Breakfast is included and was very tasty. There's a porch with rocking chairs to sit and relax. The inn is close to so many sites to which you can walk...

First, it was one of those perfect late May evenings-summer warm in Vermont. Next as we sat in the porch, a beautiful hot air balloon floated by-nice setting, huh? Then there was the food. Hot French bread and flavorful dipping oil started us off. Crab cake appetizer and mussels both were delicious. The table had the salmon, shrimp lobster risotto,...
