My husband and I have been guests at this resort for years !!! Our second home . There is not one fault in the Castle ! We visit at least 4-5 times a year . The staff have become family to us . I mean that sincerely. The pool ,spa , dining , workout center , and the grounds are so stunning ! What can I say about the Castle ? Magnificent! ‘ I didn’t forget about the dining and our friend Fonz , the chef ! It’s incredible . When we arrive , the peacefulness takes over us . We love you Andy , the general manager ,and the entire staff ! See you soon !

What a fantastic establishment. The Castle is an old mansion that was built at the turn of century. The castle is amazing- each room is comfortable and decorated with furniture and artwork etc from the era when it was constructed. Imagine the wallpaper in the stairway is the original. There is a very nice pool/ hot tub area on the property that has plenty of chairs and tables for relaxing. The on site restaurant is located in two rooms on the first floor- I was told one is the original dining room and the other was the pool table room. The food is delicious and the serving sizes are big - you won’t go away hungry. To top it all off, is the staff. Each staff member that we encountered during our three night stay were exceptional - kind and polite and willing to help. GM Andy Smith has a great team I highly recommend this Inn if your travels take you to this area of Vermont.

I am the mother of the bride and I would very highly recommend this venue for the following reasons: -The castle and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, meticulous, and clean. Every room in the castle is so beautiful and the landscaping is amazing. The bridal suite is very spacious. Plenty of room to have hair and makeup done in there. -The food was incredible and plentiful; we received so many compliments such as, “best wedding food we’ve ever had!” Chef “Fonz” did an amazing job! They were very attentive to allergy issues as well. -Every single staff member was friendly, helpful, kind, and attentive. Unbelievably wonderful service from the hotel front desk, to the castle front desk, to the cleaning ladies, to the reception and breakfast servers, to the bartenders…every single staff member was lovely. -The continental breakfast was a perfect way to conclude the weekend. Plenty of food and such a lovely presentation for a nice sendoff for guests traveling home. -The castle rooms are for the wedding party or wedding guests only so it really feels like it is your own space for the weekend. -Lisa Cormier!!!! Lisa is the event coordinator who works directly with you throughout the entire process. She and her assistant Kelly, are present and on site throughout the wedding weekend. I cannot say enough good things about these two! Lisa was absolutely wonderful to work with. Very responsive, timely, knowledgeable, honest, and helpful throughout the process. When the wedding weekend arrived, I had every confidence in Lisa to carry out everything we had discussed. I’m a very detailed person who has a hard time handing over the control for a party, never mind a wedding. However, Lisa clearly understood our style and is extremely detailed herself so I felt 100% comfortable handing the control over to her. We had one, last minute potential issue with our music. Lisa informed me about it to let us know but took charge of the matter and made everything happen as we wanted. We didn’t have to worry because it was in Lisa’s hands and we knew she would take care of us. I was able to thoroughly enjoy every minute of the weekend. Kelly was also so easy to work with . She was extremely well prepared and made sure she knew everything she needed to know to carry out our wedding plan. -The day was magical… getting ready in the castle, the gorgeous areas inside and out for photos, the ceremony (although it sprinkled but that’s supposed to be good luck), the cocktail hour, the reception in the tent (beautifully set and plenty of space for lots of dancing ), the breakfast … everything was perfection in our eyes

Castle Hill exceeded all of our expectations. From the wonderful massage (thank you Chris!) to the castle restaurant 3 course meal, the overall experience completely rejuvenated our mind, body and spirits! The room was super clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the condo was equipped with a full kitchen and all utensils, cooking supplies. We hope to come back again each year

Myself and 4 friends wanted a girls weekend. We stayed in the 3 bedroom condo. It was great! The place was clean and location was good. There was plenty of room for us. The furniture was comfortable. The heated pool and hot tub was heavenly after a day of discovering what was open or closed.

Got one of the beach cottages for a night away with my wife for our 15th Anniversary. It was amazing. The cottages are incredible -- right on a private beach over looking the tip of the bay. The waves rocked us to sleep. The service was top notch -- afternoon tea was our favorite. We got massages and had dinner at the Inn, a fabulous six-course meal. It was a big spend for us and well worth it. I wanted to do something special and a little over the top to celebrate 15 years together -- Castle Hill delivered and made it unforgettable. Can't wait to come back!

I want to take this opportunity to let you know what a wonderful experience my girlfriend and I had celebrating her birthday at your resort. The resort staff was friendly and professional. When I made our online reservation, I was prompted to indicate if there was anything the resort should know about our stay. I replied that it was my girlfriend's birthday and didn't anticipate that it would make any difference. When we arrived at our room, we were delighted to see that there was a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us. We had dinner at the resort and it was excellent. We had an amazing time, enjoying after-dinner drinks in the library with a roaring fire and live piano music. Finally, my girlfriend mistakenly left the anniversary ring I gave her in December in our room . While we were on the road returning home I received a message that housekeeping had found the ring and turned it in. I had a friend pick the ring up and it's now in my possession. We are extremely grateful that housekeeping turned in the ring. Thanks again for helping make this a memorable birthday celebration. I hope to be seeing you again in the near future

Pulled in, place was stately and so pretty on the hill. We walked in and were not greeted, weren't shown around or given a map or told where anything was or what was and was not available. No bar. Their web site indicates "no service of food or liquor in the library". Yet, Lisa told us she could serve us in the library, but didn't seem to want to accommodate it. Every single time we encountered Lisa, I felt as though she was put off by us being there. What? We are paying to be here! This place is far from warm in all that, that implies. I felt as though we were unwelcome there. Everything was "no". No breakfast, no bar, no spa (too cold), no massages (they were booked, but only 1 other person staying there). Stayed 3 nights, no housekeeping. WE WERE ON OUR OWN!! I felt like I was invading someone's home! I have never stayed in a place like this. It was old. Historic and just old. Had a dvd player in the room. No flat screen, a tv from the '90's was what you are paying for when you book here. So outdated. When I was leaving with my luggage, I said to the woman sitting in the dark staring at her computer screen without music playing. lights were off (so bizarre!!), "Thank you.." her response, "You're welcome". Not "Thank you so much for staying with us". I do NOT suggest staying here. Unless you think you can handle the Adams Family-like atmosphere.

The 100+ year old hotel was in pretty good shape but not impressive. The on site dinning was available but a bit pricey. The piano playing during the dinner hours was a nice touch. The room we had was a bit tight and the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. Don't expect to be able to shower. They would not perform a refresh of the room each day as they said covid does not allow them to enter your room during your stay. We stayed at other locations in the area and they did refresh each day. My guess is they have staffing issues like so many businesses and used covid as an excuse. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

The “castle” is a historic and well maintained mansion/hotel. I was impressed with how they have maintained many of the original features. Such as the intercoms in the hallways and the wallpaper. The only down side was the size of the room we had, Room 3. Compared to the other rooms we viewed, such as 2 and 4 it was very small. As was the bathroom. Although I do recommend a stay here, I would ask about the room size Also, the staff that we interacted with were all very friendly and accommodating. The pool area is very nice, especially the hot tub.
