A lovely lodge and a lovely room. Nice to have a balcony to admire the view.
Convenient for day hiking in the area. Dinner at Johnny's was very good and we had a couple of Scotchs at the bar afterwards. Highly recommend

Once we got there, we were blown away by what we saw, how it made us feel, and the relaxing atmosphere. One word to describe our stay is quality. We stayed in the Chicken Cabin in the Fox's Den. It was perfect! There is no check-in or out. You pull up with a code to open the door. Upon leaving, close the door and that's it – fast and easy. Romantic? Yes, the main room is set up for intimate nights in front of the fireplace, sharing some wine and cuddling on the plush couch. It is also great for kids and there is plenty of room to play in the large open living room. The bed is piled with soft pillows and the blankets. Let’s just say we wanted to take them home. With plenty of space to put your belongings in the bedroom and bathroom. The shower is large has a bench for you to sit and feel the warm water flow down your back and legs after a wonderful day of skiing.
You have many choices to pick from for a spectacular day in the mountains of Vermont. So many slopes to choose from for the beginner to the pro skier. There are also numerous hiking trails and bike trails/rentals nearby. Afterward, you may want to enjoy a drink or a wonderful meal at their restaurant or the many nearby restaurants. Maybe you want to do some shopping? That is nearby as well. SeeSaws has so many things to offer. When you are there, meet with Ryan and Kim Prim to hear the outstanding story of the lodge. Super interesting!
Put this on your bucket list. You will enjoy one of the best times of your life.

Stayed here over the long weekend in October for my partners birthday and stayed in the Cherry suite. We came up to see the fall colors and enjoy a weekend out of the city and I cannot wait to come back next year. The room was lovely, easy self-check in/out and the Innkeeper was very responsive on whatsapp to any questions that arose, the fireplace was delightful and the wood hot tub was much needed. Had dinner one night at Johnny Seesaws and the food was lovely. Service could have been a bit better, but was pleased it was so close to home, and would have certainly gone back again. It was close to Manchester for a night out and enjoyed the Alpine Slides at the neighboring Bromley Mt. Would love to come back and rent the whole lodge with my friends and see more of the area in winter.
Also, huge plus was that they have EV and Tesla charging stations (although non-EV cars blocked them most nights it was still key to our pleasant stay).

We’re thrilled you found Seesaw’s Lodge to be a cozy fall retreat for your partner’s birthday weekend. We loved hearing that you delighted in the Cherry Suite‘s featured 3-sided glass fireplace, as well as taking advantage of our cedar hot tub outside. We appreciate the feedback on the restaurant service as we have some new servers training and are happy you enjoyed the food and EV chargers at our onsite restaurant, Johnny Seesaw’s. A tip for future: we usually have a manager park in one of the Tesla charging spots so we can move it whenever needed if the parking lot fills up. We hope to welcome you back in the future!

My primary reason for our stay at Seesaw’s Lodge was family history, because the inspiration for the name “Johnny Seesaw” came from my grandfather “Ivan” Carl Sesow, a Russian immigrant who was the proprietor and builder of The Wonder View Log Pavilion. My secondary reason was to check off an item on my “bucket list”: experience Kim & Sean’s reconstruction of the property. Our “Stick Season” mini vacation was divine perfection. The modernization provided everything from a beautiful central great room with access to a complete kitchen and cozy fireplace sitting area, where we enjoyed hot cider and cookies, while conversing with other guests whose stays focused on skiing. There was also a spacious mud room entryway, a game room with pool table, and washer/dryer. We stayed in the Birch Room (my favorite tree) with French doors opening onto a covered deck. The gas fireplace kept us warm and cozy as we slept on gel-cooled mattresses with cotton blankets/down comforters. The bathroom had things like a dual flush toilet and 6-foot tub/shower with both shower head and wand ( which I have at my home). Hot water was instantly on, water quality was superior to where I live, and the lavender bath products were high quality. Plenty of towels!! Custom closet with built in drawers even provided a stepping stool for shrimps like me as well as cozy robes. Next visit I’ll grab a toothbrush, pack lightly, and head to the Green Mountain National Forest. I have always loved my Vermont birthplace and now I love Sesaw’s Lodge. P.S. Do not forget to dine on site!

We enjoyed staying at SeeSaws’s lodge in the Fox Den while skiing at Stratton and Bromley.
It is conveniently located to the ski areas. The cabin was well outfitted and clean. The bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave.
Best of all we were able to bring our dogs and enjoyed walking them on the property.

SeeSaws has the rustic charm along with ultra modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the Walnut Room in the lodge and were very satisfied. The view was amazing. The inn keeper and entire staff were so accommodating and approachable. They all really cared about our comfort and safety during the Covid pandemic.

Johnny's SeeSaws Restaurant was delicious. I had the prime rib end cut and my wife had the Bolognese. Both dishes were perfect. The wait staff was prompt and attentive while being safe. Indoor and outdoor dining was available.

Everyone enjoyed the outdoor fires in the fireplace, firepit and cauldron. People of all ages had a great time while socially distancing and staying safe.

We highly recommend it. We are going back.

Driving up to SeeSaws lodge, we felt a sense of calm and excitement! The surrounding mountains are gorgeous and the perfect setting for this rustic lodge. As soon as we saw it, we knew we made the right choice! This lodge dates back to 1835 and the way they have kept it up, will just blow you away. Ryan and Kim Prins took it over in 2015 and what they have done with it is impressive. We stayed in the Chicken – Fox’s Den and what a Den it is! There was plenty of room in the living room - we could have had a party in there. The bathroom was like a large room of its own. You had space to stretch out and get the kinks out in the roomy shower from a fun day of skiing, hiking, biking, or playing. The separate bedroom is large as well and we wanted to take the bed and pillows home, they were so comfortable! Kim was so kind and gave us a tour of the grounds and other rooms. There is one word to describe SeeSaws and that is quality!!!

SeeSaws is close to everything. You have places to ski, bike, eat, mountains to climb, and we even saw deer while we were there! One of the best things for us is that it felt like our home away from home. You can feel the comfort. The Prins are so kind and want to make your stay the very best it can be! While you are there, talk with the Prins about the history of SeeSaws. It has a great history. I can’t wait to go and visit again; it will be a coming home party for us!!!

A hidden gem. We will be back for sure. Kim made our stay as comfortable as possible. If we needed anything, she was very responsive. One night, we needed a little extra light when doing some puzzling and she very kindly brought us a lamp! They really go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. We can't wait to go back!

We are a senior couple that looked forward to relaxing and meeting others for 4 days at Seesaw. We were surprised when we learned there is no one to greet us and no staff at the INN. We were just lucky the head housekeeper let us in and showed us around. She was terrific while she was there, but she had to go to the cabins. For the 3 nights we were totally alone for two. One night 2 men stayed. They had multiple bottles of liquor. One passed out on a stool and the 2nd on the stairs. My husband has medical issues. There was no information as to what to do in an emergency. The TV is limited to only Netflix. The kitchen had just about everything you would need, and the Great Room was beautiful but when you are all alone it isn't fun. We split a steak dinner, 2 soups and no alcohol. The cost was $120.00. It was my husband's birthday which was shared but no treat after dinner. The handyman was terrific. He helped me try to skate for the 1st time in 50 yrs. It was expensive for not having any activity. We do not recommend unless you just want a room for 1 night between Stratton and Bromley.

We were sorry to hear of your disappointment despite our head housekeeper and groundskeeper going above and beyond, and the well-appointed facilities, including a full chef’s kitchen, great room with fireplace and ice-skating. It sounds like you missed our confirmation, upcoming stay and check in emails that detail self-service check in so that caught you off guard. Thank you for pointing this out for future guests. The handyman to which you referred, is our groundskeeper that lives on site and his contact information is provided outside each building. We do encourage guests to communicate any concerns, including if there are any issues with other guests. We have emergency phone numbers listed in multiple places, such as in the Lodge kitchen, in each room’s information binder, on all email correspondence and listed outside each building. Medical emergency information is also available in the Lodge kitchen and each unit’s binder, as we want our guests to have as much information as possible at their fingertips. In addition, we check in by text with each guest who provides a valid mobile number during their stay to do our best to ensure a great experience and guests can text us through the day and evening. As to our restaurant Johnny Seesaw’s, we aim to be transparent and so our menu including prices is listed online on our website, outside the restaurant and in the menu when you sit downtown to avoid any surprises. We do strongly believe in supporting local Vermont farms and having fresh food. Thank you again for your feedback.

Extremely comfortable lodge with lots of amenities. Our room had a thermostatically controlled fireplace that the kids loved, and a really spacious communal great room and chef's kitchen (in the main lodge) that was a really great gathering place to play games, eat, and socialize.

The hosts were extremely friendly and seemed like they wanted our stay to be the best it could be.

There's also a number of EV chargers on site (one at the multi-room lodge, a number associated with the restaurant) that made our visit extra convenient.

Would definitely book here again!

Hi, and sorry for the late response, The rooms in the lodge do not have mini fridge in the rooms but there is a full side fridge in the common area that you could use. The cabins have kitchenettes

Hi, the cabins all have kitchenettes equipped with a small fridge, microwave, sink, etc. The Lodge rooms and suites have coffee makers inside their rooms with a full Chef’s kitchen available for their use in the shared Lodge common area, which includes full size fridge and 2 freezer drawers, as well as a separate wine and beverage fridge.
Answer from Kim P
Hi, yes, all of the private kitchenettes have these items and more, as does the shared Lodge kitchen. Each Lodge room/suite also has a kpod coffeemaker in the room.
