The Norwich Inn’s proximity to the area’s top attractions makes our Vermont inn your ideal “home base,” regardless of the season. We’re less than a mile from the world-famous King Arthur Flour, approximately one mile from Dartmouth College and four miles from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Our historic Vermont inn is only a minute from the New Hampshire border, the Connecticut River, and Interstate 91 – you’ll always be in the midst of what’s happening in the Upper Valley. Steeped in history, the Norwich Inn captures the essence of the region. Dartmouth graduate, Colonel Jasper Murdock originally built the Inn in 1797. After a devastating fire, the inn was rebuilt in 1890. The inn still exudes its original Victorian charm to go along with new lodging buildings, the Walker House and Ivy Lodge. Enjoy a culinary journey inside our cozy, historic dining room or the bustling Pub. We provide our guests with free Wi-Fi, parking, exercise room & phone calls to U.S. and Canada.

We travel each spring to Vermont/New Hampshire on business. We always choose the Norwich Inn for it's charm, lovely amenities and historic quality. The bar is a favorite too. We love the fresh, on-site beer. Delicious. The food is fantastic too.

Our stay at the Norwich Inn was perfect. The rooms (in the newer section) were clean, pretty, the beds were very comfortable. There is an elevator in the newer building. WiFi works well. The restaurant has a lovely menu, something for everyone and the service was great. The staff at the Inn are more than accommodating. We look forward to staying there again. There's the best really old Hardware right next door that you shouldn't miss. It's a walk through the past and it's huge. Make sure you get to the back rooms. King Arthur Flour is about 2 miles away - not to be missed. Drive over the bridge to New Hampshire and the town of Hanover offers some fun shopping, the Dirt Cowboy for great coffee and munchies, and many great restaurants. Quechee isn't too far from Hanover and a pretty ride. Parking is free on the weekend. Take a tour of Dartmouth College while you're in Hanover. There's no end to the fun things to do.

Very inviting, clean and cozy during a winter stay. The breakfast was excellent. We walked the town square as well. Norwich is a classic New England town and the Inn is a gem. I hope to get back in the summer to enjoy the patio behind the pub.

A wonderful Inn that is pet friendly. Food is outstanding. Many different options with a complete brewery and an outstanding wine list. Walking distance for any town event, and just a mile from King Arthur Flour for shopping, and classes.
