This was my second visit to Shore Acres this year. I spent a weekend this spring with a friend and knew I wanted to come back to this amazing gem on Lake Champlain. We brought my mother here to celebrate her 75th Birthday, and she loved every moment of this trip. We arrived Friday afternoon and went straight to the new Bravo Zulu beach bar for lunch. Delicious food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. I had met the manager, Jason Hanny during my first trip in the spring. He came over to our table asking if we needed anything. He is genuine and truly makes each guest feel special. Our room was very spacious with nice linens, large bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, and separate bar sink. There were two very comfortable chairs in the room along with a small table and chairs outside our door on the patio. We truly enjoyed sitting in Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges gazing out at Lake Champlain. Jason brought us our blankets when it got chilly and even had a glass of champagne delivered to my mom. She was smiling ear to ear. Both our dinners at the Shore acres restaurant were amazing. I had made dinner reservations at the same time I had reserved the room, as I know the restaurant is very popular. We were always seated within a few minutes. Waitresses were knowledgeable and friendly. They have an extensive wine menu, a great variety of dishes on the menu, and the best key lime tart I have ever had. The Continental breakfast is much more extensive that would imagine. Homemade donuts, pastries, bagels, yogurt and granola, deviled eggs with smoke salmon, pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese and more. Jason’s father Jack Hanny is there making sure the breakfast never runs out of anything. Jack always makes you feel at home and has a great sense of humor! Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the beauty of Lake Champlain and this resort experience.

There are no down sides to this inn! From the minute we walked in to the office to the minute we left, friendliness ,service, cleanliness all impeccable. We rode our bikes from Burlington and were warmly welcomed. The room was simple clean and perfect. The lake view unbelievable. Highly recommend getting up early and seeing the sunrise come up over Lake Champlain. The new bar and restaurant had great food and service. Gary ,the breakfast chef makes delicious food, great coffee, homemade pastries and quiches. Highly recommend Shore Acres, you will not be disappointed.

We have a house in North Hero and rarely go out for dinner, but we had visitors and were determined to get them out for a nice evening. We have visited Shore Acres and admired the beautiful dining room and grounds, and made a reservation for 6 over Labor Day. Even with the gloomy day, the view was lovely and the interior decor of the restaurant, with its blues and coastal ambiance, is very welcoming. The menu options were varied and plenty, and our server Amanda was very animated and accommodating. No complaints on any of the entrees or appetizers, and the dessert options were a hit. Highly recommend.

4 of us had dinner in the diningroom tonight, for the first time. The food was excellent and there was a very varied menus, lots of specials, something for everyone. We all loved our meals, the ambience, the decor, excellent service. The only downside was I'd asked for a window table, and instead of seating 4 of us at a window table, most of the window tables had only 2 people at tables for 4. I made the reservation several days in advance, so not sure why we didn't get a window seat. Despite that, everything was fantastic.

This is Only for the new BRAVO ZULO outdoor restaurant. I commend them for taking advantage of the beautiful view. However, The food is abysmal. I have never used this word in a few hundred reviews. The fires and ‘crispy’ fries in particular were inedible. Soaked and dried and reheated in their own oil. I’m not even sure they were safe. They spent money on the view now finish the job and learn about food.

We came here to celebrate my husband‘s birthday with two other couples – total of six. I also had my service dog accompanying me. We had a perfect table off in the corner of and had a lovely celebration. The food was good to perfection-Bolognese, Shore Acres chicken, flank steak were some of the selections. You can never get tired of the beautiful views this restaurant offers. Yes we had cheese cake and brûlée desserts. After dinner drinks…too! We try to enjoy those after dinner drinks out at the farm tables but the wind was too strong and cool to sit there and be comfortable. Don’t miss this Champlain Island gem!

Great place! Clean, great breakfast, lots of fun lawn games and very nice accommodating owners! We called after hours because the airbnb we had reserved was a disappointment, and they put the key under the mat so we could get in. So happy to have found such a nice place! Right on the water with great view!

Truly, one of God's places of paradise down here on earth! We held a ladies retreat at Shore Acres and didn't know what to expect. The minute we walked through the door, such warm hospitality; the scenic views were just picturesque; the positioning of the rooms right onto the lake; sitting beside a fire pit in the evening, while a cool breeze kissed our skin; the emaculate up keep of the rooms and grounds, and THE FOOD was the cherry on top of the Ice-cream Sunday, simply delicious! I could go on and on about this great paradise that is nestled along Lake Champlain. This place offers far more than money can ever buy- it restores the soul! What an exceptional experience! Thanks to everyone at Shore Acres, your hospitality is second to none - we had a blast! Sincerely, Iris Polk-Kuku
