We brought our mom to this darling Swedish Bed and Breakfast for an extended girls’ weekend. New owner, Albert Sacks was a true delight. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and true to the Vermont culture. We stayed in the Are Room. Very spacious, clean, adequately supplied, and hosted Swedish furniture. Albert was so knowledgeable about things to do in the area. We had to leave our last day before breakfast was served. Albert made sure we had some breakfast “goodies’ to eat on the way to the airport. He went above and beyond what we expected. Newport is a quaint little town within driving distance to Canada for a day excursion. Great trip and great memories!!
My wife, toddler, and I came here for a night on our way to Canada in June, and it was wonderful: the room (Lulea) was clean and comfortable, the air conditioning was a life-saver, and Albert was kind and attentive. Highly recommended!
Little Gnesta offers immaculate and uncluttered accommodations in Newport. The owner, Ruth, is very much available; check-in was a breeze, even if my husband and I arrived a couple of hours early. She knows how to make her guests feel at home. I walked up Prospect Street, where Little Gnesta is located, and was rewarded by a spectacular view of the city as well as of Lake Memphremagog from the steps of St. Mary's church. Breathtaking!
Little Gnesta is a beautiful and elegantly simple home that is very welcoming and comfortable. It's a short walk to downtown and the lake. Ruth, the hostess, is a kind and interesting host. A great way to visit Newport!
We spent four nights at Little Gnesta, such a warm and inviting place to stay. It was like staying with a friend. Ruth is so pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. We were skeptical when we saw the bed, but it was absolutely the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in away from home. If we are ever back in Newport, I know where we’ll be staying!
