I booked this hotel in Montpelier long ago, since I invited myself (wife and mother in law included + youngest son) to drive 12 hours from Washington DC to meet my in-laws in VT for a real US Thanksgiving dinner - no Latin influence, like roast pork... I chose this place since it is the only one decent enough in...

Dear KarlK, Thank you for staying at the Capitol Plaza with your family. We enjoyed having you over Thanksgiving and we appreciate your detailed positive review. I'm glad you enjoyed the large TV. We all like large TV's. I'm not sure why you were in a room with 2 double beds. When you make your reservation on line, you can...

This perfectly located hotel In the heart of Montpelier, across from the trifecta of the Vermont State House (the third most visited place in Vermont, after the stellar Shelburne Museum and the delicious Ben and Jerry's Factory), the Vermont Supreme Court, and the Vermont Governor's offices, has many homey touches and hoped for amenities. Tucked inside your room key folder...

The hotel is an older building, but has its own quaint charm. Staff is very nice, friendly and courteous. The hotel is also close to my son's college. I've been very happy with my stays and will do so again. Note to college parents, the hotel books up quickly during college events so plan ahead!

Dear John M C, Thank you for staying with us while visiting your son. I've shared your review with our staff. They love to hear the compliments. You provided a great tip to the college parents. Our hotel does fill up very quickly for all the college weekends, especially parents weekend, homecoming and graduation. As a small hotel, we love...

I thought the price for the room was overpriced. they had a problem with the exhaust fan above the kitchen, which our room was above this. it was so loud that I didn't get much sleep. it had a lot of historic charm so we did expect some uneven floors etc. but not being able to sleep and the price...

Dear Janab130, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your concern. I'm sorry to hear that the kitchen fan kept you awake. Normally, the fan is off by 10 pm. This was Columbus Weekend, one of the busiest during foliage season in all of Vermont, so I'm guessing that the restaurant was busy until 11 pm. We would've...

This hotel is very centrally located in Montpellier, close to anything you might need to access. Rooms are of adequate size and reasonable appointed, but there were housekeeping lapses (hair in bathroom, dust on nightstand) that are off putting. More off putting was surly front desk clerk upon arrival; I get New England taciturn, but this was unnecessary. Not sure...

Dear Winwolf56, Thank you for your review. Please private message me more details on when you were here and the guest room that you were in so that I may better direct the housekeeping staff. They work very hard to ensure that everything is clean and perfect for our guests, and our housekeeping supervisor checks the rooms daily. When they...

Stayed for one night in a room with a king size bed. Hotel was nice but not as nice as the prices implied. Had to unplug the AC/heating since it was so noisy and the fan in the bathroom was also way to noisy. The bed was to short for my husband but nice for me. Since I'm used to...

Dear Karolina H, Thank you for staying with us on your visit to America. We just returned from Europe and was surprised to see such differences in bathrooms and bedrooms. I like that we are all different. There are still a lot of our guests that enjoy having a bathtub. We are also adding solo showers to other rooms so...

On the way to Santa's Village, I stopped by at this hotel for lunch, and lunch is served buffet style. The hotel is within walking distance to many shops, other restaurants, and the state capitol. The buffet had a selection of dishes to choose.

Thank you Ilanfreedman for your nice review of our J.Morgans Steakhouse. We serve Brunch every Saturday and Sunday and I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal. Santa's Village is a wonderful place, especially this time of year. Our favorites are the warm Gingerbread Man Cookies. We hope to see you again when you're driving through Montpelier.

For five nights I stayed at Capitol Plaza. I loved the staff because they would go that extra mile to make sure what you needed for your stay was met. My room was so comfy and had great view. Steakhouse 😋 👍
