Our motel room was certainly nothing like the website photos. The room was falling apart and gross. Dead bugs, dirty chairs, little light. We thought our light did not work but the staff showed us that we had to un-plug the microwave or fridge to plug in the light! Avoid this place - I know I will!

We didn't plan ahead and had no idea that Burlington, VT was going to be inundated with college kids and their parents staying over. We headed south and found the Blue Spruce, and they had one room left. The price was reasonable, the room is very outdated but was mostly clean. I certainly wouldn't suggest staying there but it worked... More

Was slightly caught off guard by the other reviews for the blue spruce. Upon arrival it was a small, quaint and exactly what you'd expect being in a small town. The double bed room was clean, had a microwave and a fridge. Worth the stay for a small weekend.

I was hesitant as I wasn't sure how a road side motel would be, but the price was good and the courtyard was full. Pretty surprising they had flat screen tvs in the room (I did not expect that!). The rooms were clean and it was pretty quiet. Definitely not a four seasons experience, but not bad for the price.... More

NEVER NEVER GO THERE! We booked two rooms a couple of months ago, and were told $65/night. So we did not expect the Ritz. However, when we called to confirm just prior to driving out from MA, we were told $80/night. Upon arriving we were charged $90 for the night! Again, after biking 36 miles, we let it go. Opening... My room was clean, however the bed and the pillows was not so comfortable. For the money spent, the room was a good deal. Everything worked and there was plenty of room. I just think the pillows and the towels could have been of better quality.

Its cheap, but could be cleaner. There is disrepair and stains Greystone and sugar house looked cleaner outside and are closer to the fair. That's why we went. If you need a place to crash for one night it will do.

Chairs were stained beyond belief. I would not sit on them. Drawers to put your clothes in were broken. Bathroom was shabby, but otherwise clean. Bed was not comfortable, and thermostat did not function properly. Room appeared to be freshly vacuumed, but smelled like a burned out vacuum. Breakfast was Coffee and Sunny D. Gazebo had a dog turd on... More

Bedding was dirty and towels were missing. I was reluctantly given new sheets and towels when I requested them. Some of the replacement bedding was dirtier than what was already on the bed. The place is just plain dirty and gross.

Traveling to look at the college with my daughter, I needed a place to spend the night while my daughter stayed on campus. It was a quick trip so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. It was disappointing to realize $70 was going to be the least I could spend and that it would be for a... More
