The Courtyard is South of downtown and look hard because Vermont signage is eco friendly but hard to see for folks from other states. Spacious, clean rooms, a bar with a cafe and all the amenities you expect from Marriott. A perfect place to lodge if you are antiquing, college looking at Middlebury College or the UVM Morgan Farm. A... More

Friendly staff, typical decor and comfort that you come to expect at a Courtyard by Marriott. Refrigerator in room. Nice options for breakfast. 2nd stay here. Would not hesitate to stay again. Good location, close to Middlebury College and town.

This was a very nice hotel near everything. It was across the street from a shopping area with TJ Max and Hanford and next to Rite Aid. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large and also very clean. Beds were comfortable and although we had two queen bed, we were able to have a twin size cot... More

Great job Marriott for this Courtyard! Love the exterior Vermont-style and the modern conveniences. Close to Middlebury College. I stayed in the one bedroom King suite, very clean, modern bathrooms and there was more than enough room for 3-4 people. The bed was very comfortable. Apologies for not remembering names, but all the ladies at the front desk are very... More

Our recent stay was quite comfortable as the housekeepers made us feel as if we were at home. Housekeeping staff was great, very hardworking and very attentive. The facilities were great and kept clean (i.e. pool, fitness center). The restaurant (The Bistro) was moderately priced and frequently unpatroned (empty) in result. Tammy, front desk receptionist was great and so very... More

Nice looking hotel, not the usual rectangular block construction. Opened in 2003 and renovated in 2011, it needs another renovation. Some carpets are looking tired with stains, there are cracks in the bathroom tile, etc. On the other hand, the older fixtures allow better control of water temperature and shower pressure. The room had a mini fridge but no microwave... More

I am sorry you found your room too cold, housekeepers are supposed to leave the thermostat set at 68 degrees in the summer months, I apologize for that not being the case in your room. I don't know which room you were in so I can't follow up with the housekeeper in that section however I will speak to the... More

We decided to visit Fort Ticonderoga, but there was not a lot of hotel availability near the fort, so we decided to stay in Middlebury for the night. I thought the outside was very inviting and nothing like the typical brick facade of most Marriot hotels. Our room was spacious and clean and there was a starbucks off the lobby... More

Arrived late in the night after a long drive from Rhode Island and there was a collective sigh of relief to find a spacious and clean room, comfortable beds and bath, and a properly functioning climate control system. Front desk staff were warm and friendly despite the time and checked us in with no fuss. As with the other Courtyards,... More

Large, clean, comfortable room. Great location for checking out Middlebury. Friendly staff. We asked the front desk if they preferred to eat at Fire & Ice or the Storm Cafe. They recommended Two Brothers Tavern instead. It was an excellent choice. The breakfast at this Courttyard is better than most. Starbucks coffees and well prepared breakfast dishes.

Spent one night. On check in the hotel lobby and corridors smelled of mildew. They were having carpets cleaned, but they still should not smell like mildew. Room was nice and comfortable. Parking is free and there were no issues finding a spot. Breakfast is not included. They do have a breakfast area but there is a charge for everything... More

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay here at the Courtyard by Marriott in Middlebury, Vt. I apologize if you found the lobby and corridors smelled like mildew. As you said we were having the carpets cleaned after a long winter, again I apologize. Marriott does not permit us to provide a free breakfast. Again I thank you... More
