Spent 5 lovely nights with them. The room was great and the bed comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. The owner was very gracious and personable. The grounds were beautiful and the town itself was quaint and fun to explore.

We spent three nights at Swift House in late October. Our room was spacious and well outfitted. It was a bit cold outside during our stay, but I am happy to report that the windows were well insulated and the heat worked well. The furnishings were of high quality, and the room lacked the doilies and endless flower prints that... More

This is a Lovely inn with beautiful rooms in the carriage house with wood burning fireplaces. There are pretty grounds to relax by. Jessica's had excellent dining and service. You are close to the charming town of Middlebury Vt with the college and quaint town featuring galleries, gift shops and dining.

Stayed 2 nights in later October at the end of the fall foliage. We stayed in the Gladstone Room in the Carriage House which was very comfortable with a king bed, fireplace and couch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the Swift House to anyone considering a stay in Middlebury.

Swift House was once the home of the Stewart and the the Sift family. There remains an eighteenth century feel to the building with family portraits lining the wals and cozy, family styled rooms. The staff could not be more obliging. Michelle, the owner, is present at their excellent in-house breakfast and ciculates chatting with each of her guests. Highly... More

Spent 2 nights during a splendid VBT tour. The room was great. Attractively appointed, good sized and updated with the expected shower, hair dryer etc. There are inviting common areas and exceptional offerings for breakfast and dinner. It's evident that the owners take as much pride in their property as they do in ensuring personal service. Conveniently located to invite... More

My husband and I stayed in a room located in the Gatehouse, which is short distance to the main lodge. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom that included a jetted tub/shower. There was not refrigerator or microwave in the room, but the common areas offered Keurig coffee/tea. Fresh cookies were available in the afternoon. Michelle and... More

The owners,Michele and Dan welcomed me warmly on arrival. Hostess Jacqueline took me to my room - Mansfield,a wonderfully quiet location on the lower floor of the carriage house. It was decorated beautifully with attention paid to every detail - fresh flowers, lots of reading material, huge bathroom with jetted tub, excellent lighting(I loved the carefully positioned night lights!).. Although sadly Jessica's restaurant... More

This delightful Inn was luxurious. The colors and decor were almost "old south" in their country charm, and our large room was nicely furnished. It had a large bathroom with both tub and shower, which we appreciated given we were on a walking/hiking tour! The location was ideal for walking area parks and trails, and was especially convenient for walking... More
