We stayed here for our 40th anniversary. The B&B was beautiful and the grounds magnificent. The Innkeepers, Dan and Michele were delightful and helpful. The rest of the staff was equally nice. Just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this B&B! Plus, the dinner at their restaurant, Jessica's, was exceptional. And the breakfasts were amazing.

Lovely inn, nice history. Pretty grounds for strolling, and a very short walk into town. Swift room was lovely, and had a small balcony for sitting out (though accessed from the bathroom, but whatever). Hostess was very friendly when we arrived, owner was there at breakfast the next day and greeted each table. Breakfast was wonderful... variety of cold offerings,... More

We stayed there overnight as we were casually touring New England. Dan and Michelle epitomize great innkeepers! What a wonderful place. Loved the downstairs rooms available to guests to just sit and read or chat . Our room was fabulous( in the main building) and had a wonderful patio. We lived the bar and enjoyed chatting with other guests and... More

This is a wonderful place to stay, plain and simple. During our visit to the Swift Inn, My wife and I took residence in two of the less expensive rooms in a building called the Gatehouse, about one-half block from the main lodge. The first was the John Deere room and the second was the Turret. Both were refined, clean... More

This was our 3d or 4th time staying here, I can't remember exactly, but it remains 5 stars and every nice thing said below is true. This year our little guy (Golden Retriever) had to accompany us. Pets are welcomed in the carriage house so we stayed there for the first time. He was greeted with a couple of disposable... More

We first stayed at Swift House Inn in August 2015 when we attended the inaugural Middlebury New Film Makers Festival. We had a great time - wonderful room, great amenities, wonderful breakfast and dinner locale, friendly staff - and we couldn't wait for our return this summer for the festival's second season. And the Inn didn't disappoint. We booked late... More

Our one night stay at the swift house was excellent. This is a charming Bed and breakfast. The inn still boasts many quaint things you would expect from a bed and breakfast. Love the old lift that is still in place although not being used. The rooms are large our room was the governors which had a king size bed... More

Meeting our very dear friends at this wonderful place. All aspects of this Inn are impeccable and geared to give the best service. The breakfast was well prepared and any additional wishes were promptly granted. The establishment was clean and inviting. Michelle, the Innkeeper made sure all the details were to her standards and satisfaction. We had fresh flowers in... More

Our perfectly modern room was super comfortable with every amenity we could ever need. Dining at their Jessica's restaurant was sublime. Such delicious fine dining at reasonable prices! Prior to dining, we enjoyed a drink in the quaint bar--it was just so cool. The perfect weather allowed us to savor breakfast in their outdoor dining area. And then we walked... More

No complaints in the least- everything was great! From the very helpful and kind front desk person, to the dining room staff, and the owner stopping by to chat, it was a great experience, we would recommend to anyone to take advantage of the comfortable rooms and the beautiful setting.
