The inn was very charming on the outside. The inside public areas were beautiful. A large fireplace and several seating areas. Lots of antiques. The restaurant had these beautiful columns separating the seating areas. Some of the chairs were black-painted Windsor with gold arms. Really pretty. The restaurant had a fireplace. I had my Saturday night dinner next to it. The staff obligingly lit it for me. The food was good. My room was charming. Large. Rich blue and gold damask sofa. Burl inlaid coffee table. Reading chair and table. Comfortable bed with beautiful headboard. And charming old-fashioned bathroom. Beautiful. Charming. A bit upscale. Not too much and not too little. Just right for me.The best of inns and the nicest place I stayed in my tour of Vermont.

My father, who lives in town was experiencing his final days of Hospice, and due to COVID his home, where we always stay was unavailable. The staff went above and beyond, especially Chantel, to make this difficult time as smooth, comfortable, and easy as possible. The quarters were beautiful, comfortable, and easy to access from town. Aside from staying with family, The Middlebury Inn cannot be beat. Thank you.

We stayed in the pet-friendly "annex", which was simpler than the main building, but perfectly lovely. Impressed with the solar panels on the roof. excellent location for exploring Middlebury. They didn't just allow our pet, they gave us dog biscuits at check-in. The breakfast choices, included in the price, were outstanding.

Perfect again... Great weekend as fall foliage was upon us. We had been here twice before during covid and ha great experiences, so why not again? This place is perfect, friendly, clean and so well run. This was our 40th wedding anniversary and dinner at Morgans Restaurant was perfect!
