Loved staying here. Charming, quintessential Vermont Inn with fire pit, on-site breakfast, and nearby hiking/mountain activities in a rustic setting with luxury touches. The owners are both kind and helpful. Great food nearby in Rutland at Table 24, Brix Bistro and Roots. Breakfast on site was great, home fries and french toast were slightly overdone but tasty. We were in the Dorset room which had a jet tub, so even though the outdoor hot tub was closed for Covid, we could still use the one in the room which was great. Other rooms have fire places but the fire pit was great on its own.

What an absolute gem! We’ve stayed in lots of hotels/inns around the world, but The Vermont Inn has easily leaped into one of our favorites. After a cancelled Disney trip due to COVID-19, and the loss of a very close family member in June, we decided to book The Vermont Inn just for a chance to disconnect and get away from all that had been thrown our way this year. We are so glad we did, as it was exactly what our family needed right now. From the moment you pull in, you’re greeted by the beautiful mountain-view that The Vermont Inn overlooks. The building is an old converted farmhouse. It is well maintained, and is carrying on some of the beautiful, unique characteristics of a building its age. The lobby feels homey, and there are plenty of communal/social areas including a

Vermont Inn knows how to make you feel welcomed and cozy the moment you walk in. Amy & Dave are wonderful owners who ask you about your day and give you a little treat if you travel with your doggie. They took such good care of us that we didn't want to leave. We stayed at the "White Birch" room that was beautifully decorated and has a huge bathtub in it. Like Amy says, you come as a guest, leaving as a family and yes it is true! We can't wait to visit them again in the future.

Such a wonderful time staying at the inn with the wonderful owners. Everything about this place was warm, friendly and way above expectations. Our room the "White Birch" was very chic and nicely setup. The fireplace and hot tub are wonderful!

The Inn is a great location! Very close to Pico and 15 min to Killington. The Inn itself is great and has everything you could possibly need including a hottub and sauna. Baked cookies after 3 and delicious soup around dinnertime and the full breakfast was also delicious. There is a cute bar with a sitting room with some snacks and several other shared sitting rooms. Definitely try the local beer. Our room had a frig but there is also a small room with a refrigerator and microwave for everyone to use. The owners are absolutely wonderful people and very accommodating. And lets not forget DOGS are permitted in certain rooms!!

I was in VT to visit my son (who lives in Burlington) and daughter who is in school in RI so had to bring their dogs! Dogs allowed and lots of room for them to run and places for them to be in the Inn other then the room. The gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub were great for the humans. Great room upstairs with Keurig machine with so many coffee and hot chocolate choices, fridge to put your food, spring water, etc. Amy and Dave the Innkeepers were so helpful for advice!

This is a perfect spot for comfort and hospitality. Innkeepers and owner were so kind and welcoming. We loved our room, which had a separate little room with twin bed for our teenage son. The mattresses were awesome. It was quiet even though filled with other families with young children. The breakfast room had a roaring fire and the food was excellent. In addition to the hot food selections made to order, there is a buffet for fruit, cereal, baked goods, yogurt and granola. They have a free hot soup station all afternoon and into the evening hours - perfect after skiing! There are multiple cozy spaces to relax outside of one’s room. The outdoor hot tub was SO great. They even have a little room with exercise equipment. Not typical in a B&B! We would definitely

Where do I even begin? Our entire experience from beginning to end was an absolute blessing. The second you pull up to The Vermont Inn, you feel at home. Amy & Dave are truly two of the kindest people we have ever come across, and their generosity and graciousness continued to shine throughout the entire trip. Their slogan is "Come in guests, leave as family." Boy was this true! They go above and beyond their roles as Inn Keepers to ensure that your experience is top notch. We spent as much time as we could chatting with Dave & Amy and just genuinely enjoying good conversation and our time together. They even made dinner for themselves one night and asked us to join them. Not to mention that they make homemade soup and fresh baked cookies daily, and offered two kinds of soup

There could not possibly be enough positive things to say about both The Vermont Inn and its Keepers, Amy and Dave. Besides being extremely gracious, accommodating and friendly hosts, I can quite literally say that they were our guardian angels during times of trouble. During a 3 night stay for some skiing at Killington I managed to blow the engine on my 2014 Chevy Equinox (which had zero issues before that point). The engine's dying process took place across 2 locations - first at the mountain when the car wouldn't stay running at the end of the day. As a last resort, we called Dave and Amy for a rescue and 20 minutes later, without hesitation, Dave had bought us motor oil and arrived where we broke down. The oil got the car running and Dave followed us back to the Inn to
