The Vermont Inn is a cozy 15 room Country Inn located in the Green Mountains of Vermont in Killington. We offer fireplace and whirlpool tub deluxe suites, family suites, queen, and double rooms. Pub on site offering wines and local brews. Additional amenities include a fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, seasonal outdoor hot-tub, sauna, game room, and many other amenities.
We came to Vermont to fulfill a "bucket list" wish to see New England in the fall. Vermont didn't disappoint and neither did the Vermont Inn. The staff was very communicative by text even before we got to the property. As I was packing and asking "should I bring..."I would text the Innkeeper and got a quick response. The property has character and charm, it exudes hospitality and a laid back vibe. It is not a slick corporate hotel (you can find those up the road in Killington) but rather a home that has been expanded and updated over the years. We stayed in the White Birch room- it was lovely. I read two books while I was there - both from the well used library, and loved the in room fireplace both for ambiance and warmth. Highly recommend for an off-the-beaten-path…

We have stayed at many inns, this was awful. Lots of deferred maintenance, nothing was as advertised, only plus is this was close to the mountain, really wish we had stayed somewhere else. If all you care about is skiing and sleeping I guess it would be ok.

My friend and I were in town for the annual Spartan race. The room was perfect for us. They made grab and go breakfasts for the Spartans in town, and when they found out we were racing again Sunday, they went out of their way to reach out and ask us if we would like grab and go breakfast that day as well. Everyone we met was so friendly and accommodating! We will definitely stay here again!

My friend and I decided to take a last minute trip to Vermont and found this place online. We went with the bunk room. Tiny room and no ladder to the top bunk so a bit tricky getting on and off the top bunk. Super tiny but with the other public spaces there was no issue. The place has long narrow hallway, sitting room, tiny library (The Brothers Karmazov was on the self if you like some light reading), bar, restaurant area and a 24 hour little kitchenette. I sat outside on the patio every morning for breakfast. The inn is kept very clean but if you want fancy hotel level inn, this isn't the place. This is perfect for a very Vermont stay. There is a chipmunk (or maybe multiple 🐿 🐿 🐿) in the place and they were so freaking cute. One was caught in a Have a Heart trap and…

My wife and child were in Vermont for a family wedding. I rented 2 rooms for 4 nights. We arrived to not a soul to check us in. We found the rooms comfortable, but with issues. The bathroom door would not stay closed, we had several days with no hot water, both bathroom sinks were slow to drain, and one shower door had lost its track. My son's room-door was difficult to lock. We did, however, find our room to be quiet, the bed to be comfy, and lots of fresh air. We slept well. The breakfasts were good, served by the owner's 12 year old son, and the swimming pool was refreshing.

Incredible food! Coming from the Metropolitan area, we always have high expectations when it comes to food. Kudos to the chefs and the server (the son) who delivered in high class fashion! Accommodations (Lilac Room) was on the smaller side, but understand this is one of their smaller rooms. Seeing their motto as “Arrive as Guests…leave as Family” is an absolute testament of their service and warm welcoming they provide when you step foot in the door. Highly recommend as your place to stay when booking your Killington Resort trip!

We had a lovely time at The Vermont Inn. The owners and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious! Convenient to Killington Ski Resort. The staff treats you like family! On one cold winter afternoon, while I waited in the cozy lounge area for the rest of my group to return from skiing, the young woman at the front desk (the owner's daughter) went out of her way to bring me a snack from the kitchen (which was closed) and a big bowl of fresh fruit, because she knew I did not have lunch. So sweet and kind of her!! They have a cute bar area where you can grab a drink on a cold wintry evening after coming back from skiing. There is a small gym perfect for a quick pre-breakfast workout. Highly recommend!

My wife and I like older, family-run inns. The Vermont Inn fits that nicely. From arrival to departure, we enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious. We expected delays in service due to the pandemic, but had none.

On the plus side was the accommodations. The White Birches Suite was truly a delight: large, well appointed, and comfortable, expeically when it got cold and one turned the firelplace. TV was fine, but you will need to bring your own phone and your own alarm clock. The exercise room has basic equipment, and there are nice lounging areas where one can relax. Sadly, while this venue brags about its breakfasts, the service was abysmal. When we arrived to be seated, there were only 3 parties (total 9 people) already seated. Despite this, it took almost an hour to get a simple order of eggs, bacon, and toast. There was no explanation and no apology for why the delay was occurring, which spoke to the hospitality of the staff. Overall, the nicety of the facility was offset by the…

Response from General Manager, Innkeeper at The Vermont Inn
Responded Dec 7, 2021
Dear Jim, Sorry for the delayed response. It appears we have dropped the ball regarding your breakfast experience. At The Vermont Inn, we take customer service and hospitality seriously, and typically our reviews reflect that, especially regarding our breakfast. So, it pains us to hear about your experience. We've addressed this with our staff and have made a minor adjustment to ensure that no one experiences a lag on their breakfast service time. We do regret your shortened stay because my wife, who you had been corresponding with, prepared a charcuterie board for you and your wife to enjoy for your anniversary. We did refund your second night, which we are not required to do per our cancelation policy. Please book again to give us an opportunity to add great service to great rooms.

The Vermont Inn is the perfect place to get away for the weekend, take a longer trip, and even mark a major life event! I recently got married in nearby Rutland, and essentially my entire extended family spent the weekend at the Vermont Inn and LOVED it. We had a welcome reception at the Inn for all of our guests the night before the wedding, and it set the perfect tone for the entire weekend. Mike and Kayla were wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding, and so helpful with everything from coordinating reservations, catering the event, and everything in between. The Inn itself is lovely, and perfectly balances rural Vermont charm with modern comfort and amenities (and great food!). For your next weekend trip, or big event, I can't recommend the Vermont Inn highly enough!
