Stayed at Barnstead for a recent wedding. Prices were very affordable and the owner personally upgraded us to a nicer room! Room was clean, charming, and the bed was very comfortable. Owner was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and beyond friendly. It was a real pleasure to stay here and I would highly recommend it!

Spent the weekend here for a wedding in the area. Staff is extremely nice and accommodating. Very affordable for September in Manchester. The inn is clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the rooms are in desperate need of a makeover. The bathroom is extremely small and very old. The curtains are from 1970 rustic. I think this place could... More

Thank you! The Inn is an 1830s restored Vermont farm property with all of the modern conveniences. The keywords are "1830s restored farm". It is meant to "look" old. As in Antiques. Of course, some of the baths are small. But,there are rooms with extremely large baths that include Jacuzzi tubs. While I do understand that these may not have... More

Loved staying at the Barnstead! The owners are wonderful people who are so warm and welcoming. The room we had was excellent and the rest of the grounds were beautiful. Would definitely recommend this inn to friends and family.

Neil and Cynthia were the most accommodating hosts we could ask for. Not only did they upgrade our room but they also (happily) let us extend our check out time the last day. Our room was fantastic; cozy, charming and clean and the rest of the buildings/facilities looked as equally well maintained. The inn was within walking distance to shops,... More

Our first visit here was in December a few years ago. They upgraded us to a suite which was lovely. This time we visited in June and were again upgraded to a suite. We were very appreciative both times and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The owners go out of their way to make you comfortable and the place is cozy... More

Beautiful property and wonderful room. As others have noted it is very clean. The mattress was one of most comfortable we have ever slept on. The location is perfect for area attractions.Neil was a wonderful host who upgraded us to a bigger room because one was available. A very nice surprise. Would definitely like to return.

The owner Neil could not be nicer. The room was exceptionally clean and avoided the typical "Victorian" feeling of some other inns in the area. We felt warm, very welcome, and content. If you keep to yourselves, there is no pressure to socialize. Easy walking distance to town center. Excellent prices!

Meticulously clean, great hosts, wonderful town and surrounding areas. Swimming pool is private, and again meticulously clean, gets sun all day:) Great tourist attractions nearby, and great outlet shopping.

We love to go to the Manchester area just before the holidays for some last minute shopping and early season skiing. We found the Barnstead Inn 2 years ago and will be making it our annual spot. The rooms are wonderful and cozy and very clean. This year Neil was so kind to give us an upgrade which made our... More
