Made a reservation months in advance and requested an early check in between 11-12. Upon arrival, the manager gave us a key to a room that was never cleaned. Went back to complain and he told us we needed to wait 30-40 minutes for it to be cleaned. (Not an easy ask after a long drive with a 5 month old on a 95 degree day). But we waited. Watched them go in to a different room and start cleaning instead of ours. My husband complained again, and the manager began to talk back to us saying “nothings guaranteed”. We would have walked out right then and there but we didn’t really have a choice as there were no other places to stay in the area. The rest of our one night stay was uneventful, thankfully. The room was nothing special. Bolts loose everywhere, cardboard sheets, and paint covering leaks and cracks. But the AC worked (loudly), and the cardboard sheets…
We stayed only one night. We made reservations on line. We chose to pay upon arrival. Checkin was quick and efficient. Encountered with staff were pleasant, a bit awkward due to dialect/pronunciations. We stayed on the hill, which gave a nice view across the valley. The room was clean and 2 queen beds were comfortable with nice linens. The room appeared to be freshly renovated, very well kept. A small kitchen including a double cook top, a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink were all in good working order. Breakfast was included in our stay. Continental breakfast was not exceptional, cereal, packaged Oatmeal needing hot-water, warmed hard boiled eggs, tater tots, fresh fruit and Belgian waffles. The cooked Belgian waffles were bit crumbly and difficult to get out of the maker. Coffee or tea. Sufficient, but nothing memorable, except that is was not great. Overall, this is a good place as an operational base. Think utility, and not posh. Functional, not extravagant. Value was high, considering other places. I would go back, just not eat breakfast here. Pluses: + location to Manchester + view + outside table and chairs for our room + clean/comfortable + value + quiet Minuses: - the fridge was a bit noisy - The pocket door separating the kitchenette did not function. This would have mitigated the fridge noise. - controls on the AC were difficult to navigate. We did figure them out and it was operational. - There was a bit of language barrier. - breakfast…
We had a reservation and at the time of the booking we specifically said that we had a pet cat. We were told that was fine. Upon our check-in we were told that they don’t take cats. The motel relented and let us stay. The manager/owner said we had booked on Expedia and they should have told us that the hotels policy was no cats. Clearly the ad for the hotel said Pets. When my husband got up to use the rest room in the middle of the night he hear a gurgling coming from the bathroom. Upon going into the bathroom to take a shower in the the morning, he observed what was fecal matter coming up from the drain in the tub. He dressed and went and got the manager. Upon his arrival the manager cleaned the tub (no gloves) turn and said we were okay. We asked about the shower curtain, was he going to change it out since it had been in the tub and wet. We said we wanted a new room, he said no since we had the cat. He was unwilling to change rooms. He did say he would reverse the charges for our other two nights that we had booked for our stay. Needless to say, our vacation was cut short. There was no I’m sorry, no attempt to make this right. He never even said he would call a plumber.…
Very nice, rooms are big and open for a motel, cooktop and refrigerator , very clean and newly renovated. Nice clean pool, fire pit and we'llaintained property. Owners are very nice and on property for any questions or help. This will definitely be my place to stay on yearly visit.
We stayed one night and had a late, contactless check-in, and were happy to find the room spotless, spacious, and with a coffee bar for the morning. Only quibble is one light was missing a light bulb. Quiet, but convenient location.
We asked to see the room before we finalized payment. I had booked online for two nights. The room was not acceptable. Air was stale and the room, although spacious, was not very inviting. The upholstered chairs are tired and need cleaning. The air was stale. The place looks winterized from the outside...kind of depressing. No handicap accessibility. When we told the desk manager these things he became very upset and charged us for the full two nights anyway. Because he said we were in the room for 20 minutes. We were in the room calling to find another place to stay. We are very unhappy with the experience. I will continue to expect more, even in hard times, of anyone providing services to travelers.
It is a good place to stay. But the room was not cleaned even once. The garbage was not removed. To get new towels you had to go to the office. Overall it was ok, but even our laid back family was a little surprised by such service. Needless to say that there was no breakfast offered. But the price was the same...
From the outside I wasn't expecting much. It's a motel, right, and it looked weathered. Once we were inside, we were blown away. Spacious, clean, a closet that had a luggage holder and a card table. Room had a desk and chair, refrigerator, an oversized chair and lamp for reading, an additional chair to play cards, great views, bathroom was spacious and the shower had shampoo and body lotion dispensers mounted. Two chairs and table outside the room. Clean towels and wash cloths were on the outside table when we got up. Had great service for three days. Two miles from downtown. No negatives. Looking forward to staying there again next year. How many places can you say that about?
