The room was spacious and very clean. The staff friendly and very helpful. Wish the wifi was better, very slow. Looking forward to seeing all the updates when completed. Over all would stay there again

As a frequent Manchester visitor...I'm happy to report that staying there last weekend was a great choice. The pool was great! The rooms are updated and clean. Walking to dinner Saturday night was a refreshing change from driving...and afforded me an extra cocktail :-) We will definitely return and take advantage of the other amenities. Only area to improve would be the king mattress....it was too firm.

My husband and I have enjoyed staying at the Palmer House many times over the past 20 years. When we returned for the first time this year we were met with a huge disappointment. The grounds were a mess, grass not mowed, bushes overgrown, weeds everywhere. The swimming pool was stained, there was dirt all over the bottom and there were no tables and umbrellas on the deck. The office as well as most of the property was under construction so a make shift office was set up in one of the guest rooms which still contained a bed and other random furniture. I asked about the complimentary breakfast which was advertised but was told there wasn't one. Not a good first impression! I was asked to fill out paper work and was given a pen. There was no hand sanitizer available to use after I finished with the pen. I had booked a suite which we had stayed in many times before and was never more disappointed when I entered the room. The furniture was shabby and stained, rugs were stained and worn out and to top it all off, the air conditioner was not working!. All of this for the discounted price of $240!!! We won't be back.

Ms. Verrochi, thank you for choosing the Palmer House Resort. While we appreciate any and all feedback from guests, we ask that it always be factual and from guests who have stayed at our resort. I understand that you felt our resort did not meet your expectations upon first arriving on property, and were immediately offered a full refund of your deposit with the cancellation of your reservation. To make false statements about the upkeep of our resort grounds, lack of care and comfort items at the pool, and quality of our newly renovated rooms is upsetting for us to see. Other prospective guests value honest feedback when considering a hotel for their next trip, and your review does not paint a true picture of what the Palmer House Resort offers to its guests. While our lobby is currently under construction with a connecting restaurant & bar being built, we have improvised a temporary check-in/out location within one of our nearby guest rooms for the convenience of our guests, and have listed online that our breakfast service is temporarily closed during this time. At the same time, the resort's outdoor activities & amenities have all been open for the summer and enjoyed by those who have had the pleasure of staying with us this month. Our grounds are manicured daily and both our indoor & outdoor pools are fully equipped with lounge chairs, tables & chairs, and umbrellas/gazebo (outside only). We appreciate the continued excitement and positive feedback that our guests have shown for the upgrades & renovations made to our guest rooms, including the furniture, fixtures, decor, and in-room amenities. We're sorry that these exciting new changes were not up to your standards for a resort at which you wished to spend the night.

Thank you for enjoyable stay. The room upgrade was not only unexpected but made my stay so relaxing. The property was under renovation but with no impact to the customers. The grounds were well manicured.

This place has gone so far down hill and it is such a shame. My family and friends have had many wonderful visits to the Palmer House over the years but clearly it’s under new management and not in a good way. Granted they are undergoing some renovations which may be an improvement but the way we were treated can not be overlooked. Do not go there.

Ms. Adams-Keane, thank you for choosing the Palmer House Resort and for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent experience. I’m very sorry to hear that you felt we did not meet your expectations compared to your previous stay in 2018, but I’m so glad that you noticed the new updates and renovations that we are actively making throughout our property. We appreciate the continued excitement that our guests have shown for the new features coming to our resort! This includes our guest rooms, resort grounds/amenities, lobby, and a brand new restaurant & bar on site. With these renovations will also come upgrades to the services that our team will be able to provide all guests, including a 24-hour Front Desk and overnight assistance with any guest requests. I know that during your stay you had some assistance requests with your TV and Wi-Fi, and while it was after normal Front Desk hours, I’m so glad to know that one of our Hospitality Professionals on site was able to immediately assist you with your requests and to your expressed satisfaction. Our goal will always be to provide our guests with personalized service, unique amenities, and make them feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. I hope we will have the opportunity to have you stay with us once again to experience these updates firsthand and to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception.
