Detailed Reviews
We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Aspen. Given that we live in Vermont and due to COVID travel restrictions, we decided to vacation in-state this summer and try to help out our struggling tourist industry. We decided on Manchester and the Aspen.
We had a great stay. Location is about a mile north of the downtown area where the Northshire Bookstore is (my favorite store ever). The motel is set back off from Route 7A/Main Street so it was very quiet-we only heard the chirping of crickets at night. Room was large. We especially liked the bathroom area as it had a separate room for the shower/toilet. Room was very clean. We had limited interaction with staff but the interaction we did have was very positive. Pool was open and was very refreshing.
We have already recommended the Aspen to a friend who is thinking of doing a similar "staycation" with her family.

I have a son in a wheelchair and so often handicap assessable rooms really aren't. The Aspen has done a wonderful job in making a truly wheelchair assessable room. The room is quite spacious and offers a number of amenities perfect for the handicap person. The light switches are all the toggle variety and the closet offers a lower bar, at the perfect height for the wheelchair bound person. Where they shine is the bathroom, offering a higher toilet and open sink. The roll in shower (which is level with the floor) and bench has a hand held shower head option that makes showering a breeze. They also have plenty of grab bars for safety. No tubs to scale! Thank you Aspen for identifying the needs of a handicapped person and actually acting on them!!!

+1
Aspen at Manchester is within walking distance downtown. It’s centrally located. Our room is clean and the bathroom looks like it had undergone some renovations. I especially liked their rainfall showerhead and their many cubicles for toiletries. The bed is comfortable enough, can’t complain. AC is cold and working properly. We checked the pool and although we didn’t use it because it was cold i could see how clean and clear the water was. Their lawn is well kept and really picturesque especially the back part. They have breakfast from 0800 to 1000, very limited with coffee, bread, occasional yogurt and fruits.
The only problem was the hair dryer in our bathroom is not working as well as the exhaust fan. I wished the rooms had microwave.

We were hoping this was a bit of a nicer place from what the pictured showed but it's a pretty old motel that's had some very cheap renovations done to it.
The blinds didn't fully cover the windows. When someone in an adjacent room walked around, it sounded like they were in your room. When an adjacent room took a shower it was 80db in our room because the pipes were so loud. There was only a sheet and thin blanket on the bed which didn't mesh well with the thermostat that made it 100 degrees or off. The shower didn't have any place to put toiletries except the ground. Tiny towels. To top it off, the Wifi barely worked so it's a no-go if you're planning on trying to get anything done remotely for work.
It seems like they tried to make a cheap motel look like a boutique hotel with $200 in supplies from Walmart and a thrift store.
Thankfully we were only there for one night because I got very little sleep.

We stayed here for one night on our way home from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania. Aspen is a quaint motel. A bit outdated but very clean and comfortable. Our rooms is very large. It has the things we look for in a place to stay, such as, a refrigerator and hair dryer. We don't require it but it also has a coffee maker. As I said the room is very large. It has 2 rocking chairs by the window so you can just relax and watch the traffic go by. I would definitely stay here again. I almost forgot to mention that it is just a few minutes away from all the shopping and food places on Main Street. Yet it is away from the hustle and bustle of a busy street. We are here in November, so it was not open, but it looks like it has a nice sized pool. The informational paper in the room says they start up the fire pit on the weekends-so if that is something you are interested in that is another plus.

Large room with two sinks, TV, microwave and fridge. The building is somewhat dated, but everything was functional and clean. Large property with lots of grassy areas, a swimming pool, and a spa at the front (not sure how this is related to the motel). Nice views. This motel is on the outskirts of Manchester along 7A, with very little traffic, and is set back from 7A, behind the spa building and the swimming pool, so it is rather quiet. Good continental breakfast as far as these go, including Tropicana OJ, Thomas English muffins, and Dannon yogurt. Friendly owners/staff.

Very nice and peaceful accommodations very close to the center of beautiful Manchester, Vermont. My room met all of my needs, the price was fairly reasonable when compared to the many other options in the area, breakfast was sufficient enough for me and once again, I liked how peaceful, relaxing and clean the place was. Staff in the morning were very hospitable, check out was a snap and the view of the mountains that surround the town as seen and enjoyed by me in back of the lodge was spectacular. I would highly recommend staying at this nice place if you are looking for a safe, clean, fairly reasonably priced and comfortable room and place to stay that has a terrific location.

Team member that welcomed us at check-in was very friendly and provided great recommendations on where to grab a meal. Room was clean; a very quaint setting and reminder of a simple and relaxed time of travel. Nice to be away from the hustle & bustle of a hotel “chain”.

Super, Super clean- they do not cut any corners when it comes to cleaning. Motel is set back from the road so it was quiet. Very large room and back window had nice view of mountain. Only drawbacks was it was kinda dark in the room (several lights but dim) and beds/pillows could have been more comfortable. But really nice staff and close to center of town (less than 2 minute drive). Would stay here again for sure and reasonably priced. Great location.

My hubby and I are in New England for our 30th anniversary trip! We were driving and came across this place when we were looking for a place to stay for the night. I’m SO glad we stopped! This hotel is beautiful!! Well kept, clean, comfortable! I’m the kind that always feels the need to drown hotel rooms in Lysol and Clorox wipes.. I didn’t feel I had to do that here!!
The grounds are gorgeous! The staff is amazing and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!!
We ate dinner at Christo’s (I think that’s the name) pizza and pasta in town. We had a large pizza and while it was a tad pricey, it was really good!

Hi,
Sorry, our policy here is no pets. We have a great animal hospital and equine center located about 2 1/2 miles north of us where you could board your pet and visit it whenever you want. We have had guests use there facilities and have been very pleased with them. We use the center for our black lab. Phone # is 802-362-2241.
I was a guest at The Aspen, not the owner. Better to contact them directly
