Nestled amidst scenic surroundings, The Inn at Ormsby Hill receives accolades for its immaculate cleanliness and warm, inviting atmosphere, replete with festive decorations and cozy fireplaces. Guests frequently commend the inn's well-appointed rooms, which boast high-quality bedding, tasteful decor, and luxurious amenities including fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.

Property's Favorite Review
The Inn at Ormsby Hill is a beautiful, historic inn run by a very friendly husband and wife duo, Jack and MaryAnn. Built in 1764, it teems with history. We loved it here and you will too!
We stayed in the Library, which was Edward Isham’s personal library and contains many books from his collection. It’s a beautiful place.

My husband and I took a quick trip to Vermont and had a wonderful stay at The Inn at Ormsby Hill.
The inn is beautiful and the grounds ....stunning!
They have a gorgeous rear patio with plenty of seating that is just the perfect spot for relaxing.
We stayed in the Ethan Allen room and it was perfect ( we would definitely choose this room again). It is located on the first floor/back of the inn and has a nice little deck with two chairs. This overlooks the beautiful back yard. The room is a nice size with a really comfortable bed,a gas fireplace (which we used for a bit on this nice cool Vermont night),air conditioning and small flat screen tv. The bathroom was great with a whirlpool tub and separate shower (also has robes for your use as well as hair dryer and a lovely makeup mirror-which I took note of and promptly ordered one of when we got home)
There is complimentary bottled water in your room and tea/coffee available throughout the day in the dining room and homemade cookies each afternoon.
Breakfast is included in the rate and was absolutely delicious! The yogurt parfait....💕
The location is so nice because you are removed from the hustle & bustle of downtown Manchester Village but still only a few minutes drive away.
We are looking forward to going back next year either in the summer if Saratoga reopens for horse racing or a bit later in the fall for the foliage.
Thank you for a great stay,
Wayne & Anne

Susan and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary at this picturesque Bed and Breakfast. We have stayed at others before but this by far is the best we have found. The host's Jack and MaryAnn have created a place that is nothing short of magnificent. The house is beautifully decorated and very detailed and the rooms are clean, comfortable, peaceful and offer all the amenities you will need. They ensure that you are comfortable and have only one request, that you come relaxe and enjoy. The breakfast are great and plentiful. The location is fantastic with a view of the beautiful Green Mountains and the accessibility to Manchester Center with it's boutiques and shops is within minutes and the available dinning experiences our amazing. Jack and MaryAnn and very knowledgeable about the area and can and will make recommendations that will not steer you wrong. This is a must for anyone looking for that perfect getaway for a complete relaxing experience.

We spent two nights at the wonderful Inn at Ormsby Hill, and had a very special visit. This historic Inn is a treat with its two vintage sitting areas filled with antiques, and its beautiful breakfast room with a stunning view of the Green Mountain and valley. The Inn is meticulously clean, and the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. We booked the Anne Eliza and Frances suites. The Anne Eliza room is a cozy blue with a wonderful canopy bed and fireplace. The Frances suite has a sitting room with a fireplace overlooking the beautiful Green Mountain and valley. The Frances suite also has a deck with comfortable chairs and a side table to enjoy the mountain views. Both the Anne Eliza and Frances suites were tastefully decorated with coordinating colors from the bedding to the wall paper and curtains.
The breakfasts at the Inn at Ormsby Hill were also wonderful. The innkeepers, Maryann and Jack, served a delicious yogurt parfait filled with abundant fruit. The yogurt was very special with its hint of maple syrup. One morning we had delicious eggs and the next we had tasty french toast. Both meals were a special treat.
We highly recommend the Inn at Ormsby Hill, and we will definitely be back.

We are return guests but this is the first time we have stayed at the inn with the new owners.
The present owners Jack and Mary Ann are both friendly and personable. MaryAnn provided us with information regarding restaurants and various hiking trails.
We stayed in the Thompson Purdy room. While we both appreciated the comfortable king sized bed and the room itself, we both agreed that the bathroom would benefit from an upgrade. Given the location of the room in the front of the inn, we also heard the cars driving by outside (especially in the morning)
Breakfast served each morning was hearty and provided us with a good start to the day whether for shopping or a nice hike.
Each afternoon after a day of exploring the area we sat outside in the back enjoying the lovely weather and beautiful mountain views.
Overall, a pleasant stay.

My wife and I just left today and we miss it already. Everything about the visit was great. The innkeepers were very thoughtful and accommodating, they made sure to have turkey bacon available to my wife once they knew that she couldn’t have pork bacon. We didn’t even have to ask. Thank you Jack “sir”, Maryann and of course Sybi for making this a wonderfully memorable trip.

+1
The Inn at Ormsby Hill exceeded all our expectations. We were excited for a romantic getaway and they certainly delivered. The inn is exceptionally decorated with unique charm at every corner. The pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable with massive king beds, deep whirlpools, and perfect fireplaces. The property itself is well manicured, cozy, and has everything you can think of from fine wine available for purchase to maple syrup and board games to play with on their massive deck overlooking Vermont’s foliage and rolling hills. We cannot wait to come stay here again and again. Thank you so much for your hospitality and warmth! I forgot to mention the breakfast was absolutely spectacular!

We stayed just one night at the Inn and had a lovely time. The pandemic has forced some changes but the Inn did a great job adhering to the VT COVID-19 requirements with cleaning, mask wearing, and social distancing. The room we stayed in was small but well appointed with a wonderful whirlpool tub. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Only complaint I have is that the bed was too high! I'm short so had a difficult time climbing onto the bed (found a step stool in the closet when we were leaving). We'll stay there again soon!

We just spent a delightful weekend in Manchester and highly recommend the Inn at Ormsby Hill. Jack and MaryAnn Orlando go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, and Jack serves fabulous breakfasts that MaryAnn prepares. We stayed in the Taft Room, which is spacious and extremely comfortable. It comes with a separate sitting room (my wife calls it a "nook") which adds a lot, and the bathroom (warning, it is up two stairs) is luxurious. We would certainly return. The "nearly" in the title of this review is because the bed pillow was a bit hard for my taste. If I had been smart enough to mention it, I'm sure a softer one would have been provided.

Hi, they do have a sit down breakfast at a planned time each morning. There is, however, a table with granola, yogurt, fruit, cereal and sometimes other goodies that are available earlier and stay out through breakfast.
Well I cant answer the pet question but the Inn is very close to hiking trails in Manchester.
