I was privileged to spend last night at the Wilburton Inn. I stayed in the Maxwell House, 4 independent suites. The four poster bed requires a step stool to get in it, but was very comfortable. The shower (always important to me) was hot and powerful. A coffee maker is provided s as well as a microwave & fridge. The Inn has a swimming pool and tennis court.
At the end of the driveway, you turn towards the grand entrance. This is the beginning of a remarkable experience. We were greeted by a most welcoming host. The interior decor is stunning with period architecture. The online photos do not quite capture the feeling when you are in the space. But then, how could it? The room exceeded our expectations. This is classic under promised and over delivered. We were early so taking advantage, we peered into the other rooms, all uniquely beautiful. The Grand living area with the large stone fireplaced is where we gathered that evening with other guests for Wine, Cheese and very pleasant conversation. Millie and I plan on making this a new destination. The Wilburton Resort compliments the village charm of Manchester. Being very close to the Village, yet secluded enough to enjoy quiet, star filled evenings. Another great treat is their Earth, Sky, Time Farm just a couple of miles down the road. Many choices of bread and pastry, organic and fermented foods, absolutely a must visit. There was even a Christmas Tractor Parade in town. The event was a truly "Hometown, festive" experience we will speak of for years. We plan to return, often. We made some friends.…
We had a wonderful time at Wilburton . The reunion house was amazing , it was prefect for our group with our pets . The property landscape was so beautiful, we enjoyed very much . Thankyou Melissa for everything.
The Wilburton Inn is an extraordinary place and holds a special place in our hearts. This was the first venue my husband and I visited and we couldn't stop thinking about it so it was the obvious choice. Every staff member who works at the inn made us feel incredibly cared for. We felt like we walked away with amazing memories and new friends. Meesha was our coordinator and we can't begin to express how amazing our experience was. Being wedding newbies, we had no idea what we were doing but Meesha guided us and helped us create one of the most memorable and spectacular days. Meesha made our wedding planning feel stress-free and easy, she was there for us every step of the way. We had an amazing wedding at the Wilburton, we wish we could be there every weekend! Our friends and family can't stop raving about how much fun they had. From the bonfire the night before the wedding to the actual wedding day everything was wonderful.…
The Battenkill Valley Mansion at the Wilburton was the perfect location for our extended family to stay for our family reunion in Manchester. The house was large enough for us all to have private beds and baths, and the communal areas brought us all together. We loved playing together in the game room, cooking favorite family recipes in the commercial kitchen, and making campfires. A glass of wine on the gazebo or enjoying our books from Northshire Bookstore on the hammock were lovely ways for the adults to spend the afternoon, and the kids enjoyed searching for fish in the pristine lake on the property and playing the outdoor games and stargazing in the big field. Our favorite activity was playing live action Among Us, and we all felt the house would be a perfect setting to host a murder mystery dinner or escape room. Our host Melissa was wonderful to work with, and we had everything we could possibly need and more. It was truly a dream location for our reunion and we wholeheartedly recommend it!…
We had an amazing time. The Inn is magnificent. The acres surrounded by mountains and the exciting and interesting sculptures kept us constantly walking around. The views are amazing The many houses on the property are wonderful and surrounded by the beautiful views. The owners and manager are so friendly and helpful. Of course the doggy welcomer is my favorite. Like the rest, most friendly and lovable. The landscaping is filled with flowers and items of interest. We had the most enjoyable time Manchester is a beautiful town. Filled with wonderful shopping and fabulous restaurants. We both gained weight eating fabulous food. We can not wait to go back. Take a trip and stay at the Wilburton. You will be so happy. Susan and John
My wife and I had another glorious visit at the Wilburton Inn last weekend. An immaculate and well appointed room and bath, an attentive and gracious host, and gorgeous and scenic grounds and views … what more could one ask for? ..Amazing !
It was our first time visiting and we loved the Doggie Slumber Party so much! All of the activities were festive and fun and we enjoyed meeting the other guests and their dogs. The accommodations are wonderful and the inn is gorgeous. We look forward to visiting again.
Perfect accomodations for a large group of skiers! private bathroom in each bed room was a big plus. Can't beat the location, very close to Manchester, Killington, Stratton and Bromley mountains. We will definitely be visiting again!
Really spacious, nice, clean house - worked great for our group of three families. The grounds are also very charming and ideal for walks even on a bitterly cold winter day. Melissa was a wonderful hostess and provided great communication re. the house and the area.
