This is such a beautiful Inn. The rooms are light and airy and extremely comfortable. The location is great -- with incredible mountain biking just steps away. I enjoyed the expansive views from the outdoor hot tub and had one of the best massages ever by Rachel. I highly recommend Stepping Stones Inn.

We had an amazing stay and the hospitality was excellent. It exceeded our expectations. We were very excited to hear that the Inn is under new ownership and has been re-opened for a short time. Susan is doing a fantastic job! The views are beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxing. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. Perfect start to our day... More

I did not stay at the property but booked a massage. The massage was wonderful and relaxing. The sauna was clean and hot. However I have never been to a spa where they hand you a bathrobe that is tattered and really needs to be replaced. When you are paying that kind of money for the massage I kind of... More

This is a great place to enjoy a quiet and peaceful getaway. My son and I spent the better part of the day Riding Kingdom trails right out the door of the Inn while my wife enjoyed a wonderful Massage and Scrub with David. Katy was a wonderful hostess and had some great recommendations for dinner. Family run , personal... More

My husband and I just spent a memorable weekend at this beautiful B&B. I don't often write reviews like this but felt like I should share our experience at this hidden gem. I surprised my husband with a weekend at the Stepping Stone for his 40th birthday. An avid mountain biker, he was thrilled to be able to ride the... More

We attended a wedding weekend event and the entire group stayed here at the B&B spa. The hostess was gracious and accomodating to our large and varied group. The Inn has a number of gathering rooms and areas, which worked well for our group. My favorite area was the eat in kitchen! The kitchen was warm and friendly and offered... More

I hate to be a complainer so I almost didn't write this review. Lets start with the positives: the staff are all very friendly and helpful with directions and knowledgeable about the area. Yes they are only there during the day and in and out sometimes during the day but that didn't bother us at all. The location is excellent-... More

My girlfriend and I were spending the weekend mountain biking at Kingdon Trails and we chose Stepping Stone Spa as our lodging, since we wanted a bit of a spa spin on our trip. We were not disappointed. Firstly, this place is so quaint and charming - it felt just like home. Breakfast was wonderful, not a limited continental breakfast,... More

My daughter was in school near by so I have stayed here on numerous occasions. One of my favorite places to stay when I am visiting. Beautiful setting, nice staff with wonderful spa amenities. I have tried all of the housing arrangements in the area, and this was by far the cleanest and the nicest place to stay. The management... More

Simply charming! A beautiful place with a great staff. We were there twice and loved it. The rooms are nicely decorated, the t.v room comfortable and the breakfast room very clean. We were there in the spring for mountain biking ; right on the kingdom trails. Wow! In winter for skiing in Burke, a very nice mountain five minutes from... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Stepping Stones Inn is located on beautiful Darling Hill on the Kingdom Trails system. Kingdom Trails offers mountain biking, winter biking, snow-shoeing, cross country traditional and skate skiing. We are also 3 miles from Burke Mountain, a four season resort offering downhill skiing and mountain biking. Access to the VAST system is across the street. Willoughby Lake (in the GAP) is 15 minutes away. Newly opened as a Bed and Breakfast, we also offer massage therapy, yoga sessions and dry saunas. We recommend booking ahead for restaurants as they do get busy. Our restaurant recommendations are Foggy Goggle, Publick House, and Sweet Basils. Additionally, Mike's Tiki Bar is a must for every mountain biker! Located in downtown East Burke, there is a food truck and wine and beer bar. We do not yet have our own beer license, and we are BYOB. ... more   less
