The Inn at Waters Edge was beautifully renovated with spacious, comfortable rooms and lovely common areas that were available for guests to use. Joel and Mitch were excellent hosts and breakfast each morning was delicious. There are lots of outdoor activities in the area and several good restaurants nearby in Ludlow. We enjoyed inclusive use of the inn's canoes to go paddling on the lake. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
The Innkeepers Joel & Mitch made our weekend full of delicious food (& I mean clean your plate good), fantastic cocktails, & fabulous hospitality. My friends and I had an amazing time enjoying everything the property has to offer- the beautiful lake, the fun lawn games, and the exquisite bar space. The rooms were incredibly clean and thoughtfully decorated. Each room had a cozy robe and slippers to wear around the inn! Both Joel & Mitch made recommendations of places to explore and eat. We went to the waterfalls around the corner, which were beautiful. I cannot recommend this place more - we are hoping to return in the winter for a family gathering! Skiing is very close.
My wife and I stayed at The Inn at Water's Edge for the first time as guests at my sister's wedding. She had stayed here several times previously and booked the entire Inn for her wedding party, friends and family. Unfortunately, a major winter storm arrived on the weekend of the wedding. We decided to play it safe and travel to Vermont from New Jersey on Saturday, when the ceremony was scheduled. Our original stay was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, but Mitch and Joel were kind enough to allow us to stay Saturday and Sunday night. Most of the wedding party arrived a day early on Thursday, so they departed Sunday morning, allowing us to have the entire Inn to ourselves. To say that the Inn is magnificent would be an understatement. The entrance leads to a large living room and fireplace, backed by a full service bar. The dining room is down the hall to the left, along with another beautifully decorated living room area. Board games , such as chess, Scrabble, and a deluxe version of Clue are available for your enjoyment. A fresh pot of coffee is always ready in the main living room, along with a selection of cookies and pastries. Mitch is a highly skilled gourmet chef, and his breakfasts are incredibly tasty. Our first experience with his cooking, however, was the post-wedding dinner. Joel greeted us at the door upon our return from the church with celebratory glasses of champagne, and a table full of mouth-watering hors d'oeuvres awaited us in the living room. The dinner was out of this world. My wife had an amazing steak au poivre, and I had some delicious almond crusted mahi mahi. Truly a culinary experience like no other. The breakfast the following morning was absolute perfection. Blueberry pancakes with bacon and eggs, fluffy french toast, and eggs benedict were a few of Mitch's gourmet creations.. Some of the best breakfasts we've ever had at a b and b. The following night, with the Inn all to ourselves, our hosts were kind enough to light a fire in the living room. We both had a craving for some chardonnay, and a simple text brought Joel out to serve us a glass at the bar. The kindness and hospitality of Mitch and Joel was an important part of the enjoyment we experienced. We cannot recommend the Inn at Water's Edge highly enough. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a stay at this magnificent inn.…
Had a BLAST snowboarding in the glades at Pico and skiing Okemo. Mitch and Joel and the freaking best! Joel is the most welcoming, helpful host and will do anything to make ya comfy. Mitch’s breakfast is so tasty you may end up asking for seconds. Vermont is magical in the winter! We had dinner at Stemwinder and Homestyle Hotel and their food was amazing too! If you want to hit the slopes, eat, drink, and be merry by the fireplace, go to The In at Water’s Edge. WILL BE BACK. ;)
Awesome warm and cozy inn! Fantastic staff, incredible breakfasts and beautiful rooms and common areas. Beautiful decor and just what you would picture for a Vermont country inn. We enjoyed the room and welcoming overall experience. Nothing like a roaring fire after a day on the slopes.
We enjoyed an amazing ski weekend at the Inn at Water's Edge in January. After some hesitation about hitting the slopes because of the below zero temps, we had a great time in the sunshine at Okemo Mountain which is conveniently located just minutes away from the inn. On our return from an invigorating day of skiing, we were welcomed back to a roaring fire and warm mulled wine. Add a hot shower and warm, down covered beds and it adds up to total comfort and relaxation. The choices of either a sweet or savory breakfast were hard to choose between, but each one we had (and shared) were delicious! The hospitality that is shown by Mitch and Joel is outstanding. We love this inn and will be sure to return for another visit soon.
We had an amazing long thanksgiving weekend at the inn. Our room (room 11) was so cute and super comfortable. The bathroom was like being in a spa every day. Mitch & Joel are INCREDIBLE hosts—they made us feel so welcome and at home. This was one of our favorite trips we’ve taken, we will definitely be back to visit again.
I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast and Inn at Water's Edge blew us away! The Inn was beautiful from the rooms to the common areas to the hosts. Every morning there was a choice of savory or sweet breakfast which was just delicious. The rooms felt like a spa with the gorgeous features. We had some great dinners in the area (Downtown Grocery), hiked and canoed. 10/10 would recommend.
Spent a fall weekend with friends at the Inn. Beautifully renovated and charming. Relaxing and wonderful. I quiet place to enjoy what nature has to offer nearby. Charming towns and much to do. The warm hospitality of the Inn makes this place even better!
I meant to write a review a year ago because we so enjoyed our two nights at this inn. The owners were welcoming and friendly in the best possible ways. The room was comfortable and meals (we had breakfasts and one dinner) were delicious. The lake is a few minutes walk down a path. There's a dock and chairs; boats were available and the lake, surrounded by trees, is gorgeous. We will definitely return.
