We've been visiting the Combes for the past 30+ years (15 times!) on Columbus Day weekends. Their warmth and conviviality keep us coming back for more - some of the most comfortable folks to be around that we know. A great base of operations for fall leaf peeping and hanging out. Several guests gravitate to the family room after dinner...

The Combes Family Inn was our last stop on the inn to inn tour. I have to say, my son and I felt right at home, and part of the family from the moment we arrived. Ruth, Bill, Sharon and Bruce were so much fun - we felt totally at ease and comfortable our entire time at the inn. Our...

My sister and I stayed at this Inn for a long weekend. We wanted to go hiking and sightseeing in Vermont. The Innkeepers were great host. They made you feel like you were at home. I am a vegan and have a hard time looking for what to eat but the Combes always arranged to have something for me to...

The friendliest Innkeepers and wonderfully homey accommodations. Beds were comfy, pillow needed to be improved, bath clean and tidy. The outstanding service and friendliness of atmosphere are the highlight of this Inn which is choked full of great photos on the walls and books of varied interests. Dinner and breakfast provided just what the traveler needs- hearty, laughter, and great...

We came to visit our son who works at Farm and Wilderness. The Combes Family Inn was very convenient and most pleasurable. The surrounding area is quite scenic and the inn is very clean and reasonable. The breakfast provided is excellent and our hosts were extremely accommodating. No doubt we will return.

Tired with aching & blistered feet we arrived at our last stop of our Inn to Inn walking tour on Friday at 1:30. We were warmly welcomed by Ruth with a cold glass of lemonade. Sat on the front porch with our two other walkers resting, talking and getting re-energized. My wife & I took showers and freshened up and...

Sorry but sometimes a place has lived past it's time and this place definitely has! The rooms were musty and SO out-dated! I don't like giving a bad review but I also think the time had come for this place to close.no cable no wi,fi,

Stayed here 2 nights. Was happy the "motel" part of the inn welcomed dogs, but it was extremely outdated and musty! It was very overpriced for the state of the rooms. However, although they were old and musty, they were clean. The innkeeper did not smile at us once! Home-cooked breakfast was good but smallish portions meant we were still...

The Inn is an old farm house with an added 5 room strip motel. You are 3 or 4 miles on a dirt road and a few miles from a town. The Inn itself is quaint, welcoming, eclectic in decor, like walking into your great-grandparents home. The Inn Keepers are friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the addition. It had...

We have stayed at the Combes Famly Inn every winter for over 20 years. We love the location, we love the food and we love the inkeeepers. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. It's a great place for families as well as couples and singles.
