Rabbit Hill Inn's beautifully decorated rooms have earned praise for their comfort and cleanliness, though they come with a price tag that some guests find steep in relation to the service provided. While the inn's location is celebrated for its tranquility, there have been suggestions for refurbishments. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy and welcoming, yet service experiences vary, with a mix of accolades for attentiveness and critiques of inconsistency. Amenities like fireplaces and puzzles are popular, but some long-time guests miss the exceptional touches of the past.

We have been traveling as a couple for over 51 years all over the world and the US.
Our 51st Anniversary was just spent at The Rabbit Hill Inn. It was a much needed respite from our quarantines and self-isolations in Florida and Vermont since March 15th until June 14th due to COVID19. We were very hesitant to venture out, eat out and sleep away from our home. The Rabbit Hill Inn handled the entire situation with great competence and understanding abiding by all the rules. We were so happy we decided to go. The Rabbit Hill Inn was phenomenal. The room was delightful and charming. The restaurant (two dinners and two breakfasts) was a special treat with incomparable, delicious and unique meals. The staff was knowledgeable, very warm and friendly. The location was near Dog Mountain and the Dog Chapel which, for animal lovers (especially dog lovers), is a must. Kind of like a tonic for your soul. No question we will be back. The Rabbit Hill in was undoubtedly one of the best, if not THE best, Bed and Breakfast Inns that we ever stayed at. On top of everything else we thought the room rate and dinner menu were quite reasonable for the type of place The Rabbit Hill Inn is. If you are thinking about going, do so. You won't be sorry.

Words can't express the depth of our gratitude for choosing to be with us as you ventured out for the 1st time since the beginning of the "Covid situation". It's a big decision to make & you honored us with your trust. That meant the world to us. We are THRILLED to hear that you truly enjoyed every moment, every delicious bite, every aspect of your Rabbit Hill Inn getaway - AND that you found it to be a great value as well. Also, we thank you for making mention of our dedication to our extremely careful covid-19 protocols & precautions. Your desire to return says it all. There is so much more to do & see here. SO again, a million thank yous for choosing us, and for sharing a good word with others. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future for another fun-filled "safecation" . Until next time, stay well.

Nestled in the mountains of Vermont, this inn is a genuinely peaceful and beautifully maintained and operated place to rest up for a few days. The team here is very skilled at taking care of its guests with a level of skill and professionalism rarely encountered.
The meals were excellently prepared and served. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and clean. The bar was as classic as it gets. Ideal location for a wide-variety of outdoor activities like biking and hiking.
The owners were very accommodating and knowledgeable and quick to help with your requests. The view of the mountains while enjoying an evening beverage was incredible.
An over-the-top presentation start to finish. We were astonished at how pleasant the whole experience turned out to be. What a gem. A must to return to.

Rabbit Hill is an exceptional Inn whose staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed in the Music Room which we loved on a previous visit. The room is large with several windows, sitting area in front of gas fireplace and includes a small drip coffee maker. Breakfast is excellent and provides a great start to your day. The Inn is beautiful and cozy and has a very nice pub space where cocktails are served starting around 5:30. And don't miss afternoon tea with an outstanding plate of pastries to die for.

Our only criticism is dinner which we feel is overpriced for what you get. For example, one night I ordered the Prawn with grit cake as an appetizer. It was a single prawn with a tiny (and I mean tiny) grit cake for $13.

Hi Charlie. Thank you very much for your lovely review! It was a pleasure welcoming you back again for your special anniversary celebration. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed an "exceptional, first class" stay. The Music room was a wonderful choice - 7 windows capturing those glorious mountain views draped in fall color. Our wonderful breakfasts certainly do prepare you for fun-filled days and our afternoon pastries lure you "back home" to unwind (all included in your room rate). Evening dining is also quite special - a highly seasonal farm-to-table menu that showcases creative cuisine featuring locally sourced and very premium ingredients. Appetizer & entrée portions are designed to allow diners to enjoy a comfortable multi-course dining experience. We do hope to see you again in the near future. Until then, please stay well. :)

Our room (Music Room) was beautiful, exactly as it appears online but so much better in person! The bed was super comfy. The fireplace was so nice to have on a 2 hour timer, falling asleep to the flicker of the flames was my favorite part of our stay! I loved the cd player and disc that was playing when we arrived (I never changed the cd :) we listened to the North Star Jazz Ensemble on repeat for a week) Our room was spotless, and refreshed every morning before we finished the (outstanding) breakfast.
The Inn Owners & Staff were wonderful! With lots of information about area attractions, and guides for day trips. This was our first visit to VT, the detailed guides were so helpful to us. Really loved the area! unspoiled natural beauty at every turn.
The meals were delicious, my favorite was the apple french toast! At dinner there was a super crunchy salad that was maybe the best salad I've ever had! We ordered a cocktail (potent) I'm not a big drinker, so I just had a few sips, but it was yummy! Barr Hill Martinez :) highly recommend the Inn, the area, the breakfast & dinner.
We only made it back for the afternoon tea and treats once.. the tea was amazing, I believe it was Assam tea, which I had never tried before.
We really enjoyed staying at Rabbit Hill Inn B & B and happy to report that a Stave puzzle was completed!
I hope to be back for another visit soon :)
Thank you for the wonder experience!!

We just had the most wonderful weekend at Rabbit Hill Inn. The owners, Brian and Leslie, are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Every single person we met on the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and full of character, including the gas fireplace (that we used on several occasions). I don't want to give away too many details because part of the great experience we had there was being continually surprised and delighted by the attention to detail, unparalleled service, and just nice touches wherever you turned. One thing that does deserve particular mention is the dining room. We had three breakfasts and two dinners there and everything we had was delicious - some of the best meals I can remember having in a long time.

It's also worth mentioning that they are actively managing their occupancy rate, even below what is required to provide a safe environment for guests and staff. When booking, it may look like the Inn is full, but that's because they have blocked off a number of rooms to keep them vacant.

This was our first getaway in over a year, and having this chance to unplug (no TV's anywhere!) and unwind was really wonderful. We read, worked on a puzzle (you should see their puzzle collection!), went for a day hike nearby, and just had a relaxing time. Even better, we feel like we've made some new friends. We will definitely be back!

We just spent three wonderfully relaxing days at Rabbit Hill during a threatening and stressful time. Never were we concerned about our well being. The Inn is immaculate with constant attention to sterilizing any surface anyone might even think of touching. We have visited Rabbit Hill over a 25 year period and always found it "perfect" in every way: dining, beauty, peace, many options to explore, and the warmest welcome in the world. We feel so fortunate to have discovered the Inn so many years ago. We visit twice a year!

And for your faith & trust in us to visit (without hesitation) during an unprecedented stressful time. I guess we now have one more "remember when" story to look back on next time we are together. My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful Vermont "staycation" getaway at the Rabbit Hill Inn for a belated birthday celebration. Every detail of the stay was to perfection and the service was outstanding. Leslie and Brian, the innkeepers, are doing an amazing job despite the challenges Covid has presented. The rooms, dining area, and common space were spotless and staying at the historic inn feels like stepping back in time. I also wanted to mention the staff member, Don, who couldn't have been more helpful and personable. We will certainly be back for more stays in the future. Thank you again!!

My wife and I stayed at the Rabbit Hill Inn for a weekend getaway.

This place is as advertised - very good. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, and the attention to detail was spectacular. It was so incredibly easy to relax in the room: quiet, spacious, warm and very comfortable.

The common area has lots of space, and is a great place to unwind and enjoy yourself with a book, puzzle or game (or meet other friendly guests)!

The breakfast was spectacular. My wife and I especially liked the ricotta quiche with tomato salad and the smoked salmon omelette, and their homemade granola was a real treat. The dinner there is also very very good, we had a delicious meal (Crudo, then pastrami, then Kobe beef, then a delicious desert), which really made our night.

The innkeepers were both very kind and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. They introduced us to the establishment, helped us plan our activities over breakfast, and made us a drink at the Snooty Fox after dinner.

All in all this was a great find, we will be back!

From the moment we stepped into the Inn until we left we were treated like long lost friends. Everything about this place is magical. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms...well worth the extra $. The room was huge with a cozy sitting area and fireplace. The king bed was enormous and so very comfortable. We splurged on the added romance package and had chilled champagne waiting for us when we arrived as well as soft jazz music playing. We had dinner and breakfast there the next morning and every bit bite was delightful. We ate more than we should have! We would definitely go back.

My girlfriend and I decided to spend our anniversary at the Rabbit Hill Inn. Coming from the city, we weren't quite sure what to expect at this B&B in the middle of Vermont. As soon as we arrived, the attention to detail and kindness of the staff was impeccable and second to none. We felt like royalty and the room accommodations and atmosphere of the entire place just helped elevate the experience to another level. From the bath scents and candles to go along with your jacuzzi tub to the absolutely incredible dining services, we didn't want to leave. We had dinner one night and couldn't believe how delicious everything was. As amazing as the wagyu beef and scallop entrees were, I think my favorite thing was the individual made to order loaves of maple bread with butter. Our server Nico was pleasant and funny and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Breakfast was also amazing. We typically eat late so we usually don't eat breakfast, but had heard such great things, we had to try. Again, we were blown away by the service and quality of the food. Everything was outstanding.

One of my favorite parts about the entire weekend was the picnic basket we requested. Brian and Leslie were the best hosts imaginable and the cute packed lunch we had made the weekend that much more special. Delicious sandwiches, cheese and crackers, and the most amazing dessert blondie imaginable.

Overall this weekend was an 11 out of 10 an we can't wait to come back!
