Stayed there for the first time on a friends recommendation. Room was a bit small but was very clean and had all amenities required. Instead of venturing out, I stayed to enjoy the bar, patrons and listen to great live music. The food was excellently prepared and presented (not your typical small lodging fare.) Staff were wonderful. I look forward to staying again next season.
Kristen is a great host, and the lodge is perfect. Small, only about a dozen rooms, I think we met all the staff at some point. It's only a mile drive to Killington for skiing, and a mile in the other direction is the business district, lots of great eateries and stores. Loved the property and the people.
The Spartan weekend at Killington is becoming very popular and despite booking early, the place we stayed last year, was already unavailable. Lucky for us the Highline Lodge had a room large enough for a family of 4. The Lodge is tucked just a few feet back from the main road and only minutes from the mountain. The main lobby and bar is beautiful with great views of the mountain. We were in room 14 on the 1st floor. We had a king bed and a separate living area with a pullout sofa for the kids. It was small but perfect for us. The kids enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table down stairs and we all enjoyed the LARGE hot tub. The owners and employees couldn’t have been better. Very helpful and friendly. My only regret was we didn’t have dinner there. They serve small tapas and appetizers in a very relaxed setting in the lobby and after a race weekend it just wasn’t what we were looking for. BUT Everything smelled wonderful. Perhaps next year! …
We were visiting our daughter and friend who are thru hiking the AT. The Highline Lodge was exactly what she needed for a relaxing break from the trail. The Lodge features a fully stocked bar and comfy common area. The large outdoor hot tub is THE most beautiful one I have ever seen. The rooms were clean and so chic. Kristen treated us so special and wanted to make sure we lacked nothing. This is definitely a hidden gem in Killington.
We went to Killington with the intention of skiing, but the weather kept us off the mountain. Good thing we were staying at Highline because it was the perfect place to spend a snowy cold day! There were snow shoes to take short hikes through the Lodge's grounds and board games to enjoy by the fire. The excellent food and hospitality meant that we had an amazing weekend -- even with out skiing. Can't recommend this Lodge highly enough!
