This was our first stay at Summit Lodge and I am happy to say, it will not be our last. Loved the old lodge feel. Kids had a ball in the pool and game room playing ping pong and chess. It was good for them to get back to interactive games and off the electronics. We skied both Killington and Pico and both were nearby. The lodge provides a shuttle to Killington that we were able to make the first day but couldn't pull ourselves together in time to make it on day 2. The owners were on site regularly and very friendly. Loved the offerings, the bar had music and dinner can be eaten right on-site. Breakfast is provided daily and we often got there closer to closing time, but they were happy to ask what you wanted (of the offerings) and make more for you. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I understand they are slowly renovating bathrooms but we didn't have one of those. They provide daily maid service but it seems to be a towel change and vacuum. We did have toothpaste in the sink from the kids and that was not cleaned. The rest of the family skied and I didn't but was happy sitting near the fire in the living room chatting with other guests. It has the feel of being at a family member's house. I made connections with other guests and really loved that everyone was so friendly.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Summit Lodge! The Irish pub hit the spot after long days of skiing and the bartenders made us feel like family. The chicken pot pie, French onion soup, vegetable soup, and Guinness stew were mouth wateringly good, and the breakfast was leagues above any other hotel or resort breakfast we’ve encountered. The fire, hot tub, heated outdoor pool, and other amenities were fantastic: The pictures really don’t do this place justice. It’s like an all inclusive resort and the world’s coziest B&B had a damn cute baby. Location to the mountain was ideal, and the folks at Summit gave us great recommendations for restaurants and ski rentals. In addition, when we had to leave early for unexpected family complications, they were more amenable than we could have possibly hoped! We will be back again and again!

This place is super cute with a rustic appeal. They have a lot to do for kids and families: ping pong table, giant Chess/Checkers, Corn Hole, giant Connect Four, an outdoor heated pool you can swim in while it snows... they thought of everything!

Pros:
Fantastic breakfast, great food and drinks, fireplaces in common area, snowshoes and sleds available to use, rustic and family friendly.

Cons:
Beds are not comfortable at all and this may be petty... but they do not offer a non-dairy creamer option for coffee and restaurant doesn't open until 3pm. If you don't ski and are just hanging out, plan for food. There are no Ubers available and we only found one place that delivered before 4pm.

Otherwise, this place is fantastic!!!

My family (2 adults and 2 kids) just spent a ski weekend at the Summit Lodge. The lodge did have some positives. We liked the location up away from the busy street. The on-site pub did the trick for dinner on our arrival night, and had some enjoyable live music. The common areas were cozy and the rustic decor in the common areas was fairly charming. We liked that the included hot breakfast was served at 7am, giving us time to eat before getting to the mountain and securing a good parking space before lifts opened at 8am. There is also a restaurant at the bottom of the driveway (unaffiliated with the lodge, I believe) that was very nice for dinner on our second night.
On the downside, our room was VERY outdated, to the point that it felt uncomfortable. There were very few outlets, and none convenient to the shared nightstand (i.e., there is no place to plug in your mobile phone, which you probably use for your alarm clock, next to your bed), unless maybe if you pulled the nightstand away from the wall. There were also very few other outlets around the room, which was difficult with 4 people in the room. The wallpaper in the bathroom was old and yellowed. The green carpet also looked very old. The wood finish on the furniture and mouldings was all banged up with age. The slides on the dresser drawers were kind of rickety. (On the upside, they do use clean white duvet covers and sheets rather than old comforters, so at least the bedding itself felt fresh and clean).
The walls between rooms were very thin. There was a large group staying at the lodge over the weekend. They arrived relatively late on Friday night and while they didn't seem to be doing anything particularly rude or loud, just the noise of them moving around, talking to each other, and getting settled woke us up and kept us awake in our room.
There were one or two "antique" pots and pans on the wall for decoration, which maybe would look okay if the rest of the room had been redecorated into a more "rustic modern" aesthetic, but since that is not the case, these decorations just contributed to the feeling that we were in a very old, dingy room.
While the room was overall okay and acceptable despite being very outdated, the worst part was knowing that we paid almost $400/night (before taxes) for this room. I understand that this is just "supply and demand" at Killington, which is an expensive area. I don't know that we could have gotten a better room for our money. I did just feel like it was not a great value for a significant amount of money, especially on a non-holiday weekend.
I do think that with some updating and additional outlets, and maybe some soundproofing between rooms if possible, this could be a great place to stay.

We love this space.
The staff is so wonderful, fun, kind, and helpful. The grounds are pristine and picturesque (bring mosquito bug spray)
The pools are so relaxing and carefree.
The summit inn is a perfect escape (we are a family visiting from brooklyn ny). Rustic with the amenities that we need. The rooms are cozy and rustic (with air conditioning and a TV)
This is the best property in the Killington area for the summer.
I highly recommend
We will be back this summer.

What a wonderful three nights at Summit Lodge. Could not have asked for a better stay. The room was rustic - big bed, single chair, closet, place to hang clothes, great hot water/pressure and a perfect view of the mountain from the window and terrace.

The lodge is great. Big fireplaces in the different rooms. A warm and cozy pub where you will make friends. Pool table, real dart board, music and just steps away from the indoor hot tub and the outdoor pool/hot tub. So if you want to grab a drink in your robe, go right ahead!

Nice hot breakfast included in the rate. Perfect to get the day started because the last thing you want to do when it’s 6 degrees is go outside for food!

Great location. So close to the mountain and other establishments if you would like to venture out.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay and our weekend. I hope we have an opportunity to go back. Typically we are beach vacation goers but were looking for something different and it was awesome!!!!

Thank you so much Summit Lodge!

I have had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Summit Lodge and Resort and the location, rooms, staff and food are all amazing. Friendly yet professional service, lovely setting with pools, gardens and game areas. O'Dwyer's Irish pub is perfect for a cozy drink after the celebrations and also a great spot to relax after a day on the slopes.
Whether you are looking for a destination for your Vermont wedding or a great resort to relax in after skiing, hiking or touring Vermont, Summit Lodge is the perfect choice!

We had a great stay at the Summit Lodge to attend a family party. Grounds are absolutely beautiful, pools are sparkling and the pool bar was great (thank you Dana!). The fire pit was stacked and burning late afternoon into the evening, continental breakfast had nice hot coffee and a good toaster, staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean but a bit dated; (keys for doors and loud free standing a/c unit) but beds were comfortable and bathroom water was hot with good pressure. Food at poolside bar was very good too!

It's a shame. This could be such an outstanding property with just a bit of TLC. An outdoor paint job, updating the existing electrical outlets in the rooms and perhaps adding a few more (lots of gadgets to charge in 2022) instead of only two in a room and reinstalling the shuttle to the mountain would be a start. Our room also needed a new bathroom door since it did not close properly.
We understand it's covid, but beginning breakfast at 8 am is just too late for those of us that want to get in a full day of skiing.
The positives: Beds and bedding were great. Outdoor heated pool and sauna were very relaxing after a day on the slopes.
The restaurant has wonderful food and our bartender/ waitress was excellent.

First trip to Killington was amazing as was our stay at Summit. Warm and cozy with fires burning throughout lodge. This is a charming lodge with wonderful amenities such as breakfast buffet daily that is included in your stay, a huge HOT tube, sauna, and outdoor hot plunge pool. There is a game room with human size chess set, corn hole, ping pong, jenga. There is a lingering with huge fireplace, plenty of seating, tables set with puzzles. My 8 and 9 year old loved it. Our family room was dated by again charming and comfortable. Plush bedding provided. Clean. Endless hot water for showers. TV with cable and WiFi. Our shared balcony overlooked the mountain. If you’re looking for a Vermont chalet feel this is for you. If you require room service and a more modern stay this is not for. Great location ,close to everything. Killington Mountain and Pico Mountain short drives. Not ski and out location
