Our mountain lodge is located on the 6th hole of Killington Golf Course, less than two miles from Killington Ski Area. In addition to the slopes, hike and bike trails for all skill levels can be found nearby, as well as plenty of local restaurants within a mile of us. After a busy day, dine in front of our cozy fireplace or soothe your muscles in our 20-person hot tub.

We went up to Vermont for a ski trip. We had one of the two-bedroom suites. The property is at a great location, very close to Killington, and not a long drive to Okemo either.
Like a lot of businesses in Vermont, this property is experiencing a staff shortage problem, but everyone on site is very welcoming and they’re best to help us with our requests.
There were however two problems we encountered: the curtains were missing on one side of the room, and the outside hot tub could use a bit more cleaning.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our start at Killington Mountain Lodge and really loved the welcoming staffs

The room was big, comfortable and very clean. It was off peak, so it was not busy at all. The prices reflected that it was off peak so we felt the value of the king room was very good. The room had a portable AC that cooled the room perfectly. We opted for the balcony room. There was only a very narrow balcony overlooking the courtyard, but it was still nice. They had two small bonfires in the courtyard at night, which was cozy. The staff were all friendly. We knew that staffing was limited and the people working there were spread thin, but even with this added stress, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We brought our dog and there was plenty of grass outside to walk him around in. There are a lot of short hikes nearby and a few restaurants are currently open. We went to sushi yoshi-which allows dogs outside!
The only negative comment I can make is that the indoor poor had a bit of grass and dirt in it and breakfast was only a sub-par muffin and a tiny orange juice. It's corona times—so we get it. That didn't bother us, but it would be better if they let you know beforehand that actual breakfast isn't being served as advertised.

The place has all the amenities of a good ski lodge. Tons of rustic themed common areas with games, pool tables, coffee and hot chocolate, hot tub, fire places, indoor pool, ski area shuttle, plenty of parking. The breakfast is plentiful with enough seating.
The place is old, or appears that way, and the rooms show that. Patio doors stick, not a lot of lighting in the rooms, switches the don’t control anything, not a lot of plugs for charging modern electronics. Doors aren’t weighted to close. Single door (not double, tho you could see it had been taken off the hinges) to the neighboring connecting room - and the neighbors were noisy. The beds were comfortable and triple sheeted. The room was clean.
The bathroom is small, but adequate. Towels are small, but adequate. Only put in four bath towel, two hand towels, and two wash cloth. In mid-afternoon, could not get enough hot water in the shower.
It’s a nice place with friendly staff and lots to do and lots of amenities, but total luxury it isn’t.
I would stay again, if I got a good price, but if other places had comparable pricing and amenities, I might try somewhere else.

Our family took up skiing five years ago. We’ve bounced around to see the varieties of features each location brings. Killington, VT ranks in our top tier. The Killington Ski Resort folks are all so welcoming and the surrounding community is great with several nice family friendly restaurants. For us, the Killington Mountain Lodge just added to the magic that made this vacation amongst our best. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is terrific (Real eggs!). The rooms are just enough to rest your head comfortably while the rest of the lodge has fire places, a pool table, table games like gigantic Jenga and Connect Four (“Pretty sneaky sis!”), and a small movie theatre. During our stay the pub was open each night and served food. There is an indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub that is just plain fun in 25 degrees and snowing. Look, as one lady put it to me, “It ain’t The Plaza, but why change it?” The magic just works if you let it. We have one child and he made friends every night. Each day, you can ride the free shuttle or drive the 1.5miles to the Killington Ski Resorts, Snowshed or Ramshead or a surrounding lot. The ski school is top notch with plenty of green slopes for newbies. The mountain offers something for everyone planning to ski, snow board, and I understand a tubing place is by the Killington Resort. Killington isn’t call “The Beast of the East” for nothing. The amount of trails available seems endless. Just take the gondola to the Peak Lodge and enjoy a meal. We were too chicken to try and ski it back so poor us had to enjoy the scenic gondola ride all the way backdown (It was awesome!)
Killington Mountain Lodge was until recently a Best Western Signature Collection. Is it a cookie cutter Best Western? No. It is a unique place with a unique personality, which to me fits the BW Signature Collection portfolio perfectly. If it were still a Best Western, I would rate it amongst the best BW properties. I am a Diamond member at BW with plenty of stays all around the country. Like any other hotel, if you do not like the soap or shampoo, bring your own. The staff is extremely friendly if you approach them with respect. They catered to all of our needs. We are definitely coming back to Killington someday and if there is availability we will stay at the Killington Mountain Lodge, and we are not just talking skiing because this place seems like it will be awesome to visit throughout the year.

My family of four stayed at the Killington Mountain Lodge for MLK weekend. I checked in online but found out when we got to the hotel (past 10 PM) that our room was inadvertently given to someone else. The gentleman at reception was apologetic and remedied it quickly (booted the other family out), but at that point, any cleaning and sanitizing that was done to the room would have been compromised. A couple of maintenance related issues followed - the room was not heating ( it was bothersome but maintenance fixed it right away and was very nice). Day 2, there was no hot water around 4 PM (skip the shower!), and when we came back to the hotel around 10 PM, there was no running water anywhere in the room (Can't use the bathroom!). We were told there was a pipe issue and will be compensated $100. I would rather have running water as $100 is barely a fraction off what we paid for our stay. Yes I did email Hilton about the issues and got a canned response and was obviously a cut and paste as two paragraphs were identical on their response (ha!). As others pointed out, several amenities were a work in progress- we received an email three days before our stay that the indoor pool, bar, and restaurant are still unavailable. The hotel is a work in progress, construction wise and all and as a guest, the stay is not relaxing at all. Through out all these issues, the staff remained polite, accommodating, truly nice and professional. Kudos to them, as these issues at the hotel are not on them but on Hilton for delivering a half ready hotel.

Let me start by saying that the staff are wonderful and they are the only reason I am giving this place one star. I booked this place expecting a Hilton Tapestry Collection. Given the name, the price tag ($300-400 per night), online photos and description, I expected a more upscale version of the usual Hilton. I am a Hilton Honors member, I’ve stayed at many around the world, I know what to expect and I am rarely disappointed as the Hilton tends to be quite consistent. However, this place was a huge disappointment! I am not even sure where to start, but I will describe a few issues. The hotel does not have potable water, we had to brush our teeth with bottled water. The tub was clogged (even after we asked to have it fixed), the toilet had mildew (which they insisted was hard water stain that could not be cleaned), the shower curtain was also full of mildew (we asked to have it changed), and the tub faucet was broken (yep, coming out of the wall). The microwave was dirty when we checked in. Even though we booked the family suite (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4), we only had towels for 2 people. There was no room service so we had to clean, take out trash, go get our own towels and toilet paper every other day, and we had to get water every day. The pool was not fully built, the conference rooms are still in construction, there is no laundry and no game arcade. The only thing functioning was the hot tub and the fire places. We paid extra for the breakfast… basically muffins, cereal, and orange juice. The restaurant also is not serving dinner. The ski lockers are also not built yet. There is no ski shuttle, what they call the shuttle is actually the public bus. The place is right by the road so you will hear the cars and traffic. If you are coming in at night, watch out for the ditch on the right side of the entrance. The staff was nice and they tried to accommodate, but this failure is all on Hilton management. I will not be staying here again. The place opened too early… is it falsely advertised things that it does not have. The staff needs to be commended for putting up with angry customers like me.

I am always one to write positive reviews and hate writing negative reviews but my experience at Killington Mountain Lodge was probably one of the worst stays I’ve had in awhile. Check in was nice and the lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. The staff in general has been helpful. Upon entry, however, there was a rowdy group of “grown wannabe young frat boys” being loud and obnoxious near the pool table area. We arrived late at night and I was worried that we would be stuck in a room close to the bar/pool area where the man-children were hanging out. Thankfully, it wasn’t close. When we got into the room, none of the light switches worked, the toilet was rusted over and barely flushed, and there was a portable AC unit loudly humming in the room which I’m fine with so long as it worked.
The room itself along with the bathroom is a good size and the bed is large, but that’s all I can say. When I laid in the bed, the sheets were SCRATCHY and NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL. They look like they had not been washed in over a few weeks and were filled with wrinkles and overall just low quality material. I’ve never stayed in a hotel/motel/inn with sheets this low quality. I’ve stayed at a Motel 6 with better pillows and sheets!!! WiFi was slow, the fridge is tiny and barely keeps a low temperature.
For the price we paid, I was greatly disappointed in the quality we received. I’ve been around the Area multiple times and this is my first time staying in this establishment which will also probably be my last. This is shocking to me because there have been several poor reviews on this establishment and yet nothing has been done to address this despite management responding to negative reviews. Perhaps more time should be spent in renovations and quality improvement as opposed to responding to reviews.

In addition to the positives in the title, there was a light breakfast provided in the lobby that included oatmeal packets, oranges, yogurt, granola bars, coffee and hot water for tea, hot cocoa and oatmeal. Housekeeping and maintenance of the rooms and facilities could be improved however, as there were a few issues I had to bring to the attention of the front desk.
Overall it was a good deal for the price.

The hotel has seen better days. Very tired and run down. The staff is somewhat helpful if you ask them, but not really friendly. Breakfast was included with the two night stay. Powered eggs, barely defrosted frozen breads... it boggles the mind that they can’t afford to provide a commercial toaster. In the morning, people line up to use the four slice home toaster. It takes forever, and is a major inconvenience.

Was very excited to use our Hilton points to stay at beginning of Fall leaf turning season. Upon arrival, the front desk associate greeted us with a monotone voice and no friendly vibe. We were instructed not to drink the water and to help ourselves to the cooler of bottled water. Immediately upon entering our room, we noticed one set of towels and broken faucet on the hand sink. We asked the same front desk associate for more towels and someone to repair the faucet (4pm). We were told there were no more towels available until later in the evening and that someone would visit the room about the faucet. Finally 45 minutes later we were greeted by another employee who looked at the faucet and said he wasn’t sure if it could be repaired. While waiting for the repair, we opened the sliding glass doors to the balcony and were sadly disappointed to be looking at the loading dock and grassy area between the hotel and the busy road. In this space we could see trash scattered beside the building, a lovely cheap plastic shed missing a door which semi protected a pump of some kind. After waiting for one hour, we left the hotel and drove to Rutland where we ended up staying in another hotel that night. Upon leaving the hotel for Rutland, we were greeted by another employee who identified herself as a manager. She promised to return the 60,000 points we spent for the room. Three weeks has passed and still no reimbursement. This hotel in no way resembled the professionalism and quality of other Hilton hotels. The jacuzzi was an odd green color resembling algae, dirty towels laying around the pool area, trash cans overflowing, and a building in poor condition.
