Detailed Reviews
First time stay at the resort. We were there for a birthday weekend visit.
We had cabin #20. A one bedroom with a jet tub.
The cabin has a cute kitchen with everything you need for a stay.
The living room has a nice size couch, a ceiling fan, a wood stove (that was only used by us for ambiance as the heater was completely sufficient)and a decent size tv.
The bedroom has a king bed and a ceiling fan (which was wonderful for circulation)
The bathroom has a single stall shower and a jet tub big enough for two people.
The roads and driveways were plowed and sanded often which made driving after the big snow much easier.
The front office has options for treats and drinks and wood for the stove is available to purchase.
Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would love to come back in a different season to experience the area again!

Family of 5 traveling during COVID. No one (maid, etc) enters your cabin so you feel safe. they leave towels, etc for you. Everyone in the resort and the outside town wore masks. We felt very safe. Our cabin (2 bed; 1 bath) contained wifi, cable, fireplace, full kitchen with dishwasher, firepit, grill, deck, outside seats in your yard, and free parking for more than one car. The cabin was clean and well decorated. It did not feel rural inside. Outside there was nothing but trees, mountain views , dirt roads, grass and quiet. (There is a pool, etc in the summer, but we were there off season). If you are looking for a fast-paced area, this is not the place for you. This area is not Stowe or Burlington. That being said, if you are looking to unplug and enjoy nature, quiet, family time (or romantic time), etc, this is the perfect place. There was a gift shop on premises that contained ice, wood, free videos and board games to borrow, and some souvenirs . Everyone was wonderful. There is a small downtown area in Jeffersonville that contains gas stations, bank, restaurants, country store, etc about 5 minutes away. As long as you make it there by 8pm they are great options if you want to order out, etc. There is a slightly bigger town (Morrisville) approx 20 minutes away with a Dunkin, CVS, McD, and a few major named stores.

This was my birthday present from my husband, also my first time seeing snow. The resort was clean, the cabin kitchen was ready for anything that you might want to cook, the spa was very romantic. Most important was Barbara the owner (it's family owned) She was so helpful in where to go and the place to eat and visit. To complete the charm of the area was Willow the most enchanting dog and to complete the charm of a perfect winter vacation.

+1
Set in the Vermont countryside are a collection of 24 unique wooden lodges all fully equipped.
We had a one bedroom cabin no 18 which overlooked the lake.
It was very clean and comfortable and had all the facilities you need.
Jefforsonville is 10 minutes drive away and has a store to get all groceries
Would recommend and would return

We (daughter from Virginia and my wife and I from Surry, NH) originally were going to be their 5 days but bad snow storm reduced it to 4 days. Nevertheless. we had a great time! The resort has all modern amenities and allowed us to reduce our chances of getting Covid-19 because all units are self-contained. Our unit, one of over 20, was at the end of a snow covered road over which they had spread coarse sand. We had snow tires but nothing else and had no problem getting in and out and getting to Smuggler's Notch Resort and to the Jeffersonville downtown, which had a number of restaurants and a great, reasonably priced "Cupboard Deli". If you run out of anything, like tissues, you can stop by the Welcome Center and get more. The temperatures in January got down to -14F, but the cabin was always toasty. We had a chance to walk with our Golden Retriever in the snow and along the cabin roads, which was great exercise. The Resort supplied complimentary tea and coffee. I liked the tea so much that they gave us extra packs. I strongly suggest consulting the local map of the area because it shows all the local small roads, restaurants, and attractions. Dog friendly.

My wife and I rented the one bedroom, dog friendly cabin. This was an awesome experience. We brought our 10y/o boxer and he was very happy in the cabin. The wood stove was really nice and brought together the feeling of staying in a cabin rather than just a hotel. There is a jet tub and full kitchen. We cooked in for the stay and had everything we could need while there.
We took advantage of the recent snow and went snowshoeing at the onsite trails with the provided shoes. Perfect weekend getaway. Close enough to pop over to Burlington as well. Highly recommend.

My husband and I celebrated an early anniversary/early holiday trip this year at the new A-Frame cabin at sterling ridge. It was our first trip to Vermont and we absolutely fell in love with the state. The A-Frame far exceeded our expectations and the pictures do not do it justice. The location was perfect (though a bit far from Stowe due to the 108 closure) and we cannot say enough positive things about the entire stay, staff, check in and check out procedure at the resort and the grounds in general. Needless to say; we are already planning our next trip back.

My friends and I just stayed at the Mansfield House, the cabin that sleeps 14 people, for the third year in a row, and we couldn’t be any happier!! It is easy access to Smuggler’s Notch and surrounding hiking and breweries, and the cabin is beautiful on the inside, not to mention beautiful views of Mount Mansfield.
Wood stove, two kitchens, ample room for people to hang out, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the staff have always been so friendly and responsive. Thanks for a great stay!!

Wow! What can I say...this was my first time here and it certainly won’t be my last. Check in was easy—curbside. The place is very clean and the views are gorgeous. We had a studio cabin and it was quite beautiful and cozy with a nice view of the pond. It had a full kitchen too which we took advantage of during our stay. DVDs are available in the main office too which you can take and bring back after you finish watching them. They do have a game room which was closed due to COVID-19 but their pool was open. I will definitely be back.

Went here for an overnighter for our 41st wedding anniversary. Stayed in one of the smaller cabins, #10. VERY nice. All knotty pine inside, kitchenette, gas fireplace, cozy and very comfortable inside. A wonderful private, inviting get-away. We enjoyed being here very much and would recommend anyone staying here. The price was reasonable, for our smaller unit, comparable to many of the larger hotels in the region but a much nicer stay. Would highly recommend staying here. They have some very nice larger cabins that would be good for families o larger groups.

Jessica, Sterling Ridge Resort
We stayed at Sterling Ridge in March so it was too cold for mosquitos. I do not know how they would be this time of year.
Stowe village is about 30 minutes from Sterling Ridge. Jeffersonville is about 5 minutes.
There is no smoking IN any of the units.
