To continue visiting Sterling Ridge Resort for 13 visits and many more to come, really says some thing about this destination! It is like my home away from home and the staff treat you like family! when I come alone, canon 14 is my favorite. When I come with family, cabin 6 is my favorite. It is the cleanest and most well taken care of property of any destination I have ever been to! Susan from Southwick, Massachusetts
My friends and I just stayed at the Mansfield House, the cabin that sleeps 14 people, for the third year in a row, and we couldn’t be any happier!! It is easy access to Smuggler’s Notch and surrounding hiking and breweries, and the cabin is beautiful on the inside, not to mention beautiful views of Mount Mansfield. Wood stove, two kitchens, ample room for people to hang out, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the staff have always been so friendly and responsive. Thanks for a great stay!!
My wife had never seen snow so I took her to northern Vermont in February for her birthday. I wanted her to see falling snow in the wilderness (not a city) but I also didn't want us to have to "camp it" to do so. My hope was to stay in a good quality, winterized log cabin that had a fireplace, a juccuzzi and kitchen, and located in an area that had resort-like amenities, mainly for good groceries and restaurants. As soon as I found the website for Sterling Ridge I knew it was perfect. It was everything I had hoped for, and more. The staff are very nice and hospitable, the cabins are fully equipped and nuzzled in actual woods, it's located near Smuggler's Notch and Stowe ski resorts but far enough away to feel secluded (Jeffersonville has pop. 900), and very good restaurants are all around. And perhaps best of all, it snowed and snowed a lot during the three days we were there. Can't recommend Sterling Ridge Resort enough. I hesitate to write such a glowing comment because I don't want the area to become too popular but it deserves it.…
This was my birthday present from my husband, also my first time seeing snow. The resort was clean, the cabin kitchen was ready for anything that you might want to cook, the spa was very romantic. Most important was Barbara the owner (it's family owned) She was so helpful in where to go and the place to eat and visit. To complete the charm of the area was Willow the most enchanting dog and to complete the charm of a perfect winter vacation.
Went here for an overnighter for our 41st wedding anniversary. Stayed in one of the smaller cabins, #10. VERY nice. All knotty pine inside, kitchenette, gas fireplace, cozy and very comfortable inside. A wonderful private, inviting get-away. We enjoyed being here very much and would recommend anyone staying here. The price was reasonable, for our smaller unit, comparable to many of the larger hotels in the region but a much nicer stay. Would highly recommend staying here. They have some very nice larger cabins that would be good for families o larger groups.
