In these times, it is difficult to feel safe and comfortable. Elsa guided us through a very relaxing and comfortable stay during some hot summer days. The accommodations were adjusted to be in keeping with safety and enjoyment. The staff was friendly, helpful and watchful for our safety. We stayed in Edna Cabin and had a great view of Caspian Lake. The water was very warm and we did spend most of our days on the beach. People did social distance and wear masks. It has been years since we had a chance to stay at Highland Lodge and that was only in the winters. The summers there are great!

Thank you Chad and Elsa for making us feel at home. Stayed in the Appolt Cabin. Cozy, clean and comfortable. Fans in every room. No air conditioning. Beautiful view of Caspian Lake.. Hiking trail right behind lodge and access to lake directly across street with paddle boats and other fun things. Breakfast simple with fresh fruit, cheerios, homemade granola and yogurt. Dog friendly! Thank you!

This was our first trip to Highland lodge and we were among the first visitors since the COVID closings and couldn't have been happier with the staff, accomodations and food. Also very pleased that all the staff followed the COVID guidelines while making us feel very comfortable. Our rooms were great, the vistas incredible and lots to do on the lake. We will be back! Thank you to all the staff :)

We really enjoyed our trip to Highland Lodge. We stayed in a cottage overlooking Caspian Lake. They have a private beach at the Lake with kayaks, canoes, rowboats. Just a short walk or drive. There are hiking trails. We were there just as they opened. All precautions were taken regarding COVID. Masks were worn and the food was presented in a take out format. They had picnic tables which offered more outside dining. Can’t say enough good things about Elsa and Chad, GeneraL Managers. Check in was contact free. We texted them if we needed anything and they were quick to respond! We will be returning, can’t wait!!!!

This was the second year in a row my ski team stayed at Highland Lodge for our annual ski weekend. Heidi and her staff are the best host! Barbara made sure all our meals were taken care of and Ginger was attentive with our rooms! Everyone goes out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and having a good stay! I'd love to come back in the summer. The views of the lake are amazing and I imagine in the summer it's a sweet spot to soak of Vermont summer! Highly recommend Highland Lodge for any season!!!

Thanks so much for writing, Melissa! We love the energy your skiers bring us every year - especially since you always bring plenty of fluffy snow every time! We enjoy welcoming large groups and it's a great place for everyone to gather. Let's definitely plan a beach trip for this summer - you deserve it!
