We came here for a conference. They do have 4 rooms to host. They have skating shoes for rent, and food served where delicious! Ample parking space and I could see there were plenty of rooms to avail of. Looks like a lot of people come here to skate during the winter

I have been sitting here in California, looking at photos and reading the reviews and mourning that this July 4th, COVID 19 has blocked our annual family vacation at Lake Morey. We have been coming to Lake Morey for about 10 years. It is a hidden gem in the mountains of Vermont. I was shocked to read some of the complains and would like to address them, as I found them unfair. The Avery family who owns this resort, takes their hospitality very seriously. Every person who works there is like a family member and treats their job as if they were the owner. Over the 10+ years we have been going we have had some problems, as anyone would when they vacation, but the staff was more than gracious in resolving every one of them. The place is old and rustic but in excellent repair and has charm that you will not find at the Hyatt or Hilton or any upscale resort. The rooms and decor are country style. The spa is beautiful and very modernized. The cost of staying includes the use of canoes. Kayaks and paddle boards (here in California the lake resorts charge upward of $50 per day to take out a kayak) the amenities in the room include herbal soaps, mint shampoo and conditioner And bath gel and body lotion. The housekeeping staff is very thorough and are happy to bring extra toiletries and towels. There are refrigerators that can be requested. There is entertainment in the evenings, bands, family game nights and on July 4 an amazing fireworks show that is comparable to that at Disneyland. There are movie nights in the hotels theater and all of this is free of charge. To the Avery family: we are heart broken to be missing this year with you. Wish you the best and good health and look forward to seeing you next summer.

My daughter and I visited the resort to enjoy some lake ice skating. We were pleasantly surprised by all the extras at the resort. The expansive great room is relaxing, fun and family friendly with many games, seating areas, and a beautiful view of the lake. A live band played in the evening we stayed. The resort has lots of charm with a casual feel and we felt right at home. We look forward to returning!

4 couples booked rooms for a weekend stay to attend a nearby wedding. Here’s a brief summary of the issues. The rooms were all old and in need of a deep cleaning. Mattresses uncomfortable and pillows awful. Tried to log into Wi-Fi the first evening and were unable (little wheel just kept spinning). So we called the front desk and were told “I’ll check the routers but it’s probably just too many people trying to login”. The next morning tried to take a shower. We let the water run in the shower and sink for way too long and it never even got tepid. Remained ice cold. After breakfast, which was mediocre at best, we went to the front desk to mention the Wi-Fi and cold water. We were told we must have been doing it wrong! Curious that all of us separately were doing it wrong. By then we were able to login (same way as we tried the night before). They said they would send someone to check on the hot water and by the time we got back to the room it was working. Later that afternoon thought it might be nice to have a bath. The tub apparently is for catching shower water only. No tub spigot and no way to stopper the drain. Final straw, the next morning thought we would turn on the TV to look at the Sunday morning news shows. While the TV came on, there were no channels. Tried everything. The remote did turn the set on and off but nothing else was visible. (Yes, tried changing inputs and everything else). As we checked out, we mentioned all of this to the desk person who either had heard this all before or just didn’t care. And as others have said the air conditioning was very very noisy, had to turn it off and you can easily hear anyone walking by out side the door or even from the floor above. The lake front is lovely. We did get and complete an after stay survey. Wrote all of this. Asked to be contacted by management. Still nothing.

First impression on checking in - DARK, OUTDATED and HAUNTED. The supposedly "updated" room had two beds which were highly irregular. My wife, all of 5'5", had to sleep diagonally to prevent her legs from hanging off the end of the bed. Not sure what size these beds were - maybe they were salvaged from an RV? The large spiders that hung about the windows at night were certainly a gift. What would it take fo the staff to clean the outside of the building. Honestly, we are surprised this place is still operating. Granted, the location is picturesque and the golf course decent, but the accommodations themselves leave a lot to be desired. By the way, there is no beachfront here and the indoor pool looked disgusting along with its surrounding deck. Overall, the resort suffers from poor staffing and poor maintenance. This leftover from the 70s should be avoided. Spend your money elsewhere.

I went there for business but stayed for an extra day with spouse.
Not what I expected for a resort. The hotel needs to be updated. There were cobwebs in the first room, and the second night stay, different room, was a bad experience for us, the king size mattress was hard and the sheets were rough. When I brought this up during checkout, the person who checked me out said something like: this is the first time I'm hearing that.
The chicken lunch did not have much taste and was a waste of money. There are other things I was not happy with, but will stick with the basics.
Overall, overpriced and not the experience I was hoping.

We had a fabulous Easter Brunch Buffet at Lake Morey Resort yesterday! Extensive options for breakfast and lunch and desserts. Wow! The decorations and view were lovely and the service was great! So yummy! It was $55 for adults INCLUDING all taxes, fees and tip. I'm already salivating over Mother's Day Brunch there.

Great stay! Decent rates, nice breakfast buffet, beautiful lake, nice golf course & attended a lovely wedding. Rooms could’ve been cleaner is my only feedback. Free bike rentals was a nice touch (although they are single speed)… a ride around the lake was the perfect morning activity!

Wow, there is so much to say about this place. Although I am biased since I have been vacationing here every summer since I was a child, I consider Lake Morey to be my second home.
Over the years, I have made close relations with the employees and other guests who attend at the same time. We annually come during the Fourth of July where the hotel hosts fun celebrations all week long. We also stay an extra week (how could we resist) to enjoy peace and quiet after all the festivities.
My family's favorite traditions include hiking to Eagles Bluff, spending time on the lake tubing and wake surfing (and fishing), and getting to enjoy time with family and reconnecting with friends.
The staff at this hotel will not hesitate to help you with anything you ask for, share a conversation about the local area, and will always be happy to see you. Mark and Lisa are some of the most hard-working and caring people you could meet. They try their best to make you feel like you are in your own home. The boat drivers, especially Ezra, are always ready to jump in the lake to help you out with the paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks available for use.
Your stay at Lake Morey Resort will not disappoint. I have made lifelong memories and friends that I will cherish forever and I look forward to making many more. DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK!!

Our family had our second wonderful trip to Lake Morey Resort. I was hesitant while booking as our trip last February was during high Covid restrictions and thought it was a bright spot in a hard year. I couldn't have been more wrong. When we walked into the lobby families and friends were gathered in the lounge and front entry of the hotel. Our lakeside room was clean and spacious. The small deck looked over frozen lake Morey cleared after a recent snowfall with 4 hockey play areas (normally 12) and 2 skating paths of which the larger was about a half mile loop. Unfortunately we missed out on the larger loop around the entire lake because of two recent warmups of near 50 degrees. Our kids enjoyed a movie in the theater in the resort one night and we all skated during the day with skate rentals included with the stay. There were also snowshoes, cross country skies and sleds available to use around the lake or the snow covered greens of the country club. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the resort and breakfast sandwiches at the county club which I ordered online and picked up to have an lazy breakfast in or room. One morning we went to the Fairlee Diner for breakfast which was amazing. This is not a new resort, but has been updated thought the years keeping the charm of traditional Vermont vacationing. My wife and I loved walked the hallways seeing the historic photos and the continued tradition of a family resort. Our biggest question is what is this resort like the summer and I think we will find out this summer. Thank you Lake Morey Resort for a great stay.
