We made a quick trip to Vermont, and found this historic Inn online. The inn is quite charming, with many original features. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room (Tolkien) was beautifully appointed and very clean. Slight negatives were a very firm mattress (we prefer something softer), and an odd placement of the bathroom...

The Marble Mansion inn is quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable and we slept well. The owners are pleasant and personable and breakfast was great. The owner helped us locate some real maple syrup to take home. Thank you for a great stay. Second honeymoon.

The themed rooms were tastfully decorated. We stayed in the Rudyard Kipling room and had two exquisite breakfasts. The cheese soufflette was exceptional. The porch is a work in progress but when completed the entrance will compliment the interior.

This B & B is very nice, loved the many wonderful details in house, not much to do in the immediate area, but still a very very nice place to stay. The owners are Greg and Sharon Parke, although Sharon was the only one there that weekend. She was not as personable as the help (can't recall her name). But...

Rooms are very nicely decorated and beds are comfortable. Found it extremely quiet, like we were the only ones there. Breakfast was very good, and they will work with you if you have any allergies or dislikes. There are a lot of stairs, so if that is a problem make sure you ask for a room on the ground floor.

This home, though it really needs a ton of exterior work, should be a regular house museum. We've been to a great many historic homes, belonging to famous people, designed by famous architects or depicting a particular genre that is long since forgotten. First of all, the work that needs to be done. It is huge; but that is more...

We have stayed here twice while on bike trips. The mansion is very bike friendly with a covered secure place to store bikes overnight. We had the Jane Austen room this visit. Beautifully decorated with a peacock theme. The bed was soft and comfortable. We all enjoyed relaxing on the porch after riding most of the day. Sharon gave us...

Every year our bike group tours Vermont and we make it a point to book at the Marble Mansion. Sharon treats us terrifically. The rooms are unusually decorated ... gilded age in great comfort! Don't stay here if you want a cookie-cutter hotel-motel. Beds are like sleeping on a cloud and breakfast is the best I've ever experienced at a...

Stayed here for two nights to attend a reunion weekend nearby. Upon arrival first impression was not great. Entire front porch has peeling paint everywhere and is dirty. Only needs a blower to clean it up. Had lots of beautiful flower pots though. We had Wm Shakespeare for two nights. Very nice room, bath had a very tiny shower with...

It’s amazing how vindictive some people get when they don’t get their way when making unreasonable requests. We state very clearly that breakfast is served from 0800-1000 on our website. On occasion, we can do it somewhat earlier, but with prior arrangement. We apologize, but 0600 for breakfast is beyond our flexibility. You are quite right the front porch has...
