I spent 4 nights here. Bought living social vouchers. Watch out for those because they do not include resort fees and taxes which can add up to 30 more per night. Additionally we decided to upgrade and it was a big mistake. We ended up paying over $50 more per night for the room. The bed was awful so soft...

My wife and I enjoyed a cooking class last night. We learned how to make pasta and made a delicious ground lamb ragu, blistered tomato caprese salad and molten lava cake. Chef Steve A was an excellent teacher, so supportive and worked with our varying levels of experience. Strongly recommend for couples or small groups for a great evening.

Was given a weekend getaway as a gift, ended up staying an extra day. Lovely resort with wonderful amenities. Two on site restaurants were fabulous. Did not attend the culinary class, but enjoyed the spa services. Friendly, attentive staff in all areas of the resort.

My husband and I came for a long weekend and booked a package, so we had spa credit, a cooking class, a tour, breakfasts, and credit toward Junction. We enjoyed every bit! We had a spa room in the main building - it was lovely, although the fireplace was just for looks and did not give out heat. Spa was...

From the moment we drove up to the front door, we were impressed. Beautiful grounds, architecture and classical music playing in the background. We immediately felt at "home", relaxed and awaiting some culinarian delights! We signed up for the Friday night Cooking Series- Spain. We made Romesco Sauce, Paella, Stuffed dates with local Blue Cheese and Serrano Ham, and the...

This was our second time at the Essex. Both times were after Christmas. The resort was very tastefully decorated for the holiday. The Tavern had great selections of craft beer which we really enjoyed. We had dinner at The Junction at the chef's table. This is a must! It is so much fun to interact with the chefs. We had...

So, I'm torn between average and very good. First the good: the rooms were large, the bathroom small and not particularly well cleaned. The showers in the spa however were large, modern and clean. The outdoor hot tub was very nice after skiing. The sauna never worked. The location was pretty good, 20 mins from Burlington and 45 from Smugglers....

The kids loved the hotel. From the complementary mini-cupcakes on arrival to the complementary hot cocoa and cookies in the late afternoon, great pool and hot tub and the movie just down the street. We had a great 24hr winter getaway.
