The kids loved the hotel. From the complementary mini-cupcakes on arrival to the complementary hot cocoa and cookies in the late afternoon, great pool and hot tub and the movie just down the street. We had a great 24hr winter getaway.

Although this once used to be a culinary institute, this place has really finally figured it out. They have two wonderful restaurants, they also have cooking classes that you can take which are a lot of fun and very interactive. They have plenty of great local beer on tap and this is a wonderful place to have an engagement party....

First the good stuff: Spa experience is amazing. Exercise facility and pool are wonderful. The culinary classes are fun and food is tasty. Junction restaurant has great food and a nice atmosphere. What needs work: The fireplaces in the room are for show or synthetic flames only ; ours didn't produce heat. Facility was cold. Vermont is cold in the...

We stayed in a suite with a king bed room, and kitchenette with gas fire place. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed the spa (pool, jacuzzi, steam room) every day - so relaxing. We enjoyed dinner at the pub. We also went to Burlington for dinner. Great service and amenities!

I wish we were located closer to this property so we could enjoy it more often. We were visiting for a winter wanderlust trip and we were not disappointed. We ended our trip by spending our last night at The Essex and wish we had planned more time for our stay there. We actually tried to extend our trip! The...

Every person working at the Essex was kind, helpful, and cheerful. I enjoyed a nice dinner at the Junction one night. The food at the Junction was good, didn't...

The hotel rooms are very quaint and relaxing. Each one is unique! The spa is a full serve spa with a plethora of treatments available. The food is amazing. You are greeted by food from when you walkin to the front desk (two bakery cases), the classes they offer and the two restaurants. Forget about your diet and indulge, it...

We stayed at the Essex Spa with a few friends for the New Year's Eve Weekend. We ended up buying a package that included the cooking class, spa package, dinner at the Junction, and breakfast. We also bought the passes for the New Year’s Eve party for $40 ticket. My wife loves to cook, so she and her friends signed...
