We offer two beautiful, pet friendly country homes: Larkspur and Foxglove cabins. Located in a peaceful mountain setting of 140 acres, our lodges are the perfect place to "get away from it all." Lovingly furnished, each home-away-from-home has all the modern conveniences - full kitchens with dishes and cookware, wireless internet, laundry, DVD, covered porches where you can relax and unwind, and a fenced dog run so your pets can enjoy the outdoors too! Come hear the birds sing, enjoy a campfire with friends and family, and see the sunrises, sunsets, and starry night sky. Only 45 minutes from Stowe, Smugglers Notch, and Jay Peak.

We stayed in the Eden Mountain Lodge for a weekend, in conjunction with a dogsled ride at Eden Dogsledding (see separate tripadvisor listing for that). It was an amazing, magical weekend! There are 3 cabins, all very different, all fairly close together, and all very near the barn for the Eden Ethical Dogsledding rides. That said, we were not near anything else except beautiful woods, pasture and lovely, lovely mountain views! We stayed in the Larkspur cabin, the log cabin. SOOOO lovely! and comfortable! We were there on a VERY cold weekend (-20F when we woke up). I was worried about it being cold, but we were actually just fine! there was a lovely gas fireplace which provided a lot of warmth as well as the heater in the wall. No heat upstairs, but a lot of grates in the floor let heat form downstairs up. No problem at all! The cabin could have easily slept 5 people, and you could have squeezed in another if you were all very friendly. Only one bathroom and that WAS cold. Foosball table, full kitchen, cozy living room. Very minimal wifi - check your email then turn off your connection so others can use it ;-) But that turned out to be lovely! we turned off our phones for the weekend (except for taking lots of photos!) and just enjoyed being there, in the woods in the mountains. Lots of pristine forest for snowshoeing, WONDERFUL dogsled ride (book separately), and cozy time in the cabin. There is no restaurant for some distance. I planned ahead and brought food for all our weekend meals. It was romantic, fun and beautiful. A perfect weekend!

Our family had such a great visit and sled trip. It was far more than a joy ride. We got to know all the dogs and their personalities. You really get to know the dogs by hanging out with them. Deborah and Ethan taught us so much about the dogs and ethical dog sledding. Great people! The sled trails are beautiful and well maintained. Planning on going back for a weekend and bringing our friends.

The cabins are cozy and well taken care of. Beautiful land, wonderful owner, fun dog sledding experience. We were a large group and the cabins fit everyone. Close to Stowe and many wineries/breweries if you are off the mountain. Can't wait to go back!

Everyone is friendly and knowledgable. The cabins are clean and cozy. The dogs are so gentle and well cared for by the owners. We can't wait to go back!

Greatest getaway for me and my city boys (oops, dogs)! We have been going at least a few days every winter for years and have never been disappointed. The trails are FANTASTIC, Jim and his dogs are role models for all animal lovers - best place to relax, get some exercise, forget stress and work frenzy. Can't wait for our next stay :)

I went to Eden Mountain Lodge last weekend with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. The Larkspur cabin was cozy and rustic but had all the amenities we needed. We went dogsledding (so fun!) and hit up a couple nearby breweries during the day and relaxed by the fire at night. After seeing our pictures, all our friends want to come with us next time. The only downside is that it is a bit of a drive from NYC but it was worth it.

traveled to eden mountain to try a fun, brief getaway with college and hs aged kids and keep them engaged. SO much fun. we stayed in larkspur....great little cabin. Toasty warm, cozy fireplace. brought breakfast and lunch and snacks. Out to Morristown for dinner (meh?). Back to cabin for game nights and last game of regular season (football!) Took a sled ride and learned about the dogs and their habits....everyone really knowledgeable and friendly. Dogs were so cool. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I planned a last minute weekend getaway and stayed in the very cozy Foxglove cabin. The cabin was perfect! I really enjoyed the wood burning stove and beautiful wood floors with radiant heat. The kitchen was also extremely convenient and had all the amenities we needed - it was like home away from home. Though we did not bring pets to the pet friendly cabin, we loved playing with all the dogs that visited us on our porch. We would definitely recommend this lodge to our friends and will likely return for some dog sledding once there is snowfall!

I always wanted to visit Vermont when I was younger and now that I have a family and kids I decided to. I found Eden Lodge by doing a basic Google search for cabins in the Northeast Kingdom and was sold after browsing the site for about 10 mins. We stayed in the FoxGlove cabin for 4 nights which was especially homely. We took day trips each of the 4 days and were gone for 8-9 hours a day and loved coming back to retreat to bed at the cabin. I walked with my son around the grounds and down the dirt roads and even heard a moose and found tracks. Jim the owner was truly dedicated to his work and passion for the dogs (all 33 of them) I got to see a lot of the dogs and hang out with them some even though we didn't have the extra money for a sled dog ride ... next time it will be a must do. Just a fair bit of warning .. there is only local TV 13-15 channels and the DSL internet worked 1 day while we were there but that was the best part in a way since we spent all of our time out and exploring instead of cooped up inside the cabin. We had beautiful weather all 4 days so count us lucky. Eden Lodge lived up to my expectations and more and though its not for everyone as Jim says.. for the people that do like this sort of thing it was truly "Eden". Thanks Jim!

We stayed with our great dane at the Lakspur cabin and it was a place to remember. Quiet, relaxing and cozy all in the same place. Full kitchen amenities, grocery near by. The Lakspur cabin is rustic but so charming with the big stone fireplace that we use 2 nights in a row. Our great dane ad so much fun with Luna at the pond and in the trails that for shure we will come back. Also only 3 hours from Montreal.
