As usual, my wife and I had a wonderful dinner and overnight stay at the Derby Line Village Inn. Chef Fritz's cooking is among the best in Vermont, the staff are very nice, and the room was comfortable. We highly recommend this Inn.

Lovely older Inn with a restaurant and bar. The entire Inn was just beautiful. Gleaming hardwood floors throughout, natural woodwork, large comfortable bedrooms. There are no TVs in the rooms but there is one at the bar. The Bavarian owner and his wife are gracious hosts and he is also a great chef. Make a reservation for dinner because many of the locals dine there regularly especially on weekends. Breakfast is included in their very reasonable room charge and it's wonderful. This Inn is in northern Vermont and an entrance to Canada is just down the main street and also an entrance/exit for I 91 . I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.

Our stay at the Derby Line Village Inn was at the recommendation of a dear friend that was born, and raised in Derby, and who still has retired parents in the town. We stayed for two nights, with dinner on the Saturday. Our stay, and dinner was beyond phenomenal! Fritz, Paula, and the Inn team made our trip a vacation to remember! Fritz is an awesome chef, a great person to talk to, and has a dinner menu that will not disappoint!! Michelle and Fritz also provide a first class breakfast for their lodging guests.

If you, like we, value unique experiences over the corporate regulars, you need to put the Derby Line Village Inn in your travel plans. Each room is unique in its decor and appointments. You will discover an amazing aesthetic and scrupulous attention to detail and cleanliness. Our bed was so comfortable. I haven't slept that late in years. Fritz and Paula are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was amazing. Food is fresh and hot and everything is prepared from scratch on the premises. Staying at the inn is a treat not to be missed.

Fritz is the most hospitable host. Everyone who works there is so outgoing and generous. We stayed one night and had a fabulous dinner and the breakfast was perfect. We will absolutely visit again, even if just to see the old house. The owners keep the grand old house in perfect condition.

I didn't think it could get this good but it did! We spent a night here before crossing the border to Canada. I looked ahead and knew they had a restaurant but didn't know they had such a great chef (Fritz) who puts out some really, really excellent Austrian meals. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. They also have a full bar. Our room (#3) was very nice though the bathroom was a bit tight. No TV in the rooms and maybe that's a good thing as this is a house and I would not want to listen to someone's TV blasting into the night. We also were lucky to be here at Christmas time and so we got to see all of Paula's great Christmas decorations. She does a beautiful job.

Thanks to Paul and Fritz for a wonderful stay at the DLVI. The rooms are nicely furnished, beds comfortable and fireplaces in every room. Breakfasts and dinners are amazing here. And they were very accommodating for our vegetarians.

Paula and Fritz are wonderful hosts at this most beautiful B&B in the Northeast Kingdom. All 5 rooms are decorated with style and all have ensuite bathrooms. The food is superb, and service is spot on. We visit often and you will too. Many thanks to Paula and Fritz, and staff (Marina is an exceptional server), for making our anniversary getaway special. See you soon.

Another 5 Star meal!! We have been going here every year during our VT vacation for more than a decade. The food never fails to impress whether we get the same thing or something new. The service is always great. Even if they are busy and understaffed and thus it takes longer, you still feel like they are taking care of you. From the bread and flavored butters all the way through to the amazing desserts, everything is delicious!!!! The beer and wine selection is top notch. And they are always willing to go off menu to the extent possible. We absolutely love this place and never miss it. It is so hard to pick just a few of our favorites, but we LOVE the potato pancakes, schnitzel, Octoberfrst platter, the red cabbage side dish, the apple strudel and chocolate mousse (again, just to name a few).

Wonderful time at the Derby Line Village Inn! Paula and Fritz were amazing hosts. Very friendly and kind and they prepared wonderful breakfasts for the guests. The Austrian decor and food is definitely worth the trip to the Canadian border in VT!
