Paula & Fritz are amazing team. The Room was perfect & extremely comfortable bedding. The Dinner was incredible, the Breakfast was so delicious. I would absolutely go back & stay here again - i am very very picky about where I will stay. Fritz even played the accordion for us - a little private show with our breakfast. They were both so personable & kind. 5 Stars!

Wonderful welcome on arrival. Rooms are comfy and fireplaces great during the snowstorm. Paula and Fritz are perfect hosts. Dinner in front of wood burning fireplace was romantic and exceptional. We especially loved the PEI mussels and schnitzel. Breakfast was included with room cost. We adored the homemade sausages and eggs cooked to order. We’ll definitely return.

Our experience certainly doesn’t square with the majority of reviews posted here. Rather than be overly critical, will leave it to others that follow to justify more than an average rating. The decor is certainly tired, the food poorly plated and presented, and given the over abundance of food ... a rush to clear the table before all diners have completed their meal left some rushing to keep up. While reasonably priced, the our meal did not measure up to expectations and will not expect to return. Kudos, however, to our waiter who was friendly and engaging.

Thank you for taking the time reviewing us , I guess you have not been prepared to dine in an Austrian German concept as it states in most reviews it is an Austrian / German fair on the other hand would love to hear your expertize in the short comings on our Austrian / German flavors

My wife's bucket list has included a stay in a Vermont Bed-n-Breakfast for quite some time. We arrived at this charming b-n-b in the evening after a trip through Quebec, Canada. We had already had dinner, but, after getting settled in our room, we decided to go downstairs for dessert. We were not disappointed! The dessert sampler was superb--the best creme brulee I have ever tasted! We slept well in a most comfortable bed and awoke to a delicious breakfast with homemade Austrian sausages, scrambled eggs and potatoes, and delectable fruit with maple yogurt. What a party for the taste buds! As we were preparing to head out for the day, Fritz and Paula talked to us a bit about the surrounding area and what to see before heading to New Hampshire for the evening. Just before we said our goodbyes, Fritz surprised my wife with a lovely rendition of "Edelweiss" on the Austrian accordian. What a treat! If you are near Derby Line, Derby Line Village Inn will not disappoint!
