Lunch was terrific. The inn handles the coronavirus requirements very well. The staff was uniformly helpful and cheerful. The ambiance in the pub was wonderful, with appropriate social distancing. The long views - terrific. My husband had the pad thai with salmon. The portion was very large, with both the pad thai and salmon well prepared. I had the black bean cheeseburger, which was fine, with a generous serving of sweet potato fries.

My husband and I booked an hour ride with Marissa through the Mountaintop Resort while we were staying in the Killington area. Since there were no other riders scheduled at the same time slot, we had Marissa all to ourselves. She was a great guide and gently navigated us through the beautiful Vermont woods. Our horses were nimble and we felt safe the whole time. We've done some trail riding in Vermont with other organizations in the past but this experience was definitely the best! Reasonable prices and attentive staff. We will be back!

My experience at Mountain Top was delightful with a healthy dose of therapeutic. Scientists continue to investigate the details surrounding the healing properties of a well-made Vermont breakfast, but early research is clearly promising. The delicious breakfasts at Mountain Top Inn set the tone for a cozy, satisfying, and wholesome day. The dining staff are friendly and professional; warm and family-like, but still managing to uphold strict guidelines and procedures to suit a post-COVID world. I felt extremely comfortable on campus— the team clearly worked hard to make sure they took all the necessary precautions and then some. But as much as the delicious dining experiences shaped my mornings, it is the activities center that I want to shine a light on. I cannot say enough good things about the staff running the equestrian center, particularly the trail rides. As an absolute novice (never having been on a horse before coming to Mountain Top) I was instantly at ease thanks to the confidence, patience, and encouragement of the staff here. I was hooked, and in the week I was here I signed up for 5 trail rides, one of them being a 2 hour ride. Marissa led all of my rides this week, and it is clear she has a genuine passion for the work she does. It comes out in her friendly demeanor, excitement to see new riders enjoying themselves, and the unending patience she has for riders of all levels. It is obvious she enjoys what she is doing, and her energy made the rides exponentially more enjoyable. The grounds themselves are beautiful, so even if you’re opting not to partake in the friendly chatter of your lovely guide, you’re still going to be absolutely smitten by the experience. There is something grounding about leisurely making your way through a picturesque Vermont trail that makes it VERY easy to forget about the number of emails waiting in your inbox. I found the experience addictive and wound up signing up day after day. The equestrian center staff as a whole deserve mention and accolades. My younger brother, a young man with special needs, was curious about horseback riding after seeing my excitement, so the staff worked with us to set up a pony ride for him. Even though he got nervous and didn’t go further than the stable, the team was patient, kind, and supportive. They encourage him to enjoy sitting on the horse, and when he opted to get down they let him enjoy the remainder of the experience just petting him. It was truly an above-and-beyond moment that my family greatly appreciated. Special thank you to Marissa and Georgia for their help and patience, and Sarge the horse for being a trooper. Overall, Mountain Top Inn proved to be an amazing oasis with the best kind of people. From Mike at the front desk, to Abigail in the dining room, to Marissa at the Equestrian center, every single person we encountered embodied the friendly and good-hearted Vermont nature that my family has come to love. We have been visiting different spots in Vermont for the last 9ish years and Mountain Top has, without a doubt, secured its spot at the very top of our list. **ps: I have barely begun to scratch the surface of the activities available at MTI but I could go on forever if I don’t draw the line somewhere.

We recently stayed here for a weekend in September and are already thinking about how we can go back next year. This place has it all! Gorgeous views, private lake, hiking trails, gift shop, pool/hot tub, delicious restaurant, and best of all for me - a horseback riding barn with one of the best riding programs around. Marissa our instructor did a great job and Khele is also a wonderful member of the team!

5 Stars, 5 Stars, 5 Stars! Can’t say that enough! My husband and I started our venue hunt in early 2019. Mountain Top Inn was the first venue we went to, we fell in love and booked it without touring any other venues. We chose Mountain Top Inn due to all of the amenities they had right there for us. On-site spa, florist, incredible food, beautiful views, stunning spot for the rehearsal dinner by the beach, the beautiful cabins and lodge for guests to stay in, it was truly a no brainer. From the start of planning the wedding in 2019, everything was a breeze, and continued to stay that way even with COVID. Carly was our coordinator and she ensured we stayed on track with planning months out. When COVID hit, we started to hear horror stories about how awful some venues were being. MTI was the complete and total opposite. Carly and the MTI team continued to keep us at ease and up to date on restrictions as they came out. Although our COVID wedding was not what we had originally pictured, MTI worked with us every step along the way to make our special day absolutely perfect. Very big and special thank you to Carly, Khele, Gayle and Jay!! I am so incredibly thankful to have chosen MTI as our wedding venue. We will be back to renew our vows or just to stay at this beautiful resort.
